The Bed We Made
Niecey, a discontented wife, goes on a vengeful mission seeking a man, any man, a stranger to give herself to for one night. Just to give her cheating husband a dose of how it feels. The connection and unquestionable sexual chemistry between them turns their reunion into an ongoing carnal affair. However, things take a turn in a direction Niecey wasn’t intending. The bed has been made… Neither can contend the interdependence that exists between them. Succumbing to its power, they can no longer deny love’s right to live. This one killed me… i walk away so frustrated! That ending was so wrong, then to leave me on a semi cliffhanger, promise another book and nothing… I have so many unanswered questions. So much of the sex could have been left out to close this book out right. I’m so annoyed!

OMG....IVY SYMONE why you do me like this.... I'm in my feelings...Not to give anything away, but I wasn't expecting that ending.
Now that I have that out of the way. This read was "out of the box" good. A bit taboo, but an awesome read all the same. I am eager and ready to know what happens next.

Maybe this story was just not what I was looking for at the moment but I ended up skipping from the 60% mark all the way to the 95% mark to get to "the good part". Just like anybody else, I like a nice sex scene; however, I dont want to read 5 pages per sex scene. I get it, they had sex, ALOT....but Im over it. Thats not all I want to read about! Sometimes I feel that authors fill pages of books with lots of sex scenes as "fillers". Im sure there could be more content to put in place of all the sex. The book has a sad yet interesting end. I gave it two stars

I really needed more
First of all I'm definitely a fan of Ivy Simone however this is the first book I've read by her where I felt completely unfilled by the end of the story . The entire time I read this book I found myself waiting for something climactic to happen. Unfortunately it never came. The book was well written but characters never seemed to develop. I hope that as Ivy continues to grow these characters she incorporates more of the suspense, anticipation and intrigue that is typical with Ivy most of her writings.

I really enjoyed this book but I'm hella mad she killed who she killed. That's the only reason I gave it 3 stars. I really wanted a somewhat happy ending.

Ivy Symone's beast of a pen, guided by her phenomenally creative mind, has written another unbeatable storyline. I am so gosh darned tired of trying not to be repetitive in my reviews of her books. It is so darned hard to try to relate to other readers the emotional pull she generates each and every time she releases another diamond. Her diamonds are not hidden in the ruff either - HER ISH IS ALWAYS FRONT AND CENTER!
Ivy Symone is not one to lead from the back - she has established herself as the leader of the pack! Other authors will find it a very, very, very hard task to wrest her tenacious hold on the title of "Queen of Urban Erotica"! I have run out is superlatives to describe this woman's writing style. I have already used innovative, imaginative, inventive, original, expressive, inspired! What more can be added to say she is the best at her craft??!! She writes to create a vibe which will definitely rock your world. She is kicking buts and taking no prisoners. Nothing can hold her back. She has been unleashed into the universe and her writing genius has not run into anyone who can attempt to equal her.
Asadullah Bukhari Crawford, a/k/a "AB The Lion", will set your soul on fire! What a love to last through decades. I was rooting for him from the very beginning. The object of his affection, Shaneice a/k/a Niecey - not so much. I found her indecisiveness to be draining for someone her age. True love staring right in her face and she's holding onto a love that never knew fresh air.
I will not give away any more of this great story. Just download and buckle your seat belts. Ms. Ivy Symone has struck gold once again. It appears that her gold strike is bottomless. There is no end to the riches she produces via the ingenuity of her golden pen. Ivy, you surely need to clone yourself, because just one of you cannot write fast enough to satisfy my voracious reader's appetite; I am sure that sentiment is shared throughout your numberless fan base. That's all I can say is yep. I'm not go believe what I just read. There has to be a twist somewhere. I can't grow to love them and like that and this just happens, nope nope nope. This is my fave author she can't do me like this.

My favorite author. O how I love her work. She writes such good lengthy book. This book was deff an emotional rollercoaster. My feelings are all over the place with this one.

Whew. The back & forth was a little exhausting. But whew that AB ain’t nothing to be played with. I’m upset with the ending. And it sucks not knowing that we for sure are getting another part.

