The happy ending between wolf-boy and human. *my feelings* But the saddest chapter was the one telling Miyama's story...*my feelings* And since this is the last book- I have many things to think of... It was a truly emotional story that so reminded of my own life. Well, books always have happy endings, reality doesn't. *curls in a ball*

"Because I'll remember everything in your place"
"I should have never been born."
"But knowing that... I will never be able to feel the warmth of her hands again...is a very empty feeling..."

Ok, I'm all about fast reads BUT THIS IS TOO MUCH. Why did I finish the whole 4 volumes in an hour? I want more. More Fushimi. Gimme more Fushi.

Plot wise, I feel like the mangaka took a short way out of the story. Maybe it didn't get the response they expected from the public, but I felt like this could've have more than just 16 or 18 chapters.
However, the story is cute, fluffy, and the drawings are amazing. If you're looking for your next shoujo, try this babe out! :)

Spoilers for the whole series, but also this was so basic and obvious I can't really call them spoilers.

This series had a lot of potential to be a feel-good romance/healing story. It failed on all accounts. The characters NEVER grew beyond the initial person we met in the first volume. There was no growth, development, nor complexity. The "complexity" we were given was more in the vein of knowledge that had been pointlessly hidden throughout the entire story.

Worldbuilding was horrible. We never fully learn about anything. Why there are spirits, who they are, what they do. It felt like a book that was trying to talk about animal and environmental rights without ever going into it enough to draw you into the characters' problems. The fact that the Sensei works for the government to fight for environmental rights did nothing for the story other than it was mentioned a few times.

And the whole "reason" why multiple characters hated humans? What the crap? So one person hates humans because he didn't think long enough about the whole situation to actually understand what happened wasn't bad. The other one did just because his friends told him to? And the whole conflict of the story gets resolved in one sentence by the human who had enough sense to say "Gee, y'all are stupid and have looked at this wrong" for, what, ten years?

And let's not even get started on the romance. Look, it sounds cute and looks cute to claim that another person "saved" or "fixed" you. It's not. That's the start of an unhealthy relationship with codependency and clingyness to the point where the other person in the relationship leaves/needs space. There's nothing romantic about placing all of your hopes, dreams, and entire life into another person who is, guess what, a flawed human being who will make mistakes.

The romance felt so forced and awkward because of how back and forth it went on top that the characters had zero chemistry. This would have been an amazing friendship story, and probably more powerful too than to make it about romantic love.

So, yeah, just don't read it. Go read Fruits Basket instead.

I don't know what I'm feeling! *wails*

Okay, so let me start with this: I LOVE this series! It's very beautiful and a touching love story of healing and friendship. I deeply enjoyed it!

But GAH! The bonus chapter with Senri was SO heartbreaking! I tried to brace myself because I had read spoilers beforehand that it was sad and made readers want more, and YES! Yes, I need more on this sweet bean. His story is so moving and he needs a bear hug!

The romance itself was beautifully well done! I greatly loved it and I think beside that hard bonus story, it was a very solid ending, especially with the epilogue. I really really enjoyed it and definitely wanting to read more manga by this creator! She has a fantastic way of having you super invested in the story and loving all the characters. Rin is a solid example because I didn't like him in the beginning, but I did by the end.

Overall, a very solid conclusion and manga! I'm grateful I read it and look forward to reading it again, but I'm going to skip the bonus chapter next time because I don't want to feel this inkling of sadness in light of an ending I had been hoping for!

I really thought this was going to be weird, but because I've read the author's other series, I wanted to try it out. It wasn't as strange as I was expecting! A little of a rushed ending, but overall cute.

Content for the series:
Language such as 'd*mn'/'d*mnit' and 'h*ll' a handful of times total. (I didn't really note content as I was reading, so this is just from memory.

This volume was sweet. It was nice to get to know Senri better! Rin was maybe my favorite character so it would of have been better to know him better, but maybe it was better this way!

I had wonderful trip with this series! I loved this drawing style the whole series. I have to get this whole series to my shelf!

I know I should have focused on the mcs but my heart goes out for Miyama(mmc's friend), that boy deserves the world.
The whole amnesia, childhood friends and soulmate drama happened and we finally have the mcs together.

More of a 3.5 star rating;
I wish we learned a bit more background on a few of the characters, but overall this was a very quick and cute series to read.

This was a very average and rather dull series where the female lead fell in love and confessed in the first volume, urgh! The character development and worldbuilding is non-existent. Oh, and of course there had to be a third wheel in it too as you can't have an insta-love without a pointless rival.

I realised that this is basically the same story Nogiri has written before called Love in Focus except that the plot is centred around the guys randomly turning into animals (never explained) instead of photography. I really dislike these shallow, pointless shoujo series not because they are really bad but because they are so unoriginal and dull. I really should stop reading them but I keep picking them up hoping that this time will be different only for it to end in disappointment and boredom.

