This was a short quick read by a new author too me. This was a dark romance mafia read it started out like some of the other mafia reads that I have read. Sarah Hastings went to mob under boss Roman Rinaldi to plead for her brother Robbie life. Robbie let his girlfriend confine him to steal from the moto the tune of a hundred thousand dollars. Sarah is a 23 year old school teacher who has had much luck with men and who has only had sex once in high school. When she make the offer to be Romans girlfriend he has something else in mind. Roman is a hot sexy rich mob boss who is a triple he is also a dangerous killer. When Sarah shows up he likes what he sees in the young innocent women he makes. Roman taste run dark and kinky and he gets off on humiliating her the sex scenes in this book were hot and Sarah loved everything about it. I wish that the author would have given the reads more backstory on Sarah and her brother like why did they live with her aunt. We start to see Roman struggle with his feelings for Sarah. When Sarah's brother Robbie comes back she records what he says but she doesn't tell Roman and he gets mad and wants to humiliate even more until his brothers talk him out of it and Sarah leaves him when he listens to the tape he finds out that she loves him he knows that he has to get her back. Sarah gets kidnapped by a woman that wants revenge against him and he will do anything to get her back. I really liked this book and this series. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book about Dom.

I absolutely love reading books by new authors. Sometimes they're a hit, sometimes they're a miss, but either way someone's dream of becoming a published author is coming true. This one is a HIT!
This was a great debut novel and I look forward to reading about Roman's brothers in future Triple Threat books.
When feisty kindergarten teacher Sarah offers herself as payment for her brother’s debts to the mob, in exchange for saving her brother’s life, Roman Rinaldi reluctantly accepts. Aware that it will make him look weak to his family, his followers and his enemies, he can’t resist the temptation of Sarah’s innocence and beauty.
Their arrangement starts out with Sarah being his plaything. Whatever his desires, be they humiliation, bdsm, deprivation, she must submit. After a few times together though, the lines start to blur and they start to feel less resentment and obligation towards each other and more care and concern. For Roman though, the head of a mob family, there are certain expectations of him and one of them is for him not to fall for any pretty face. Not to have a partner in life, but a submissive to toy with.
Sarah doesn’t view life and love like this though, so once she realizes she’s falling for a man that may never fully return her feelings, she puts her foot down. Will Roman realize how much Sarah means to him before he loses her for good?
Dark, bdsm, mob boss romance. Erotic, suspenseful and intense. Great novella! Can’t wait to read the next one!

okay, i think i read this book. why i am questioning it is that fact that the cover is totally different? on my cover the Triple Threat was not shown, that really confuses me??! interesting idea .... more research ... i think? no clue. same author. same title??! odd.

Absolutely love this book and recommend it to anyone looking for a easy, sexy, mafia read. I devoured it and the only reason it was a 4 star read for me is because I wanted just a bit more. I also thought the resolution to the issue that arises between the MCs was convenient rather than actually being fully fleshed out. This is a book I’ll definitely do a reread of though for it’s smut!

Sarah, though she may not always agree with his choices, loves her younger brother, so much so that she's willingly facing Roman, of the La Cosa Nostra...the Sicilian mob. Her brother, Robbie, actually stole from the family and Sarah is offering to repay Roman for her brother's actions. As she doesn't make much on a teacher's salary she's willing to offer the only thing she can...herself, or the appearance of it.
Roman knows his house is completely secure, yet he couldn't resist the temptation of Sarah's delectable body and used the excuse of searching her, very thoroughly, for a wire. He can admit, at least to himself, how strongly he's affected by her. To Roman, the amount of money lost isn't the issue, it's the lack of respect shown to a man of his position, and that is priceless. Roman has a counteroffer...he wants Sarah at his beck and call for one hundred days. It will be physical only, ensuring all the pleasure without any emotional aspects. Roman's "interest" is definitely "rising" at the thought. *wink wink Yeah, you see what I did there. LOL*
Unfortunately, when Roman arrives to collect Robbie, and begin his arrangement with Sarah, he learns Robbie has disappeared. Now their original contract is null and void and Roman takes the opportunity to make some changes. The only deadline now is when Roman decides it over.
However, it isn't long into their arrangement that both are already struggling to remind themselves that this is business only, and there's no room for any emotions. Soon Roman and Sarah are eating dinner together and actually talking, sharing personal stories, making it almost seem as if they're in a relationship and Roman knows he needs to retain a purely professional outlook on this. He then proceeds to distance himself and treat her as he'd originally intended...a vessel for his pleasure and nothing more. Sarah senses the difference in him and assumes his interest is fading, but it also brings home what she'd become to save her brother.

