Grace Professor Ridley has a secret… And I’m going to find out what it is. When I signed up for his Criminal Justice course, it was nothing to me. The last three credits I needed to graduate. Now, it’s everything. He’s all I can think about. I don’t know if it’s my imagination, but the way he moves? He doesn’t just walk…he prowls. And I’m pretty sure those glasses are fake because those piercing green eyes see everything. Even the things I don’t want him to see. If I’m going to get over this obsession, I’ve got to get to the bottom of things and figure out exactly who Jack Ridley is. Even if it kills me.
Jack Hot as f*%k student Grace Farrow won’t stop trailing me with those dark, innocent eyes and, if it doesn’t stop soon, she’s going to find herself bent over the nearest desk losing her virgin status as she screams my name. Terrible outcome when blowing my cover would open me up to a world of hurt, so I have to resist. But when she takes her kitten-like curiosity too far, she puts herself in the line of fire. Now I’ve got to figure out how to save her without ruining her at the same time.
Professor Jack Ridley can feel Grace's eyes on him all the time. He'd love to take her on the nearest desk, but he knows just how dangerous that would be. Grace is all innocence and student/professor worship, and she can't help but be curious about him, in more ways than one. Ways that could get her into trouble. I loved this book - it was headed in one direction and then took me in another, but all the while I was just holding on to the sexy, fun roller coaster ride of this story. It made me laugh and smile, and ok, cringe a little too, but in a good way! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
It was ok. I felt like it was a dual plot was or rather my expectations were nowhere near the author's muse. The blurb does indicate that there is more to the professor but I just wasn't expecting this to have the some of the elements of a dark romance which made the plot come across as too mature for such a young heroine. The bad-boy plot kind of overwhelms the romance instead of them balancing one another out...just my thoughts doesn't make this a bad story. There are some hilarious, laugh out loud scenes that helped move it in the beginning chapters.
A good story about a college student and her professor. Grace is an inexperienced virgin who has a big crush on her criminal justice professor. Jack teaches during the day but does vigilante work at night. Because of this secret work and the fact that he is her professor he doesn't pursue his feelings for Grace. That is until she decides to push him and then follow him. He's not sure what her motives are and decides to keep her close. Feelings are developed and troubles arise. In the end these two find what they need in each other. It was a short and sweet story. While I enjoyed it I was a little frustrated with Grace and how she just kept following him without knowing if she was going into danger or not. I enjoy this author's writing and felt that both character's were developed well. I liked how this story tied into her other mafia stories also. Looking forward to reading more by her.
I wanted to love this one just as much as Savannah's other books, but this one just fell short. The blurb had me interested & I really liked the storyline, but I just couldn't connect with this novel. I didn't feel the chemistry between Jack & Grace & I couldn't connect with the characters individually either. Sadly, this story left me disappointed.
This book had all the makings of a decent story. But, Grace is entirely too stupid to be tolerated. Ugh! If she had been smarter, less annoying and not so naive, I probably could have dealt with this book. As it is, though, nope, not recommending this one at all.
I have to admit I wasn't sure what to expect. It sure wasn't this. I laughed and enjoyed this unusual couple. Sure, I've read student/teacher romances. However, this was much more. The professor was *professoring* as a cover, his day job. His night job was what makes him the advertised bad-boy. But is it really bad to go after real bad guys? One thing for sure, what he feels for Grace is not teacher-like. Oh, he'd like to teach her things, but not the Criminal Justice class she signed up for. The problem is that this beautiful girl seems to want him. This beautiful innocent girl.
Jack can't seem to determine if she is innocent or acting. Is she an innocent or an enemy? Either way, he wants her. I like that while not exactly by the books legal, his bad-boy actions are ... well, you need to read to find out what exactly he is. Grace has a roommate who is anything but virginal, she is hysterical. I dare you to hold in the laughter as she gives "lessons and sexual instructions" to Grace. The two are night and day, angel and devil, and as close as friends can be. They have to be for Grace to put up with the embarrassing moments she creates.
This was a page turner for me. I had to read it in one sitting. A unique romance, I really liked the story. The author is becoming more and more a favorite of mine. Finishing each new book, I can't wait for the next. She had written bad-boys who have honor and does it well. This was my favorite so far.
