A New Adult Romance Story

April is determined to make it on her own, but when Bennett comes knocking at her door, a whole new problem arises.

***Due to sexually graphic content and language that some may find offensive, this book is intended for mature readers only***

April is finished with school and ready to build a career. Coming from a well-to-do family, she has decided to reboot her life completely. The first step? Removing herself from her family’s will and any chance of inheriting her father’s business. With family scars too deep to mend, April craves a fresh start.

Step two? Pursuing her dream of being a full time photographer. Prospects for freelance photography are fierce but April is determined to make it completely on her own. After moving in with her best friend, Emily, she looks forward to making a dent in her new world.

But the past is harder to shake than April ever would have imagined. At the center of it all is Bennett, an old family friend who is the heir to a billionaire media mogul company. Bennett and April haven’t been able to stand each other since they were kids. But as the world shifts, the two of them discover the past might be the key to their future.

Read the story to find out what happens.

It seems as I am finding more authors I'm intrigued by that I am willing to read books in parts rather than whole books together and though as a reader this annoys me, it seems sometimes I just have to accept that's the way authors write books! I began reading this ARC in Jan and have been eagerly following what happens next as Carla has teased us in preparation for the upcoming parts.

Now, Torrid Exposure is a bit slow to begin with....it has to be as Carla is building her story. It's a short read but hooks you in by the end and wanting to find out more about April and Bennett. I like how April is trying to follow her own path separate from her rich but secret filled family and with the introduction of Bennett, her childhood frenemy, things are about to take a change of pace between them that neither ever saw coming......

Keeping reading, it's worth it!

....

Very bare story. A majority of the book is about a party she attends for a friend and gets drunk at. Has a fight with her family. Randomly has sex with Bennett, her childhood nemesis, after he takes care of her while being drunk. Ending of the book she’s wondering where they stand after not speaking for three days. Cliff hanger book made for you to buy the other books to understand anything about the storyline. I wasted my time. Don’t waste yours.

Enjoyable

This was a great story. She is trying to make something of herself after college without her family money and they can't understand why. Her first photo job is a family friends son. Things get exciting from there. Want to know what happens in book 2.

Interesting start, however, plot not finished unless you purchase another book.

Disappointment at no ending

Would have liked to have ending. Don't like having to buy second book to see how story ends. Oh well onto another book

A Good Read!

I really enjoyed it, but it was too short. I can't wait to see if April and Bennett get together, and what Spencer is into.

Romance

Not really my kind of book that I like to read. It was ok to have the extra reading material. Maybe this book is for young adults

Great start to a new series. April is trying to separate herself from her rich family and start her photography business, but can you really leave your past behind. I liked the story as well as the characters. Looking forward to more.

I received an ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review.
April is a sweet girl who comes from money, but wants to do good on her own, but first after her parents put her through school. I really understand why her parents is a bit “mad” at her. But she gets a reality check when her “friend” Bennett lays out the facts.
I just want to shake Aprils big sister
All the questions book 2 here I come.