But later, after admitting they're in a relationship, everything comes crashing down when Roman, feeling betrayed, refuses to listen to Sarah and proceeds to use her and show her just how little she means to him...even if his heart is hurting the whole time she's enduring it and he's doing it.
Why does Roman believe Sarah betrayed him? How does he punish her? Will Roman ever learn the truth about what actually happened and why? Can Sarah forgive him? Can Roman forgive himself for what he did, and planned to do? Will Sarah return or is she gone forever from Roman's life? Is Sarah safe? Or is someone willing to use her to get back at Roman? Can Roman and Sarah work through their issues? Is there a HEA for them? Or did Roman lose the most important person to him because he wouldn't let her explain?

I really liked the premise of this story and the attraction Roman and Sarah felt for one another was easy to see upon their first meeting. Though Roman labels their arrangement as one thing, he already knows it's more. The suspense and intimacy occurs while following Roman and Sarah on their journey as they explore their boundaries and feelings, while struggling to overcome any obstacles thrown their way. I'm looking forward to the second book and can't decide if I want it to be Dominic or Luka's. Psst...I'm leaning toward Dominic as Luka seems a little too "free" with himself, if you get my meaning. *cough cough probably a manwhore...not my favorite trait by any means*

Pretty cover? Check. Mafia romance? Double-check! A mafioso who... practices BDSM? Okay, you've just lost me.
Roman is apparently the story of a Cosa Nostra leader (I believe the New Orleans branch), Roman something-or-other, and Sarah, the doe-eyed kindergarten teacher who indentures herself in order to save her ne'er-do-well brother.
Immediately upon arrival, Sarah can't keep Roman's hands off of her (a wannabe raunchy pat-down scene that falls flat) -- and wouldn't you know it? -- her nipples immediately harden to glass-cutters and her panties "literally drench," all while he describes how he's gonna bang her in front of everyone and tears of supposed humiliation burn in her eyes.
And somehow, she's piqued Roman's interest enough that he takes her sexual services as repayment for $100,000 that were taken from him by her brother. (Side note: These stories where the heroine seems to have a magical vagina worth gold never do much for me.) Roman's describing her frumpy clothing, Sarah's personality comes off as a frightened librarian -- how is this in anyway appealing to a guy who presumably can have any woman at his beck and call?
But whatever. In a few scenes before I'd given up, Roman can't get ahold of the brother, and annoyed all of the sudden, he immediately demands that Sarah give him oral -- and she comes off as a shaking and frightened participant, who, again, floods her underwear even as she feels embarrassed that his guys are witnessing her acts. (How is this sexy?) Soon thereafter, there's a scene where he's roughly spanking her ("Lucky bastard," says a witness -- why? Why? Literally at any given moment, someone in this world is getting erotically spanked -- how does this make Roman luckier than any random guy?) and Sarah, shaking and afraid (when is she not?) begins to cry -- "not out of fear, but out of need for more."

Loved, Loved, Loved this book. Sarah is a kindergarten teacher that is only 23 years old and hasn’t really had an easy time growing up. While growing up she has also been responsible for her brother Robbie who is 20. When Robbie gets himself mixed up in some really bad business, Sarah tries to help him out. Robbie stole $100,00 from Roman Rinaldi whose family is the mob and a triplet. Yep, you know what happens when something like that is done. Robbie is on the run. So what does Sarah do? She ends up on Roman’s front step wanting to meet with him. When she does, she offers him herself as payment instead of her brother’s life. Who wouldn’t want someone to offer themselves like that, especially a man like Roman who enjoys a dark sex life. Will Roman save Robbie’s life and enjoy Sarah instead? Will feeling come into play even when they aren’t supposed to? What will happen if Sarah and Robbie finally talk? All of these questions will keep you invested in this book. I was so enthralled by this book, I read it in one day. That’s how good I though it was. You will not be disappointed. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book. I am so looking forward to the next book in the series.

