I used to love shifter books but I'm not sure if it's because I've read so many and they've become so similar (I know there's only so much you can do with a shifter) I've become jaded. Every so often I'll see one I like the blurb for and give it a try which is what happened here and in this case I'm glad I did since it's a long while since I've enjoyed a shifter book as much as this one. Jessa is coping but only just, she's more like a mother than a sister to her siblings and it's a struggle so when the head of the company where she works calls her into his office she fears the worst because she can't afford to lose her job. She didn't need to worry Finnegan Dean has a new job for her but the question is can she hold her attraction for him at bay long enough to complete the six weeks. Finnegan considers himself cursed and agreed to never have children hoping the curse would die with him and his pack but somehow he now finds himself father to a new born son and he's no idea what to do and so he hires the perfect candidate Jessa. The problem is his wolf likes her a little too much and it's going to be nearly impossible to keep his distance but he must. While he may have no idea how to look after baby Oscar he does know he's in danger and must protect him at all costs. Okay, so we know where this book is heading but I liked the characters and the twist on how Finn became a wolf and the ramifications it holds for future books. It's a long time since I read a shifter book that interested me enough to make me want to continue on with the series and there's certainly enough here for that. Now the rating. I'm purposely not generous with my ratings leaving 5* for those rare books that come along (if you're lucky) several times a year which then leaves 4* for really good reads the ones I re-read and keep, now while I enjoyed this and I'll be keeping an eye out for the next book I'm not sure it qualifies but it's very very close.

Blurb: When Jessa Talbot’s boss offered her a promotion, she agreed—no questions asked. Her family needed the money, but fighting the attraction she feels for her brooding employer is tough. Worse, she instantly bonds with his infant son she’s caring for. But this is a temporary solution and she can’t get attached to either of them.

I enjoyed the premise of this story. For some reason, Finn's constant struggle with his wolf really humanized him. Not to mention the feelings and vulnerabilities unleashed by the presence of Jessa and baby Oscar.
Oscar's presence raised the stakes in a war between Finn's pack and the Others and he refused to allow his son or his mate to be casualties. I found the whole idea of how Finn became a wolf intriguing. It was a cool blend of urban myth, culture, and artistic license. I found the writing that let up to and flowed from this incident to be quite colorful and entertaining.
My only real issue with this story was its conclusion. It felt unfinished and I haven't located any leads as to a follow-up story. If there is, I'd be interested in finding out what happens next.

Falling For the Billionaire Werewolf and His Baby by Sasha Summers
1st book in the Blood Moon Brotherhood series. Werewolf shifters romance. A new twist on the werewolf origin.
Great characters plus an easy, pleasing read. Loved baby Oscar with his intuitive reaction to danger. The connection between Oscar and Jessa is loving while the connection between Jessa and Finn is lustful and ultimately hot and sexy. The group, or pack dynamics tell us who will be key in future books of this series. I’m looking forward to reading more of this author. Cliffhanger in the series overall arc. This couple and their relationship is complete.
Fairly decent cover on this one. Good representation of the hero. Good composition. Title work is a bit boring, but overall it's an OK cover.
Finished this one last night and I have no time for a fancy schmancy review at the moment suffice it to say that I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. The writing was great. The pace was excellent. The plot was original (at least I never read about humans being turned to werewolves in such a manner). No OW/OM drama. It was relatively slow burn, but we get some hot sex scenes later in the book. There was a great cast of interesting secondary characters, and both main characters were extremely likable. Lastly, it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, but book two was just released so...YAY!
Loved the title of this one and the cover was a perfect fit for the blurb but I felt like I read two different stories.
The first half is basically Finn, this cold and distant billionaire boss with a dark secret (he's a werewolf! Shhh!) Against his will, Finn turns furry every full moon. The opening scene has him finding out he is the father of an infant boy. The mother, Cara was a week long fling that somehow resulted in a surprise baby. At this point in the story, Finn just wants someone discreet to care for the baby until he can arrange a more permanent arrangement.
Enter Jessa. She's raised her younger siblings since they were in diapers and has held a job in Finn's company with great success. She's competent, loyal and doesn't ask unnecessary questions. Basically the perfect candidate for the position of temporary nanny.
The emotional connection is missing. There was an instant ripple of awareness between them but neither pursued it. It was a slow start to their relationship. The bonding between baby Oscar and Jessa was cute but between Jess and Finn? Not much happened.
Things start to really pick up during the second half on the story. The reveal of the Others, the transformation on the full moon, the kidnapping and getting to know Finn and his reluctant pack mates added some drama to the story that was missing in the beginning. Where as at first things were kind of at a stand still, now the story burst with menacing rivals, sinister plots and exciting new information. I couldnt put it down! Not to mention we finally get to see Jessa and Finn give in to their attraction!