Oh my gosh, Senri's bonus chapter. I BAWLED.

This ends quickly and in an unsatisfying way, but it was an enjoyable little 4 book series. A little predictable, but a nice way to spend my time.

Recap: She wakes with her memories of the guys sealed, Ogami doesn't stay away, stalks (lol) her in human form and then switches to wolf form bc the guys make fun of him. She has deja vu and then remembers again. Sensei spills about the past and her memories, we get details of Ogami's mom leaving him. Happy ever after.

Overall a cute series, more on the sad side of what I was expecting. The bittersweet side story with Senri was actually my favorite (though it wouldn't have been nearly as meaningful without the main story). Nice fast read.

I really wish Nogiri-sensei had done a spin off. OMG....
Like.. I liked it well enough but I'm also so unsatisfied! It's unfair and... there are 3 more guys!!!!!!! lol... clearly they can love!! LET THEM FIND THEIR LOVES!! lol... so... happy but.. also, bittersweet for the rest of them.

This manga was a bit of a mess. One of those cases that it should have been longer to avoid the exposition and show things instead. But it was still a pretty entertaining story.

The ending was bitter sweet to me. It was sweet because this story ends on a happy note. But it’s bitter because I felt like there was still more to tell and I felt like the mangaka took the easy way out of the situation they created. I’m also disappointed, with how the last volume ended I thought that there would be a lot more gut-wrenching drama that would make me squirm in my seat. Instead, it felt like it flat lined between the end of volume 3 to the first page of volume 4. Everything was too convenient in a way that made it seem unrealistic. I know, that’s kinda stupid sounding for someone to say about a story of supernatural qualities, but everything else about the story should be as realistic as possible so that the reader doesn’t get pulled out of the story for a minor/major discrepancy in the reality you’ve created. At least for me, when a story already has weird elements if reality, for instance the laws of nature, doesn’t function properly it pulls me out of the story and from my experience is mostly due to author laziness more than anything. That’s it, the ending to this story felt lazy and too rushed which also made it feel inorganic, like the mangaka meant to do more but couldn’t.

I think my favorite part of this volume is the bonus story at the end. It’s a cute, but sad story from Senri’s past that really explains his character. After reading it, I feel like his character has more depth than any of the other’s in this story, which is a shame because he didn’t get much attention in the main story!

Senri's story at the end was bout the only thing that redeemed this volume for me and is the reason it got three stars instead of two.

Summary: The main character is a girl named Oogami. She moves to Hokaiddo from Tokyo because her mom is moving somewhere for work for a year. Oogami is sent to live with her father whom she didn't see for 8 years because of divorce. In her new school she meets a group of 4 popular boys. She soon befriends one of them named Yuu, who is later revealed to be a half-wolf. His friends are also animals like raccoon, fox, and cat with two tails. So that us the story.

Review: I read the whole series in one sitting. It just popped up in my phone after I finished reading another manga on my Mangarock app. I thought that it was fun to read and I enjoyed it. It wasn't the best thing or the worst. I just wished it had more to give. The series was just too short.
Drawing: I loved the drawing style. 5 stars.
Plot: 4 stars
Characters: 3.5 stars (more improvement could be done)

What a lame explanation. And it's like she only lost her memory for a week and regained it back with no effort whatsoever.

This was a nice little series; part fluffy, part melancholy. There are no big dramatic outbursts, the drama is much more subdued. And while that sort of thing can be entertaining, I liked the mellower tone in this. It's also complimented by the light line of Nogiri's art, there's airy look to it.

So, the final volume has Komugi back in where she started, kind of. She doesn't remember her time with Oogami and the other boys but something keeps bothering her, she feels everything isn't quite right. And Oogami can't just forget Komugi of course, not when he finally allowed himself to feel. Nobody is truly happy although Yata-sensei thinks this will be best for everybody. The situation gets solved in a single moment really but I didn't mind, every reader knows what is gonna happen, it's just the matter of time. The ending was super fluffy and cute.

Besides being a love story, there was a bit about learning to accept yourself as you are (Oogami) and being a bit braver than before (Komugi). Mostly it's just a story how two people find and positively affirm each other though, and it's okay to focus on that.

I gave this volume four stars and I liked the series quite a lot but there were some things that I wish got explored more. Most importantly, the whole deal with Rin. Who does he actually like? And in what way? In one scene it looks like he wants Oogami and the next it looks like it's Komugi he wants?? Maybe they should've just formed a threesome, lol.

Senri got his own extra chapter though, that was really nice. I would've gladly read a bit more about the characters, all of them.

Romantic story that doesn't overstay its welcome but also doesn't dive deep into all of its elements.