This premise has been done many times before by other authors but this was quit readable, quick I liked it despite the cliche scenario. We have a mafia Brother, Roman who is one of three (trilogy!) who is crossed in business by a pretty stupid character. Said stupid character has a sister, Sarah, who tries to bail him out of trouble by offering first her paltry savings and then her person when it's suggested. At first Roman wants a little suffering and humiliation but decides he really likes how well Sarah responds to his kink. There is some pretty dirty sex with bondage, public displays, butt plugs, hand cuffs and riding crops everywhere. Of course Sarah takes to this like a pro even with her innocent background of Kindergarten teacher. I kid you not, it's one of the required jobs a heroine has to have in order to portray innocence. One of the other being Church Secretary . Despite the eye roll set up and copious hot sex I found this entertaining and I would definitely read this author again.

I received an Advance Reader Copy for Roman and voluntarily reviewed this book. Sarah Hastings pays a personal visit to La Cosa Rostra Sicilian crime underboss Roman Rinaldi to plead for the life of her younger brother Robbie in exchange for the use of her body. He instantly likes and wants what he sees but manages to maintains his mobster facade and agrees, amazingly, to her arrangement to pay off her brother's debt to his family. The contract stipulations are nullified, however, when Robbie makes a run for it. She then becomes his personal collateral, to use as he wishes and when he wishes, until they find Robbie and deal with him. So follows her dark and twisted initiation into his bed and his mafia world, where innocence is taken, weakness is a liability, and loyalty and family mean everything.
This is a scintillating beginning to the series, and I cannot wait to read the stories of the other triplets, Dominic and Lukas, as well!

After her brother steals from one of the heads of the Rinaldi crime family, Sarah Hastings decides to offer herself up in exchange for his life. Roman Rinaldi is instantly attracted to Sarah, but is determined to keep her on his terms. The offer of being his sex toy was never what Sarah thought she would do, but is intrigued by the thought. When Sarah's brother comes back in the picture, will Sarah be able to talk him into turning himself in? Will Roman be able to find her and prove his feelings are real before it is to late?
I'm a sucker for a mafia and bdsm romance and this one was perfect. Loved how Roman was this big tough mafia boss, but yet when it came down to it he proved that he did have a heart. I did think Sarah was blind when it came to her brother, but he's family that she had practically raised. Awesome book and hope the other brothers get their own stories to!

Well, this was an unexpected hot read. I can enjoy the beauty and the beast trope if done right but unfortunately most are rather generic. h offers herself to settle her brother's debt to mafia big shot. He takes her as his sex slave but along the line mc start to develop feelings for each other.
Of course the story line itself doesn't leave room for a lot of imagination but this one was actually well written. I am not into BDSM, D/s relationships and humiliation and spanking are also not what floats my boat but this book was nicely done. You see the relationship develop between the MC and you see how H starts to fall for h. I also liked how his brothers were actually respectful towards their relationship and even tried to talk t him about it....There is little angst and the story is straight forward but there is grovel (yay). For a quick read, certainly recommended~!

First read of this author and I really enjoyed it. The characters and the storyline were good, there were a couple of parts a bit much for me – but it did not take away from my overall enjoyment of the story.

Robbie works for the La Cosa Nostra, the Sicilian Mob, in New Orleans and makes a bad decision concerning a shipment which lands him with a price on his head. When Sarah finds out, she goes to Roman – one of the heads of the La Cosa Nostra, to plead for her brother’s life and has no way to make recompense other than to offer herself as payment for the debt. Roman is wary of the offer – he cannot afford to look weak, but finds the offer intriguing and adds his own conditions. When Sarah cannot uphold part of their deal Roman changes the game. Both went into their arrangement with their own expectations but once the lines started to blur they were unprepared for the final outcome and how it would change them both.
I enjoyed Roman and Sarah’s complicated relationship and how they each warred with their actions and feelings for the other, as well as the balance and happiness they found.