I'm not a fan of a cliffhanger ending so I knocked a star for leaving me hanging regarding the pregnancy but I'll be waiting anxiously for the next book to find out Jessa's fate.
*** ARC provided for an honest review***
Safety: Yes, with exceptions. Ages: Jessa is 28 and Finn is in his mid to late 30's Cheating: No Separation: No OM/OW drama: Not really but being the picky reader I am, it was a bit annoying to read about the wild week of "great sex" Finn enjoyed with Cara, the dead baby mama of baby Oscar. Its never detailed but still chafed me to read it. HEA/HFN: HFN, the plot is on going.
Finnegan Dean needs help and soon! He’s an accidentally made werewolf alpha, who is the target for a pack of hereditary werewolves, and he’s just discovered that not only is his ex-lover dead but that she died giving birth to his son. Add in the fact that he and his friends had previously agreed never to have children and that he has no idea how to raise and protect his son . . . . He really does need help now! As the CEO of a large company, he has existing employees to select from. They need to be able to keep his son’s existence a secret as well as be prepared to look after him 24/7 until he can make alternative arrangements . . .
Scouring his employees, he spots Jessa Talbot, a big sister who has raised her younger siblings on her own. She’s ideal! The problem is, his wolf also thinks she’s ideal and she also really cares for Oscar, his newborn son . . . and she’s also attracted to Finnegan! Life’s going to get interesting as they strive to protect young Oscar and their own hearts. As enemies threaten, life will never be the same for any of them!
This is a lovely read because the two main characters are so well matched! Finn is very much a control freak but Oscar’s arrival has turned his world upside down and he really needs Jessa to help sort things out. Their attraction is great but so is their reticence to act upon it, though for very different reasons. When they do succumb, the dangers just seem to grow, placing their very lives in danger. It is only with friendship and love that they can escape - for the time being! This is a great start to a new series and I really look forward to reading other books involving Finn and his friends in future.
I requested and received a copy of this book via NetGalley without any obligation. This is my honest opinion after reading it.
The headline? Puh-lease! It’s me – I (just) had to go there *snorts*
*sigh*
What is it about shifter books? There is just something about them, isn’t there? When they’re done right it’s a full-on body shiver. And, oh freaking my, was this one done right. In fact, I have to confess that this is my second time reading Finn and Jessa’s story.
It’s so hard to come up with a new spin on the werewolf lore, but the author has done just that. I completely geeked out and my PNR loving heart was all of a flutter.
A much-needed promotion is about to turn Jessa Talbot’s life upside down. *whispers from side of mouth* In more ways than one *coughs* Losing her heart to a motherless baby is bad enough, but her attraction to his gorgeous father is a complication she can ill afford.
His son’s unexpected arrival heralds a new era for billionaire, Finnegan Dean. Oh, and he just happens to be a werewolf. Something which he has never really come to terms with. Guilt is an emotion Finn is very familiar with.
On two things Finn and his wolf are in complete agreement: protect his son at all costs, and Jessa is theirs.
Dontcha just love fated mates *sighs*
“He made her heart happy.”
*coughs*
Oh boy, Finn made more than Jessa’s heart happy - there I’ve said it!
One word: combustible.
This was a heart-stopping suspense-filled ride from start to finish. I felt every intense, explosive and passionate moment.
It’s hard for the first couple in a new series because you need to introduce the other characters whilst setting up the next book yet keep the focus on them. Well, Sasha accomplished that and more. I have so many questions and I’m already trying to connect the dots to work out who’s going to end with whom in the series.
Back to my original question about what makes shifter books compulsive reading. It’s the scent thing, isn’t it? Nothing gets by them – fear, *coughs* arousal *winks*
*sigh*
So, yeah, I think this is a series I’m really going to enjoy sinking my teeth into *smirks*
I'm pretty sure this will be a series and I am super excited for more. It was way darker and more intense than I thought it would be. There was a lot of suspense and danger and I totally enjoyed every minute. I love the characters, the plot is fascinating and I will definitely be waiting for the next one.

I loved this book. I had gotten away from the paranormal for a while but have come back lately and this is a sweet story.
Take a control freak Billionaire and give him a surprise baby, that he didn't know about or want because of a promise, and stir in a woman who had to raise he four siblings, some serious action and you get one of the better alpha male shifter books that i have read.
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
A paranormal story with Finn, a sexy billionaire with a secret , an unexpected baby and Jessa, a smart, capable woman...this book was a great combination of romance and suspense with a good helping of hot, badass wolves and hidden lethal adversaries.....
