I started reading this book thinking that I would probably like this one the least of the six books in the series, as the characters were not part of the family that is being followed in the rest of the books. I was really, really wrong - I actually really loved this one, possibly because of all the books this is the only one where I truly liked both the male and female lead characters. The author also really did well in portraying the different sides of 椰汁's personality, from the ruthless to the caring - I ended up thinking, "well yes he is a bit extreme as to how he punishes and kills people, but it's perfectly reasonable if you look at it from his standpoint..." In fact, this is the only book so far that I've read in the series where she takes care to develop and explain the male character as much as she did.

This book should be treated as a companion to 金银错 - same time period and the characters are completely interlinked. It's really interesting to see the same sequence of events told from the viewpoint of four different people.

Từ ngày Goodreads hạn chế người đọc không được tự tạo sách mới, thật là khó thêm sách đã đọc. Vì kha khá quyển mình đọc không nổi, mới ra lò hoặc là ebook tự dịch của các chị em bạn hiền trên mạng :D

Cuốn Phù Đồ Tháp của Vưu Tứ Tỷ này cũng không kiếm được edition tiếng Việt, mà phải tìm bằng tiếng Trung. Cũng vì nghe phim được chuyển thể từ truyện này nên mới kiếm để đọc. Đọc xong thấy Vương Hạc Đệ về giao diện có vẻhợp vai thật đó, nhưng mà không biết ẻm có diễn được hết những biến chuyển tâm lý của ngài thái giám giả - từ chai sạn giá băng vì ngập trong nỗi thù hận và tàn độc sang khát khao hạnh phúc và "người" hơn không. Nam chính phúc hắc , bá đạo dạo này là xu hướng của màn ảnh xứ Trung thì phải :D

Nhìn chung cuốn này hơn là một truyện đọc giải trí - với các tình tiết chặt chẽ, có kịch tính và nhiều mưu mô, nhất là mô tả tâm lý nhân vật tốt.

A pretty enjoyable read but nothing outstanding. The last 5 episodes were very sweet though. 3/5 stars