Sarah is a sweet kindergarten teacher with a younger brother who is always getting in trouble. This time her really screwed up. He was working for a mafia family and stole some of their stuff and sold it for a profit. The mafia is looking for him and plan to kill him as an example of not to mess with them. Sarah goes to the family's help and begs Roman to not kill her brother. She will offer to do anything to save them. She and Roman come up with an agreement. Sarah has to turn in her brother and agree to do anything that Roman asks for 100 days as long as it doesn't involve permanent damage or sharing her with other men. Roman promises not to kill her brother and will instead send him to Europe to be watch carefully. Sarah signs the agreement but her brother is on the run.
When Roman saw sweet Sarah his thoughts turned to how he could ruin her innocent looks.and turn her into the best sex toy. Even though it goes against his family rules not to kill her brother, Roman will do anything to get Sarah. His desires for her are very dark and dominating. He displays her naked for his men to see and forces her yell dirty comments for them all to hear. Surprisingly enough Sarah is enjoying his treatment and his attention. As time goes on Roman is drawn to Sarah's willingness. A relationship starts to build but Roman won't acknowledge it. Sarah gives into his every desire until Roman's suspicious decides that she betrayed him and he goes back to treating her like a toy again. Sarah has had enough and leaves him and allowing her ungrateful brother to be punished for his deeds. Will Roman figure out what she really means to him before it is too late?

When Roman saw sweet Sarah his thoughts turned to how he could ruin her innocent looks.and turn her into the best sex toy. Even though it goes against his family rules not to kill her brother, Roman will do anything to get Sarah. His desires for her are very dark and dominating. He displays her naked for his men to see and forces her yell dirty comments for them all to hear. Surprisingly enough Sarah is enjoying his treatment and his attention. As time goes on Roman is drawn to Sarah's willingness. A relationship starts to build but Roman won't acknowledge it. Sarah gives into his every desire until Roman's suspicious decides that she betrayed him and he goes back to treating her like a toy again. Sarah has had enough and leaves him and allowing her ungrateful brother to be punished for his deeds. Will Roman figure out what she really means to him before it is too late?

First read by this author and I will be going back for more! Great storyline that flowed smoothly from start to finish and kept me both engaged and invested in both Sarah and Roman. I loved his brothers and look forward to their stories in the future:)
The sex scenes were pretty darn hot!!!! Although I am not totally into the BDSM lifestyle, I really enjoyed Roman and his dominating and kinky ways with Sarah. My emotions were up, down and all around during their stay which I love because I was so engrossed in not only the storyline BUT the characters as well and that's when I know I have a author who can pull me right int her stories.

I should have listened to the other reviewers....there is sexy spanking and then there is just sadistic whippings. To say you want to whip/spank someone until they cry is not sexy, to do it....nope!
Roman was a jerk and Sarah a doormat. Seriously, who does the things in this book. I kept reading because it was like a train wreck I couldn’t look away from. Yes, when other reviewers say there is humiliation in this book they aren’t lying....every sexy time at the beginning is filled with Roman humiliating Sarah sexually whether it is leaving her on display naked for his guards to see, or leaving the door open while he whips her until she is bawling. Then the fact Sarah “loves” it makes it worse.

Take me to the dark side please
What started out as repayment blossoms into something so much more. I love that we get a sense of Roman’s true feelings for Sarah from the first time that they meet. He is super good at hiding them, but there are little things that let his growing love shine through. Sarah has a much harder time hiding her feelings, but she tries to keep her soft center under wraps. Well until he gets mad and lets irrational actions fly. Luckily the rest of the trio are there to talk him off the ledge, but not before he almost loses everything. Will he be able to recover his true love in time? I’ll never tell. Grab a copy of this great read and find out for yourself. I will tell you this though, I am looking forward to reading the next book!