The relationship between Jessa and Finn was genuine and felt authentic..I am a sucker for a Wolf who wants to be allowed out to protect his soulmate and Finn and his inner animal were in a constant battle ... Finn actually came across as very self sacrificing determined not to allow the internal and external forces threatening him and his pack to harm his child and the woman he is drawn to....I really loved the wolf pack their unbreakable brotherhood and loyalty, united in the belief they are cursed....I can see how easy it would be to fall in love with each and every one over the course of the series.....
I liked the premise of the reluctant wolf and the resultant external and internal struggles.....I loved the personalities and the writing was really good ...the plot was interesting and it held my attention although it is fair to say the action didn't really ratchet up until the second half of the book.....I would like to have had more information about the wolves legend and lore to better understand the alternate reality...hopefully this will be addressed in future instalments...
In summary this was a book well worth reading.... sweet, romantic, gripping and thoroughly entertaining and I would certainly be eager to read any future books that arise from this satisfactory starting place......beware there is a cliffhanger but not a majorly big one..This book was reviewed for Summer's Eve Reads
Billionaire business man and werewolf Finnegan Dean has just discovered he is a father to a new born son whose mother has died. He can't see how he can possibly keep the poor baby safe. His enemies are everywhere. He needs someone to care for the little one that he can really trust. Jessa Talbot is not expecting such a big change in her job description. She needs the extra money to care for her siblings. This is an action packed paranormal romance, with one or two rule changes for the wolves in this author's world. There is terrible danger round every corner and beautiful baby to tug on our heartstrings. We meet several other characters that I hope will get their own story. I desperately need to read the next book in this series. I loved it.
Author was all over the place. The storyline and concept has promise, but I couldn't keep track of half of what was going on. Something happens to someone else in the story and then another person seems to know that it happened, but there's no explanation as to how they know. Since it was different POV, it also jumped or doubled back in timelines. Again, all over the place. I gave it two stars because it at least had an interesting concept. I won't be going any further with the series though.
The story is so much more intense the title might lead you to believe. I fell into this world and loved it. The characters are real and the plot moves fast. I enjoyed the mix of the billionaire hero with a shapeshifter AND he is fighting to protect his family. Loved it on so many levels. There had better be a next one. I'm ordering it as soon as it comes up for pre-order. I just know this story has more to give me.
This is the first book in a series. I loved the world building and the writing style of this author. It was an interesting take on how people became shifters. The main female character has a LOT to deal with . In crisis, she was a act now and freak out later type of person. They made a good pair. And when they mated....I guess I like it when a character suffers because you then get to see who they really are. I absolutely loved this book.
Oh this was just a super sweet story. Totally romantic and captivating. Falling for the Billionaire Wolf and His Baby by Sasha Summers was one of my favorite books of the season and the first book I've read by this author. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for a honest review.
It's been a long time since I've read a shifter book, but I've been in the mood for something different. I'm glad I picked this up! There was a ton of action, the romance between Jessa and Finn was great, and baby Oscar stole my heart along with Jessa's. I liked all the characters and I can't wait to see where this goes.
(I was sent an ARC in exchange for an honest review)
I was SHOCKED by how much I LOVED this book! Werewolves, billionaires, mates, and babies - it had just about everything a girl could want in a book. As a fan of insta-love, I really liked the immediate attraction between Finn and Jesse was palpable and understandable. I also like how we sort of jumped in to the story right away and details on the backstory were neatly interspersed throughout - it made the pace of the book fast and fun. There was the perfect amount of suspense, action, romance, and sex. I can't wait to read the rest of the series and learn more about Finn's pack. This may or may not have jumpstarted an obsession with shifter romances for me. I gave it 4 out of 5 wine glasses.
Falling for the Billionaire Wolf and His Baby Blood Moon Brotherhood by Sasha Summers ⭐️⭐️ Fun, Lovely Escapism, Captivating, Humor and Steamy Hot, these words are how I describe this story. Falling for the Billionaire Wolf and His Baby by Sasha Summers is a awesome paranormal romance story. This is the first time I read a book by Sasha Summers and it's a great read that I honestly enjoyed. The characters in this story are believable, exciting and well written. It features Jessa Talbot and Finnegan Dean. Finnegan is a wolf shifter who thinks he is curse, but he he had a son by a wolf who wasn't his mate. Sasha is Finnegan mate but she doesn't know it, this is a captivating and book
Falling for the Billionaire Wolf and His Baby by Sasha Summers is a gripping and intense paranormal romance that is a fast-paced reading delight. This is my first time reading Ms. Summers work and I wasn’t disappointed. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am definitely looking forward to what’s coming next in this series.
