My new nanny may just be the most stubborn, frustrating…sexy woman I’ve ever met. And I can’t get her out of my f*cking head.

Good story, poor editing
I read a lot and have learned to deal with grammar & spelling issues; however, when the main character's names are WRONG, that really irritates me. This would have been a 5 star for me had someone paid more attention!

Fabulous short read. This is the story of Elianna and Lucas. Elianna is the nanny to Lily Lucas's daughter. Having been taking care of her for nearly a month and she still hasn't met Lucas. She arrives at his office to met him and didn't expect to fall for him as soon as she sees him. Will Lucas fall for Elianna and her sassy attitude. What will happen between the two of them.... have a read and find out. Really great book and highly recommended.

A quick and touching modern-day fairy tale!
I enjoyed the idea of this story and loved reading how the relationship between Eliana and Lucas evolved from employer-employee to something more. In my opinion, the story felt pretty rushed, but I really did like the characters and concept, and I would be very interested in reading an extended version if Carter were to write one!
Eliana was very down-to-earth girl with no delusions about her role in Lucas' home; she was there for Lily, Lucas' daughter. But hey, she ain't dead, so living with a hot alpha male is bound to affect her at some point ;)
Lucas, though set in his ways, found himself becoming less of a beast and more of the man his daughter needed him to be.
The complimentary copy I received had a bonus story included, so the length of THIS story was relatively short. Also, and I'm not sure if I received a final copy or a draft, but if this is the final, it absolutely needs to go to a proofreader!
Aside from that, I enjoyed the story of Eliana and Lucas, and I look forward to reading more books by Carter!

I enjoyed this book! Actually I enjoyed both books but I liked the first one better. Both books are quick and sexy reads with good well developed characters. I really liked the Hs in both books. I look forward to reading more from Carter Blake.

It’s been a while since I have read any male authors that write romance stories. I know why it’s because of my silly mindset that men can’t write a convincing strong enough romance with believable intimate scenes because of this I have already prejudged books and authors when I haven’t even read anything they wrote. To me male authors write good paranormals, fantasy or science fiction not romance. So what makes this book by Mr. Carter Blake different and made me want to read it much less finish the story. First of all the title really caught my eye and a big second that as I was reading I not only enjoyed the story but Mr. Blake can write a very good romance with some great characters and the sex was not bad or very drawn out. I feel as though Mr. Blake wrote things quite tastefully and not off-putting when it came to the sex scenes and amazingly so there is a believable storyline too even though this is the first book of his that I have read.
Lucas Philip a handsome billionaire total workaholic while in his office has a meeting with someone named Eliana. Lucas can’t figure out who this Eliana is until she walks into his office and it turns out to be his daughter’s nanny. When Eliana Sanders meets Lucas she is secretly attracted to him but due to his social status and his brusque beastly demeanor Eliana feels that Lucas feels nothing for her when in actuality Lucas wants her even though she is forbidden to him. As Eliana gets Lucas to spend more time with his daughter can these two get passed their stilted thinking form a relationship and even fall in love with each other?
I totally loved Eliana she was smart, feisty, bubbly can speak her mind and not scared of a gruff boor of a man like Lucas. Really what’s not to like she was totally a breath of fresh air and just seemed like a bright positive person even though things do happen to her that are not that great. I think the hardest thing for me though was to imagine what Eliana really looked like until later on. Lucas on the other hand seemed like such a prick in the beginning that I really couldn’t stand him sure he was handsome a billionaire but there is more to falling for the hero than just physical looks and social status. I think that was the point I was supposed to not like him at first but because of this I had a hard time connecting with him at all. In some ways I felt Eliana could have done better. I did want more of a romantic proposal because it did feel a little forced and also the book ended a little too quickly for my taste that I wanted it to be a little longer. Still the story was nice with some steamy love action and I really enjoyed it. I do however plan on reading more of Mr. Blake’s stories though and can recommend it to the non-believers that men can’t write romance because they really can.

Lucas👹 is the Grinch who stole his daughter's heart💘. He's a billionaire who's a workaholic, no surprise there. After his wife's indiscretion with the pool boy, he divorces her and has full custody of his 6 year old daughter, Lily.
Now he's running through nannies like water and his daughter's attitude and antics are most of the problem.
Elly💋 is the latest nanny to work for Lucas, only he doesn't even know she's already been living at his penthouse for three weeks! Some father he is.....
Elly💋 finally has to go see him at his office to introduce herself and force him to spend some time on a field trip with his daughter.
When Lucas👹🍌🌋✋ sees Elly, he is smitten💞, but the pain and betrayal of his divorce is too fresh, and he knows she is too young for him.
Elly💋 just wants Lily to spend some time with her father, she knows Lily is acting out because she needs attention.
I know there are bunches of these nanny stories, but this is a good one, and it's also written from a man's point of view. The book could use another proofreading and editing. There were a number of misspellings throughout.
Elly💋 frustrates and excites Lucas🐺🍌🌋 at every turn. He wants to punish✋✋ her for insolence, and make Love💘 to her at the same time. He is afraid to do either!
Lucas🐺🍌🌋 is definitely a 🔥Hot headed Spankmeister✋✋, and he's a biter👄, too!

