After joining the coven, Layla looks forward to exploring life as a witch, and one of the perks of her new world is Quin. He's handsome. He's romantic. He's a great kisser. And his playboy past proves it. Will their blossoming relationship survive his secrets? Or will a lie destroy it all?
The Earth Angel series is a young adult adaptation of The Mystic Series by B.C. Burgess.
B.C. Burgess was born and raised in a small town in Oklahoma, fishing from muddy lakes and running barefoot down hot tar roads to climb trees with her friends. Though her roots run deep in the blue-collar neighborhoods of the Midwest, her head stays in the clouds, dreaming of her next adventure. She’s on a mission to travel the world, but when she’s home, she’s an emotional support human to her rescue dog Junebug. She loves her son, her family and her friends, but coffee is her soulmate. B.C. spent nearly two decades submerged in the world of fantasy, creating the magical tapestry of the Mystic Series, and she now looks forward to sharing the journey with you.

So far out of all the books this has been my least favorite because of Layla's reaction to some things that happen with Quin. However, I feel like maybe that author felt like she needed it to introduce "the Stranger". I cannot wait to find out more about this new character, I have a feeling he is up to no good.
I’m starting to really get annoyed with how much she teases him sexually and then determines she isn’t “ready” to complete the act. Have sex or stop the teasing. Ugh. The coven keeps telling her how special she is but it feels like they are building up to something other than a bonded child. Is there something they aren’t telling her about who she is? He continuously feeling bad about bringing danger to the coven is old as well. Do something about it or accept what is. Stop the plastic sorrow. Still moving in the book 5 because I’m so invested in the story. Hope it gets better.
Probably my least favorite of the first five books. It was like Burgess was trying to create conflict that didn't really need to be there. I wish she would have continued to focus on the key plot rather than attempting to manufacture conflict that wasn't necessary.
Another filler part of the story. A whole book designated to wether or not quin is a man-whore. And then a few pages of drama at the end. Gimme a break. May be done with this series way sooner than planned.
