This was a readable translation, and my first time approaching the text. The after-materials provide interesting color on how the Qur'an has been interpreted and used in various contexts.

Great choice for a first time Qur'an reader. Helpful introductions to the important suras are supplemented by the footnotes provided throughout this clear English translation.