Please note that an ARC was generously provided in exchange for an honest review of which this is both honest and completely voluntary.
from net galley Finn is a billionaire and has a secret he's a wolf. And by surprise a new Dad to a pup born from a one night stand Jessica works for him and is the supporter of her family. She takes the job of taking care of the new baby but life is about to change. An enjoyable shifter stories with some new twist. The ending is kind of a cliff hanger so iam waiting for next book. Diffently worth reading.
I actually really loved the pace of the book. It was fast but not too fast. Perfectly revealing the storyline and leaving you wanting more by the end. Finn is an Alpha but he still leans on his pack to help clear some of his bullheadedness and I feel like that makes him an even better leader. It seems like Cyrus has his pack brainwashed. I’m excited to read what’s next.
This was surprisingly a good story. I found Finn's alphaness kind of cute and sweet, despite his unwillingness to be a werewolf. The story begins with Finn finding out he was a father and needing to find someone to take care of him. That someone is Jessa who is strong, resourceful and loves baby Oscar. Of course she is also Finn's mate. The story moves along quickly and while this is a hea, it's clear there is another story for Finn's friend Malachi.
A fun, interesting twist on PNR and shifters! I loved the relationship that developed so quickly between Jessa and Finn--it was "insta" but not because Finn denied, denied, denied. I also loved the interaction between Finn and the rest of the "pack". I'm definitely interested in more in this series since Ms. Summers left us with a bit of a cliffy!
It was so jarring when huge parts of the plot were missing. Huge sudden jumps in time. The big questions that actually kept me reading were not answered at all. The main relationship felt like it was lacking something. The sex scenes were repetitive and poor. The characters talking about this deep connection that I just didn't feel.
I love me some werewolf romance and with a title like this, I just couldn’t pass the opportunity of trying out Falling for the Billionaire Wolf and His Baby. I mean we’re talking about a billionaire werewolf who suddenly finds himself a single father who turns to his employee to help him care for the baby. I felt I hit the jackpot with this one.
I’m not going to lie, I was prepared for the book to be totally absurd. I was pleasantly proved wrong, though and I enjoyed it very much. I really liked the spin Ms. Summer put on the whole shifter thing, making this a bit different from all the other shifter books out there.
Finn, the typical alpha, bossy and aloof workaholic, had quite the surprise when he changed into a wolf and turned his best friends into werewolves too after an accident. Now trying to deal with the fallout, they need to figure out what being shifters entails as well as staying out of the way of the other werewolf pack that seems determined on wiping them out.
When Finn learns of the existence of a baby, he turns to Jessa, a model employee to help him set up his house for the baby and find someone who’ll help him in the long term. He didn’t count on Jessa bonding with baby Oscar as deeply as she did nor that he and his wolf would find her irresistible.
Jessa was the shit. She was selfless, loving and a devoted caregiver, having raised her four younger siblings when their parents passed. When she is swept into the crazy werewolf world, she dealt with it like a champ and always kept a cool head, even when the situations became more and more dangerous.
Finn was a bit of a jerk at first. Having been fighting the wolf for the past decade as well as being raised by nannies hired by emotionally stunted parents, he was not in touch with his feelings. Jessa and baby Oscar change all this, slowly burrowing into his heart and awakening protective instincts he never knew he could have.
With lots of suspense and action, this sexy romance had a great pace. I can’t say I totally connected with either Jessa or Finn but I did find them cute together and I loved baby Oscar. I wished there had been more of a closure to their romance and Jessa’s current situation, but I understand that part of the story will continue in future books. I’m very intrigued as to where the storyline will go and can’t wait to get to read about the rest of the pack.
*I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book*
In the mood for a romance? In the mood for a shifter story? This book has it all covered.
Finn entered the world unwillingly and has had to take on many responsibilities in the paranormal side of his life. One more has just been thrown in, a little baby named Oscar. Of course, the billionaire business owner side of Finn requires some help to deal with this new adventure…. Enter Jessa with her special set of skills to take on the business workings while simultaneously caring for little Oscar. Little did Finn know how much Jessa would bring to his life.
While the romance builds and buds, there is a paranormal romance taking place that gives those of us who crave some adventure in our romance just that. There is a rival group threatening so much and Finn must band together with his shifter brothers to address the issues and keep his loved ones safe. Things get intense and they are obviously not over when the book ends.
One of my praises for Sasha Summers is that she writes children so well, and that extends to infants apparently. Oscar tends to steal the show when he is on the page and I spent much of the book waiting for the little one to re-enter the frame. I hope we get to see little Oscar in other books in the series!
2.5 stars. Promising and sweet but ultimately choppily executed and meh. A book that was short but somehow felt too long and yet ALSO felt like it had several missing parts. Seriously, a couple of times I thought I'd accidentally skipped a portion of it, but nope. Just plain lousy writing (or is that the editing?). What a mess. The 2.5 starts for the sweet parts alone.
