This is a fairly nice cover. The dude isn't exactly how I pictured the hero, but he is hot so who cares! The composition is slightly off for me. I think the text is stretched too wide and is placed too low. That said I do like the mix of the two fonts used for the title.
I really enjoyed this one. Personally, I think the author does her best writing when she ventures into "daddy kink." On top of that this one ran on the longer side of novella length allowing for more story. Oh it was still very "insta" everything and in my opinion would have been that much better had it been fleshed out even more. I especially would have liked to have seen some BDSM elements since the hero owned a sex club and was a Dom. I felt this angle of the story was a little lacking and would have preferred the author had spent more page time in that direction than the direction she chooses with the "baddies plotline." But like I said I enjoyed it for what it was.
If you love daddy kink, then this book is for you. If you love insta-love than this book is for you. If you love a hero that has been celibate since he met the heroine than this book is for you. If you are in a mood for a quick smutty read than this book is for you.

You are as much at fault as Derrick. More so, in fact.’

This was the perfect book for my mood since I was looking for something short and sexy. The plot was pretty loose and didn't really keep my attention, but the overall story and heat factor is what had me captivated. In the bedroom these characters had a great connection and I'll definitely recommend this book for that alone. Honestly I don't really have anything else to say about it; it was sexy and interesting, and I would read more from this author.

I absolutely loved this. Dare I say it was my favorite Dani Wyatt book to date!
Pike, that sexy beast. Honorable to his word, faithful and sexy as all get out. Now THAT is a man! He found himself in a tough situation when he honored a pact with his friend from high school. Little did he know that pact would lead him to the love of his life - her young daughter. I respected that Pike did what he had to do and removed himself from temptation -even though it broke Willow's heart. Once she was back again thought, he knew he would never let her go.
Willow was the victim of her mother's mechanations. She was used as a pawn by the horrid woman. Yet, she turned out to be a sweet, kind soul. I liked her as a heroine. I also appreciated that she didn't push Pike away because he broke her heart in the past.

This was my first read from Dani Wyatt and I'm more than intrigued because the kink. Daddy/lg has been one of my fave theme for sweet escape. Although I admit Mastering Her Heart has similarity with a certain book , but I liked this more. It feels a bit realistic.
Pike Richards's marriage based on lies and business. There is no love; except when his step-daughter, Willow Wilson captivate him instantly. Pike left because she was far too young for him. Six years later, he's still lusting over Willow. This time, he determined to get her back. To love and fight for her.
Willow has been living her life out of her mother's influence. She's independent and hard working woman. But inside, Willow is still longing for her step-father. Bottom line, she's easily likable person. Pike known as Lord Tower, a famous club owner and the most eligible man only wants a certain woman in mind. He managed to invite Willow to 'seduce' her.
I really enjoyed their chemistry. It was raw filled with desperation. Mutual feelings. Pike asked for her forgiveness and she gave in. He couldn't handle the lust between them anymore. Of course, Pike isn't just a regular vanilla guy. The Daddy's kink quite convincing for me. Absolutely HOT with dirty talks.
Willow was so over the moon with Pike but there's a ghost from the past haunted her back. Willow tried to face it again but this time, Pike became her knight. He slayed all dragons, save the princess and happily ever after. Overall, it is a good short story but didn't enough to wow me. Just a quickie sexy book. Still, satisfying enough with a load of cums ;)

Her rape (with no penetration) was in the past (hence why I TAGGED as ABUSED HEROINE), off page, but she does give hints of what happened, to give context us context to her mother's monstrous behavior in regard of that heartbreaking situation. So, there is no rape, but the heroine was abused in the past, if that is a trigger for you somehow, then this is not for you. If not, and LIKE ME, only DESCRIPTIVE rape, on page, or descriptive flashback are your trigger, then you can read it, and enjoy the daddy kink. This was a really good, short read! Pike was so sweet and really liked Willow too. Although I liked the book, the "daddy" part of the book just didn't flow that well to me. I feel like the word was just stuck in there at random times so it could be daddy kink. Other than that though, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

