Fantastic short story that definely leaves me wanting more in a good way. Characters and plot line are compelling and I can't wait to see where they all end up next.

Left me wanting the next chapter now

A Grim Inception was a fun and exciting read that left me wondering what was going to happen next. It sets the stage for what I hope will be an action packed story of revenge, punishment and justice. It has all the ingredients. I felt like I was in the corner of a room watching everything happen right in fro t of me. In a city where multiple crime families are fighting to rule them all there are bound to be unintentional casualties. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. After the events that transpired in this short, I am very curious to see what happens next. Crime. B!old. Revenge. Looking forward to reading Grim Ambition

The beginning of something great.

The only negative that I'm able to think of is that there's not any more. I can't wait to find out where this goes, and what surprises I'm in for!

This is a well written, smart introduction to what I'm sure will be a fabulous story. There will be no hesitation for me to pick up the next release!

Great introduction into the world of Grim. Despite being a short story, I had to have it print after I read the kindle version. Looking forward to the soon-to-be released first book in the trilogy. These characters and this dark gritty world left me wanting more.

Absolutely blown away by this prequel... I can't even imagine what Jennifer has planned for the upcoming trilogy - but I will be first in line to read them & find out!! The descriptions definitely make you feel like you're right there in the action, even finding myself short of breath at the pace of some of the action. In such a short story I felt such a connection to the characters showing the talent, emotion, & imagination behind the author. Jennifer's writing is phenomenal & I really hope this is only a brief glimpse of the amazing things to come from this Grim Trilogy!

The description of this short story is quite self explanatory. It tells a story of a lawyer Henry, who works for Russian mafia’s head, Vance. During one of the meetings with another mafia family, Henry’s friend Julie, gets killed. He supposed to take care and protect Julie, but he failed, and he wants revenge on the people who have done it.
This short story introduces some of the characters, who will be in the next part of the book. They all are cruel and vicious. It does explain why the story of Grim began, but doesn’t explain the story of the Grim itself. I would’ve liked to know the story of the Grim, how he was born, how he became Grim, as a prequel. And yes, the story told could’ve been as the follow up. But I think author left the juicy bits of the Grim for later…

Sucks you in

A great start to a dark universe. Characters were believable and the plot moved fast. This is an exciting taste of what I assume the trilogy will be.
