It was 1880 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma In 1880 a female was supposed to be a lady and sit in the house all day reading or doing what was considered female things. This was fine for most women and thoughts of anything else to be scandalous. But what happens when you find a female that can ride and work a cattle ranch just a well, if not better than most men. A female that can be considered an animal whisperer, not just a horse whisperer. What do you have when one can tame the wild horse or a wild bull just the same? What you have is a seventeen-year-old female by the name of Kathleen Vandermile. All of about 5’4” and weighing 100 lbs. soaking wet. She is as stubborn as the jack’s she uses to defend her cattle and as pretty as the sunset. But to Cole Jenkins, she is the only woman for him. She stole his heart the first day he laid eyes on her, now he just must find a way to steal hers.
This is a clean sweet western romance full of love, fun, and some heart break. Don’t despair, it has a happily ever after (after all is said and done).
I really enjoyed this set of books.. the Read line is simply, and i would not hesitate to recommend to any young Adult.. the contents are easy to follow. less about sex (and i love this). Each book follows the last. i like that a lot. set in the old west. You will find the men are Real men, Brought up with manners, values, and high morals.. The woman Brought up to expect being treated as Ladies, and Rough as the men.. Great Reads.10 plus stars.
This is a very good read. It is a sweet historical romance. It is circa 1880 and in Oklahoma. It is about a young girl that would rather be out with the cattle and horses than to sit in the house being a lady as her Father would like for her to be. I recommend this book for you want a good clean read.
