Nagyon alapvető, és kissé hiányosnak mondható ismertetés az asztrológia világáról. Azt mondjuk abszolút nem értettem, hogy ha főleg a nyugati asztrológia történetéről, ill. a Zodiákus jegyekről szól, akkor mit keres benne egy fejezetnyi kínai asztrológia, és abból is csak az állatövi jegyek felületes ismertetése. Akkor már lehetett volna a védikus asztrológiát is ismertetni ilymódon.
Ami menti ezt a kötetet, hogy az asztrológia történetét nagyjából jól összefoglalja alapszinten, ill. Zodiákus jegyekről szép, kerek, hangulatos ismertetőket közöl, és mint a szerző másik kiadott kötete, ez is nagyon szép kiállítású, keményfedeles, míves színes illusztrációkkal. Ajándéknak tökéletes ezoterikus érdeklődésű ismerőseinknek, barátainknak.

Azért kezdtem el olvasni ezt a könyvet, mert úgy gondoltam megfelelő alapokat ad a további tanuláshoz.. Hát, fogjuk rá, hogy sikerült.

A könyv kb. első 40 oldala az, amit hasznosnak és érdekesnek gondolnék, ezután nagyjából 100 oldalnyi leírás következik a 12 csillagjegyről. Ez önmagában nem lenne rossz, és a hagyományos társítások kifejezetten hasznosak voltak, de maguk a fejezetek inkább didaktikus módon elmondtak valamit, ahelyett egy önismereti eszközt adtak az olvasó kezébe. Illetve ahhoz képest, hogy ez egy 2017-es könyv, eléggé elavult ideológiákat követ (pl. külön férfi-női jellemzés a jegyekről, kérem..).

Összességében nem bántam meg, hogy elolvastam. A legalapabb dolgokat átadta, de nem ad biztos tudást az olvasónak. Bevezetőnek ajánlom maximum.

only wanted to read for the history of Astrology and to understand the different houses and the sun/moon/rising etc. meanings. only read those parts, so the first 25%. the remaining 75% is breaking down each sign and mostly stereotypes/repetitive so only skimmed through that. overall still didn’t think the history and birth chart explanation was all that great, will probably find another better book to learn from instead

Boring and outdated. The use of the term "Mohammedan" is offensive and surprising for a book published in 2017. The lofty "explanation" of how to build a birth chart using tons of tools is also absurd, because it's super easy to google. This doesn't provide any new information that you can't get in a better form in a thousand other books.

Ez a rövid könyvecske a kezdőknek ajánlott, volt pár dolog, aminél azt éreztem, hogy igen, most értettem meg, hogy hogyan is lehet kikalkulálni csak egy pillantással a chartból. Nem csak a 12 jegyet mutatja be viszonylag részletesen, hanem a bolygókat, a házakat is, illetve az egyes elemek jellemzőit.
