The Marriage Contract

Rate this book
Kari had no plans for a marriage of convenience when she walked into a meeting with the President of the Kennedy Group of Companies, but it was the only option she was left with after a business deal her father had with the Kennedy Group.

Blake was only looking to expand his empire and wasn't interested in marriage or a fake wife, but what she had to offer was promising enough for him to give in to her demands.

A strictly business-only contract turns into something else, and when Kari and Blake become more than business partners, she finds out he has a heart filled with secrets and darkness. Does she back out of the contract or go for more?

The Marriage Contract by PG Van is fabulous book to read . She has unique style of telling her stories .
I LOVE ALL HER STORIES AND CHARACTERS .Each and Every Character has grey and white shades to their persona .
Here in this story I love Karina Vora and Blake Krishna Kenndy's character because they have strong and independent thinking .Due to this physical passion flares up easily . Not only that they have huge ego about their capabilities with Karina parents trying to cox her in sighing a deed that will allow her to lead normal life .

Hmm Blake Krishna Kennedy is charming dream prince which every girl would fall for . And Karina Vora is a fearless passionate and next door women who has soft and romantic heart .

So Grab The Marriage Contract by PG Van romance lovers to enjoy some passion moments .

Contract marriage is one of the oldest romantic twists written since Victorian days. But every time I read one, I get a new twist. Ms. Van has not disappointed me at all. First of all, I loved the name Kari. had an unusual softness to it when said out loud. The way her character is portrayed is bold. Feminists out there will love it. Blake, on the other hand, is all naughty and mischievous and is a perfect partner for Kari. I like the 'Desi' vibes I got from this story being a Desi myself. Some of the dialogues and the mannerisms Ms. Van has given to the Indian community of relatives around Kari, is very relatable.

Having read (and loved) author's The Evil Twin, one can guess when you get author's new release in your hands, you just cant wait to start reading.

Loved the way she weaves a story. its just un-put-downable... once you start reading you just cant stop in between, its so engrossing that you cant stop until you finish the story.

Simple language, suggestive book cover but apt to title n story within. Lovely story line, well described characters with as usual an hint or background to Indians and their traditions/reference.

Lovely read and must if you love romance with erotica.

This book is my second read by this author, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The ideal office and marriage romance read, complete with twists, drama, and thrills. The characters are strong, which I love to read, and so is the story. Attraction is too intense that it starts to burn in my skin. The reason that I finished this book is simple language, good story and perfect devolvement of the characters and relationship.

A perfect mixture of romance and reality.🥰😍
What hit me the most is the obsession of Kari with success and that of Blake with safety of people around.

A nice read!

I liked the story but at times, it seemed exaggerated. However, the chemistry between the main protagonists was really good and I loved reading this book.

Lighthearted romance

The book contained everything a mix of banter, and potentially another marriage of convenience book but I enjoyed their interaction as characters in the book

Rubbish

It is very amateurish. I don't like leaving books in the middle- sole reason why I was able to finish reading. The other works of this author are far better.

BLAKE and KARI

Business, espionage, corporate ruthlessness and a sexy, contractual partnership with blurry lines and feelings morphing into so much more than just another workplace romance.

Kari is a badass, motorcycle riding workaholic who enjoys the challenge of running a business, but as a typical Indian family mentality goes, her father refuses to acknowledge her inputs and does not want to hand over the business to her, and sells it to another, with the clause that she receives her payout only when she gets married.

(Because obviously a woman’s life has no meaning until she is ‘settled’ (*HMPF! annoyed*))

Kari on the other hand has developed cutting edge tech software, that will revolutionize the business, but needs funding, so she decides to get married (in name only) to Blake, the man who is buying the business, so that she can get access to the money and he can get a share of the software.

Kari as a businesswoman is very impressive. She does not back down even when Blake is angry or annoyed or even threatens her. She is passionate with her work, something that Blake admits is growing on him. Not to mention the crazy attraction that they feel towards one and other.

Their discussion is quick, to the point with undercutting tones of arrogance, hostility and annoyance... and a great deal of stubbornness all around, and it’s amazing!

Blake loves her no nonsense attitude, straight to the point, and brutal in her honesty. He is even impressed with her negotiation tactics which is saying something since he himself is a shark in the business world.
Blake is no fool. He will get the maximum from this relationship, and that includes Kari with benefits, but soon the lines start getting erased.

They go from pretending to be a couple, going on dates to being roommates and friends, to giving into the attraction that had been present even before they knew who the other was, to falling irrevocably in love (with a lot of in denial)

“She taught him how to forgive and be grateful for the things people do for you even if they hurt initially. She taught him how to fight for love and showed him the true meaning of love.”

Add to this environment, some sweet moments, some nostalgia, some family and friends’ drama and insane sexual tension and chemistry, a little bit of jealousy and you have an intriguing office romance read!

“You’re mine!” he declared. “For however long we are in the contract, you’re mine, and I will tell all those assholes that look at you like you are available, they need to know you’re mine.”

The book is filled with blatant flirting, some vulnerable moments, even sacrifice and healing from the past. The intimate scenes are super steamy and fit right into the fabric of the story.

“I needed to get you to unleash and let out your anger so you can mourn your loss, however much you deny it—you need to mourn so the sadness doesn’t settle into your heart.”

PS : The one thing I didn’t like was the confusion of feelings and the weird push and pull, which went on for too long. It didn’t align well into the story. But other than that, I enjoyed the book.