Kindergarten teacher Sarah shows up at mob boss's house to beg for her brothers life. Roman is a mob boss and Sarah's brother stole from his family. Sarah makes a deal, she'll do anything as long as Roman doesn't kill her brother. Roman likes his sex very rough and expects Sarah to do everything he wants. No matter how humiliating it is. What Sarah doesn't expect is to like the things being done to her. Sarah starts to have feelings for Roman but an incident causes him to treat her horribly and she leaves. But someone is out there watching her just waiting for the chance to get back at Roman.
I believe this is my first time reading this author but it definitely won't be the last. Lots of sex. BDSM. Hot shot mob boss and a school teacher.

DNF!
This really doesn't have too much going on in it aprt from the sex, which quite honestly is not even believable. I mean I'm all for a bit of hot erotica in a story but this reads like a bad porn movie.
I find it difficult to believe that a kindergarden school teacher who is basically crapping herself will get off o when told to 'suck me off' by the guy she has just gone to offer herself up to in order to clear her brother's debt. There are so many instances where Sarah ends up with soaking panties, I have to wonder how she could have only had one sexual encounter in the past.
Will not be going on to read the other brothers books in the series.

Kinda squeamish for my taste
The debasing and whippings and utter rudeness had me squeamish. Some shit was not sexy and hot, but instead degrading and stupid. I’m all for understanding the BDSM, but shit was just too raw. I don’t get how at the end Román turns a whore into a housewife. As Sarah, how do you come back from being exposed like that? That’s on a whole new level of kink. How is it that Román is mad when someone touches her but now upset when his men see her naked and fully exposed? Too much bullshit and asshole factors for me to really enjoy this book. It’s was nice, but pretty basic at that. Meh...🤷🏾♀️👎🏾

Mixed feelings
I wasn't ready for the theme and it's certainly not for everyone. This is quite dark, centered around paying a debt, but eventually things don't go the way they're planned.
There's a bit of abuse here and debasing scenes that I didn't like but would probably work for the others looking into that kind of story.
Yes, there's a bit of affection then love between Roman and Sarah, and they spent time together to lead to that.
When it comes to the sex scenes, they're downright steamy if you take the situation around them out of the equation. While everything was consensual, I felt that Roman was forgiven too easily. I would have liked to see him grovel more.

Their "arrangement" comes about because of Sarah's brother, and because of him (again!) Sarah is in danger.
I was enjoying the developing relationship between Roman and Sarah, especially her burgeoning sexuality, until a scene that I found distressing. It was way over the top.
Apart from that one scene this is a good mob book with lots of action, betrayal, attempted murder and plenty of erotic scenes.

I started this book and had absolutely no idea what I was getting myself into. As I read farther and farther I was very intrigued. I really loved this book and really loved the characters. As I was reading I was falling in love with both Roman and Sarah. These two were made for each other, they complimented each other so well. I could not put the book down as soon as I started. This is the first time I have read this author and I really hope that there is more books about the other brothers. I can't wait to find out about them.

Sarah just wanted to pay off her brothers debt. Roman wasn't going to accept anything except her body. Neither one counted one falling in love with each other. I loved the way they interacted with each other, and they dynamics of the relationship. This relationship was really put to the test when her brother betrayed her. This is my first book by Josephine Jade, but won't be my last. I would really love to see his brothers get their own books and happily ever afters. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I found J. Jade in the anthology Forbidden. The story was short but hot so I searched for more. It's a story with heavy BDSM. Despite that, the building of the relationship held my interest.

I hope author doesn't get stuck in a template of the H having to rescue the h in every story. In the two books in this series so far it has happened. Hope the 3rd book Lukas deviates from this pattern.

Interesting read. Always interesting when the heroine gives herself to pay a debt. Sexy and pretty taboo in some ways. It’s something that is dark and twisted and kinda hot!
I liked the story and the plot. Lots and lots of sex. Lots! I just really don’t get into spanking when it hurts, I know they say the love it etc, etc; but not my thing. Roman was a total ass the her and she just forgave him. I liked that his brothers set him straight. I will read the rest, sound like they like kink so I am sure they will be interesting.