OMG! DD/LG at its best! I loved this story written by Dani Wyatt. It has a fantastic plot full of suspense, mystery, passion and love. It is a story of two people who truly love each other but they are being kept apart by this villainous witch –there is some really great kinky action that takes place in this book. The Hero is one strong alpha male and the heroine is a beautiful and sweet woman who has endured so much. Their relationship is very much Forbidden but that doesn’t stop their love.
Pike and Willow's relationship is one that will grab you from page 1. The up and downs that they go thru to get to their HEA is one that kept me glued the entire story. Many people tried to keep them apart but they still were able to find their way back to each other and their love grew and stayed super strong. Where can I find a daddy like Pike? Seriously, he is hot and so dominant, I want him!! If you haven’t read a book by Ms Wyatt, then this is the book to start with.

Loved it. Great reread. Love that they were together through the whole story. Once they see each other that is it. Safety:The h was attacked when she was 16, sexual assault. She was also attacked at the end of the story, but she was saved.

Shes 16 at the time and he knows he can't do anything he last until she turns 18 and he divorces the mom to get away of the temptation of Willow and a problem that someone try to blackmail him... but he still keeps a PI to watch over her for awhile.
Willow was heartbroken but moved forward trying to forget the man who seemed like the only person in the world beside her grandmother who cared for her. oooooo! baby what a HOT story, Willow goes with her friends to a private club she wasn't sure what she was going to walk into but turns out the owner Lord Tower is her ex-stepdad. She remembers him well and knew he meant something more but he walked out of her life before anything would happened. Pike knew his feelings for his step-daughter when he left but didn't want to risk anything happen that can hurt anyone, to his surprise she shows up at his club. One kiss and they were hooked but someone doesn't want them together and Willow and Daddy (pike) fight to overcome everything to have their happy ending.

So it's a Daddy kink and it started off ok but then got tangled in all this ridiculous plot that just muddied the waters and I completely lost interest. Surprisingly, not nearly as much good sex as you would expect in a daddy kink book.
I don't recommend it at all, but I'm still giving it 2 for trying.

Dani Wyatt always manages to make me smile with her over-the-top sexy, dirty talking alpha heroes. Her novels are short and sweet and I usually read them on or close to release day. From start to finish, I enjoyed this somewhat taboo novel. Pike was Willow's step-father. There is a story there that I won't go into so you can enjoy it for yourself. Don't worry though, it's not high on the creepy scale.
The blurb pretty much sums up the premise of this book so I won't repeat that. I will say there is a bit of angst and mystery but that is easily and quickly resolved.
Pike owns an exclusive, invitation only, sex club. Knowing that, I admit to being a little disappointed that there was no venture into BDSM. Pike was certainly dominant enough and I believe that Willow would have been receptive if he wanted to 'play.'
But holy smokes! Pike was a sexy older man and Willow was one lucky, lucky girl! There were some steamy, sexy, erotic moments in this book. By the end of this book I was giddy. For lack of a better word.....that was exactly how I felt. Couldn't stop smiling. I mean...come on...only in these cheesy, awesome, insta-love novels do we get to vicariously. ;)

I received a copy of Mastering Her Heart by Dani Wyatt via the PR company in exchange for an unbiased and honest review.
I’ve quickly became a massive fan of Dani and her insanely hot books. Every time I finish one of her books I need to take a cold shower to calm me down as her books are hot as hell.
Dani's books may be quick reads but they are packed with insta lust, insta love, drama, twists and turns that you can’t help but love and want to pester her for more. Pike and Willow were AMAZING together. I love the whole Daddy thing it’s definitely one of those genres that Dani can do really well. I loved how alpha protective Pike was of Willow that made me swoon for him and I loved how Willow at times kept Pike on his toes.
Honestly I simply loved this book from start to finish and I especially loved the epilogue my heart melted I just loved it. Massive well done Dani and I can’t wait to see what you have planned for me in your next release.
