Knox Riley is at the top of his game when it comes to the world of professional choreography. In fact, there’s only one other person in the field who even comes close to matching his stature.
Amerie Lambert.
Knox’s eye has been on Amerie since the day she first auditioned for one of his tours. And while the arrangement that developed between them soon after might’ve ended in disaster, Knox feels he’s being given a chance to redeem himself – and his personal life, in general - when he and Amerie are casted for the reality show, Choreographer Lane.
Too bad Amerie doesn’t see it the same way.
After avoiding Knox Riley for years, she’s completely apprehensive to anything that involves even being in the same room as him. But when he shows up to her office with an offer she can’t refuse, she quickly finds herself in a predicament that involves old desires being exposed, unresolved feelings resurfacing, and new boundaries being tested.
Once the line is crossed, there’s no turning back. But just because an encore is called for doesn’t guarantee it will be pretty…
(Note: This book is a spinoff of, A Rehearsal for Love. While it can be read as a standalone, it does contain major spoilers for that title.)

Amerie and Knox are two star choreographers who have a shot at pushing their celebrity further by doing a reality show together. But as past lovers, their history makes things extra hard. Knox wants Amerie back, and has to figure out how to lower the defenses of the woman who doesn't believe she can ever trust him again.
I have to say this was a great follow-up to A Rehearsal For Love, and I like the lead in to this story. It was nice to see Knox and Amerie create an extended family environment and share godparent duties. The push and pull between these two was nice. You can read their chemistry so clear--it leaps off the page, and I loved it. I loved getting the glimpse into their worlds and also the way they relate to each other, and communicate with their bodies through dance. Knox owning his past and admitting to his skewed perspectives on love gave him some depth, but Amerie's somewhat outdated attitude on his healing method was slightly off putting. The two of them were passionate though, and very spirited. I loved that Amerie didn't back down from her needs, and never downplayed her success. Knox's brother and Amerie's sister lent some good comic relief to the story, and I liked the moments of vulnerability.
The only major thing that bothered me was that Knox took entirely too long to simply say, "I'm sorry." He didn't know exactly how to win Amerie back, but he knew at the very least he owed her an apology, and he took his time giving her that.
I didn’t enjoy this spinoff as much as the first book. Amerie and Knox story was a lot of back and forth and the author was very repetitive about Amerie problem with him. It was like every chapter it was mentioning Amerie bringing up their old problems. Although the book gave us their history and their background individually this book was my least favorite by this author
The storyline was a great read for me because it hit on major topics that a lot of relationships struggle with. How to love, how to be loved, trust, respect and friendship. Life and Love is what you make it, even if it's bumps along the way. In the book I'm glad positive people were around, especially doing a reality show because of the negativity surrounding them. Amerie and Knox are strong people because they were willing to work at their relationship together. That's definitely an Encore for Love. Great Read.🙏
I enjoyed reading about Knox and Amerie rekindled love story. I'm glad that Knox was dealing with past issues that derailed their relationship so he would be able to be open to love without any fears. Knox and Amerie's chemistry was like a blazing inferno. I had high hopes for Miranda and Elijah😔😔 Glad that everything is still good withBlaise and Malia especially after dealing with her loss.
This was a predictable, second chance trope. Their chemistry was obvious from the onset. It was only a matter of time before they made up. Neither of the lead characters was particularly memorable or likable. They were just okay along with the entire storyline. The setup from the previous book had me expecting more fireworks. Both books were quick, easy reads. Warren just has much better work than what was put forth in this series.
I one-clicked and started this book the same day when I realized i was Knox and Amerie's story. I was not disappointed. I enjoyed their journey: the dancing, fighting, and finally making up. It was nice catching up with Blaise and Miranda, as well as being introduced to Miranda and Elijah.
I really fell for Knox. He made me mad at times but he is a great guy. Amerie gave him a hard time as she should have. I would love to know more about Blaise and Malia. Even Mirana and Elijah if they ended up as a couple of course. I loved the ending!!
Sorry I love Alexandra warren but I could not get past how whiny the main character was. Amerie was weak and I just couldn’t get behind it, it seems like it took no time at all for her to forgive this man for breaking her heart. I just like my main characters that have more of a spine. Personally it was not my cup of tea.
I enjoyed the read but Lawd it dragged and dragged i didn’t know if I wanted to finish because their was no sparks beneath all that anger and aggravation but in the end I truly though they were good together. Amerie cold heart melted towards Knox and the fire kind of blazed from there. Overall good read and I can’t wait to read more
Knox and Amerie have history. She really loved Knox and could not forgive him for what he did. Knox finally grew up and showed Amerie that he really does love her. Glad they were able to work out their problems to be together.
Can I just say Knox is bae? Although he has his issues, you could tell the love and admiration he had for Amerie. I totally understand why she played him to the left. But so glad they were able to get it together. Great job! 👍
Okay I'm trying to be nice about this review. The lead character annoyed me so much with her grand act of hate towards Knox to fold the first chance she saw him. This book did nothing for me. Im mad I can't get my reading time back. I did enjoy the dance scenes.
Excellent read, I enjoyed the characters and storyline. Knox and Amerie are a good couple. Their siblings had great personalities as well. I recommend this book.
I was so happy to see them get there ish together! I was like let us pray! I was worried there! I couldn’t get enough of there chemistry! It was off the charts!
Good read. Amerie and Knox clearly had it bad for one another, but working through trauma sometimes makes relationships difficult. I appreciated Knox willingness to put in the work.
I really enjoyed this book. I loved that the story involved dancers because that is rare for me to read and I really love dance. At one time I just knew that was going to be my profession even though I don't have any professional training and can't dance THAT good. Initially, I could not stand Knox. He was a little too arrogant for me until he realized her really hurt Amerie and became a little more humble. I really liked Amerie. She had her heart broken and I can understand that she was guarded. I loved the growth of both characters in the book. Knox still has a little way to go and I like that he acknowledged that. I really liked the aspect of mental health in the story and how it can be perceived by others at times. I think that was a really good thing to add to the book. I think the sexy times could have been a little more steamier though. The story kind of fell flat for me with the steamy stuff because the dancing really amped up the sexual tension and I felt the sexual connection between Knox and Amerie could have been a little better. Overall I liked this book and would definitely recommend it. Look forward to reading more from this author. 3.5 stars
If I didn't know any better I would say this book was written by Alexandra Warren... You know, the author with the magical mind.... Wow!! she has developed, her writing has matured and progressed elusively and magnificently. Dancing and snapping my fingers was the nice vibe I felt from reading this story about two dancers\ choreographers, and a reality show without all the foolishness.... Amerie and Knox once had a steamy relationship while they were on tour for a few months when they first met. The relationship ended when Knox panicked over loving Amerie. Fast forward a few years and she agreed to do the reality show with Knox. After a lot of teasing, inner turmoil, and spending time together, Knox was able to slip under Ameries blockade to her heart. Eventually they bumped and grinded...... and then finally screwed their way back into one another's hearts.. Pun intended. I liked the other characters with Blaise , Miranda and Knox's younger brother Eijah. Miranda especially was a riot. Hey Ms Warren , what about Elijah and Miranda for the next story. This was another great read...
I was waiting for Knox and Amerie story and it did not disappoint. Loved the story for these two. Was glad Knox stepped up to the plate especially with everything he'd been through. As for Amerie we had a love hate relationship. I wish she would have been a lot more open with her feelings instead of keeping them bottled up. Overall amazing read.