Too Short! Sad Face!
I really liked this book in the beginning...I mean I got whiplash with how quickly we went from...I can't sleep with my daughters nanny to I can't get enough of her...that should have given me a clue as to how short this book was going to be. By 20% he's talking about how he can't live without her and how he can't lose her...and by 25% the book is over! Booooo!
There was so much potential here...Eliana was sassy and confident and wasn't afraid to stand up to Lucas...or at least she hid her fear well lol...and Lucas...swoon...nothing sexier than a man who is such a hard a$$ on the outside and so alpha that people give him a wide berth on the side walk but who also has a soft underbelly that he'll show to the right woman. And the storyline with the ex wife...could have...no should have gone deeper...it just all went too fast and ended much too soon...I'm just sayin...

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. What a quick and enjoyable book. Eliana is Lilly's nanny and in three months has yet to meet her father, Lucas. When they do finally meet sparks fly. Eliana goes to Lucas' work to talk to him about Lilly and to get him to go on a field trip to the zoo. Lucas has spent the last year focusing on work. He loves Lilly but has not taken a very active role as such. Eliana can see how this affects Lilly and decides to call him on it. Once Eliana and Lucas spend more time together they can't seem to deny what is happening between them. You will have to read the book to find out how it all plays out. And how the HEA comes about. This is the second book I have read from Carter Blake and I know I will read more as they come out.

This was a fun, quick, sassy read from Carter Blake.
The story has a bit of a Beauty and the Beast theme and I also got some Sound of Music vibes (ie: Maria telling off Captain VonTrapp and telling him to pay attention to his kids!).
Elly is Lily's new nanny. Lily is a precocious 6 year old who loves to prank and torment her nannies until they quit. Well, Elly is not so easily run off and they become fast friends. Elly loves spending time with Lily and wants to make her life better, but Lily's father is not doing his part to be involved in his daughter's life. After working for (and living with) the family for a month and still never having met her boss, Lucas Phillips, she demands a meeting with him at his office.
Lucas is not a man who takes orders. He gives them. Expects them to be followed to the letter, but he does not take orders. Elly doesn't care. She's fighting for Lily and what's best for the sweet little girl she's growing to love. If she has to step on Lucas' beastly toes to get his attention, then she will. Elly brings her strength, sass, fierceness and her concern for Lily and lays everything out for Lucas. That sweet little girl needs her Daddy and it's time for Lucas to rearrange his priorities.
Not accustomed to women (or men for that matter) standing up to him, Lucas is irritated and intrigued by Elly's outburst. He's also painfully aware of how beautiful she is and how inappropriate it would be for him to sleep with the first nanny that his daughter has actually approved of.
Lily and Elly team up to convince Lucas to spend more time at home and with Lily, and as a result he spends more time with Elly as well. They aren't able to resist the temptation for long and Lucas and Elly fall into a secret relationship.
The chemistry between Lucas and Elly is intense and electric! The steamy scenes are very hot. Watching Lucas get to know his daughter and become a Daddy again, is also super sweet and swoonworthy. Can they make this work? Is it possible that Elly will get the happy ending she's dreamed of and Lily will get the 'mother' she deserves?

Can the nanny tame the beast?
This is the first book I have read by Carter Blake and I was pleased with the story.
Eliana is the young nanny that has been taking care of Lucas's daughter while he works long hours.
I rated the book four stars because there are a few typos along with misspelling and wrong character name used, however it isn't enough to detract from the romance growing between the nanny and workaholic billionaire.
This is definitely a book that should be a part of your library and an author you should read more of if you haven't read Carter Blake before. I know I will be reading more of them.

Lucas is a powerful man running his families business and is successful in everything work related, but sometimes the most successful can be also the most broken people. A little jaded from his past, but he can't seem to get Eliana out of his head. Only problem, she is the nanny to his little girl Lily. This book is quick and sometimes I just couldn't feel the connections but overall I really liked this book and have read others by this author and will continue to read more. If you need a short hot read then this should do the trick!

This story was a short steamy read, about a recently divorced dad , workaholic releasing that he has been neglecting his daughter. It takes his nanny who he has never met to make him realize he is missing out.Eliana the nanny is really dedicated and caring and the sweetest thing. I liked that she had a backbone and stuck it Lucas about being there for Lilly. Lucas is a grouch who still messes up but then comes around. I really loved the relationship between Eliana and Lily it was so sweet.

I didn´t like Eliana´s character very much, I think she is annoying and squeeky.
But this book is well written and I liked Lily and Lucas´ characters very much.

Loved!
Loved it! Not my usual genre of reading, but it was a great read that surprised me. The story kept my attention as it was not slow and did not drag. There was plenty of excitement ! Very steamy! A HEA , which is a major plus for me! My usual genre is of the shifter nature. Honestly I was so engrossed in this story I did not miss a shifter . A must read for anyone that likes a hot steamy romance with a HEA!

Falling For The Nanny
I enjoyed this book very much, a bit disappointed that it ended at 25%. Second story takes up 75% of the book, I did not read it. Until you actually read the book, you have no idea it's more than one story.

Both books are wonderful reads. There is a bonus book and that one is just as good as the main book. You can sympathize with the nanny and understand why she feels the way she does. You can also feel how the "beast" felt and how he is willing to change.

Sweet but too short
Sweet story but I feel there was too little of it; it's pace a little too quick. It would have been nice with more background on the characters, especially Eliana.
I also more than once came across names that had been switched around among other smaller errors.

You don't know what you're missing until it's standing in front of you...
This fast paced story definitely shows you that money can't buy you everything. Expect to fly through the pages in one sitting because you won't want to stop once you start.

Uncannily a price on family. Lucas was such a workaholic that he didn't even know his daughter until the nanny woke him up. Discovering new relationships and romance was an awakening for Lucas. Lily was thriving finish in Eliana's care.
