Logan Keys says she’s not so much a writer as she is a soothsayer and preparer for those who are still blissfully unaware. Her stories aren’t dystopian but rather a warning for the next generation. When she’s not writing zombies, vampires, superheroes, and robots, she’s fighting against government over-reach and oligarchy using military tactics mixed with a little bit of poetry.

Logan’s currently on her little farm in Kentucky typing away on many projects at once.

Third book, people!

And werewolf! lol Yeah, yeah, we have tons of zombies and now a vampire army. But who are the good guys, here? Machines are turning people into body-modded murder machines and/or vampires and the bad guys are on both sides of that normal fence.

This world is in total chaos and the idea of what's normal has been tossed on the garbage heap of history. What I love most about this are the powers. You know what happened to Tommy in the last book.

Well, his powers weren't the only ones being developed. More of these peeps are getting beast and it's really starting to get wild. Dreams! Dreamwalking! Too cool, right?

We've gone from a very bloody apocalyptic YA with beastly kids all the way to REALLY beastly kids learning a ton of nasty details about their condition and the condition of the condition. :) There's a bit of hopping from one medical "problem" to another, but it's the nature of the reveals that makes this book a page-turner. Not to mention the blood. Can't forget the blood. It's the fate of "humanity" that's at stake here.

I think I love the dark turns best. Oh, it's getting dark. And there's a rather interesting surprise at the end. :)

Bon appetite!

I could not wait to get my hands on the next book in this series. To get back to this world of zombies, vampires, specials, and a government from hell was so exciting. There were so many surprises and explanations throughout the book. I loved reconnecting with these strong, powerful girls/ women who were in very different places than each other. Although Dallas was with Joelle, her mind was not in the same place. She was finding love and romance and seeing the cost of having that. She was realizing she had boundaries that others didn't care if they crossed.
Joelle kind of stepped up and then stepped over anyone who dared to cross her and I loved seeing her embrace the dark and take her place as leader.
Liza, even in the state she was in, was still strong, but barely holding on.
I feel they all went on a journey of realizing who they really were and what they're capable of in this book. I feel it's all preparing them for what will come when they get to Anthem. I can't wait for the next book.

A great continuation of the Last City series! What I love about this series is that you never know where it's going next! It's emotional and edgy from the first page. You'll fall seamlessly into the narrative from the first chapter, told in Liza's voice. The POV's switch around to some equally amazing, badass characters. If you're looking for strong female leads - you've found them! I loved seeing how their stories played off each other and kind of come together in the end for a surprising conclusion.

There is so much happening that I think I am missing things.

Liza woke up the with the sword in her side. How? Did I miss something?

How did Simon get out of the machine?

I thought this was the last book and was getting anxious the closer I came to completion. Lol. I kept thinking, how the heck is this going to wrap up with only 10 pages left to go??

Ummmm...is there another book?