What The Heck!!!
Niecey was married to Tavion a serial cheater. After he had a child with another woman, Niecey finally called it quits. Tavion's nephew Asad was a powerful and ruthless man of the streets, and he loved Niecey.. Like really loved Niecey. The story takes on a whole new life when its revealed that Niecey and Asad had a thing for one another for several years. About midway into the story it gets really feisty... Tavion's dirty deeds finally caught up with him and Niecey chose to go her own way... The story had so many plot twists, in atypical Ivy Simone style. A reader had to pay attention or she'll throw a curve ball and you'll get hit in the head, if you're not watching. The crew in the story had some unique names. Wu, Ditto, Zino, Shay Elyse, Tam, Terri, and a few others.. The story had me in my feeling a few times.. No spoiler, but the ending had me a little upset... I wanted more and a different outcome, but its one heck of a read...

Why Ivy?
Why must you send me on such an emotional rollercoaster? I loved me some Asad and Nene! Asad is beyond crazy but the heart wants what the heart wants. Tam & Elyse are some true friends but that Shay..??? Yea... She can catch this fade! Tavion deserved everything he got and I'll just leave that right there. Even though some reviews have the book away they didn't ruin the book because I read it as if I didn't know what was going to happen. I'm hoping the next installment gives Asad a happier ending! Great job Ivy!!!!

This book was just crazy it had my eyes staring at my phone I don't know why tavion just couldn't move on he was a liar and cheater like he needed to just removed himself out of the book. Nene and Asad lord love some of them was shocked to find o u r nene secret was not expecting that I kind of sad how the book ended I didn't want her to leave like she did. Will be reading part 2 when it comes

Great Ending
Another great read! I was not expecting the ending to go as it did, but it made the book that much more interesting. I really enjoyed reading Nene and Asad's story. The sex scenes were hot and steamy. I like that Asad loved Nene since he was little. Yet, I did feel like he would have cheated as time progressed because she would be too old. So it was good the ending ended the way it did. I thought Aiko was cute. I wanted Tavion and Sheila to be found out. Tavion was a mess. He could do his dirt but did not want the dirt done back to him...typical man. Love loved this book.

Disappointed!
This is my first time reading anything by this author. I was slowly getting into this book. When I finally did, SHE KILLED ONE OF THE MAIN CHARACTERS! I'm so hurt and disappointed. I hope there is a part 2 somewhere that can compensate for this loss. My head hurts. I really dont want to read anything anymore. I'm over here like, WTH! Did you have to do it like that Ivy? Did you have.....to.....do.....it.....like.....that?

Greatly emotional
Ivy has given us another banger, but this had my emotions everywhere. This story made you feel like you actually knew the characters and it was very realistic. It left me heartbroken and crying for a while, i definitely cant wait for part 2. Thank you Ivy for such entertaining, emotional work.

Truly a fantastic read
I don't what I expected, but I was blown away. I love it the most when an ending catches me off guard.
I think I fell in love with the Lion and Nene, and how the loved each other.
Talk about a page turner, I couldn't put the book down, I just hope there is a sequel.

I'm not sure if I liked this book as much. It was a draw out storyline. I did not care for the ending or the fate of Nene. Although the story was ok, I will hope there is more in the sequel - if there is one.

This was a pretty good read... This is the first book that I have read by this author and I can say that I think I may have found a new author that I like... She definitely has talent... This book definitely keep me reading... Love the storyline and the build up... Had me in my feelings a lot and talking to the book... Each character had a purpose... And man how it all played out... The only downside to this book is it had to much over detailing with the description of how someone is dressed or how a place looks... To me this becomes boring... I get the author really wants us to visualize how this person is dressed or a place looks but to much is a big downfall... To me it stops the flow of the book kind of like a commercial... It is like everything is going real good and building up them boom detailing... so the storyline has to stop... I don't mind detailing just just make it simple to give me an idea of how a person is dressed or how a place looks... Also some information was a little off from the build up to the secret reveal... Other than that I absolutely loved the writing style of this author...
I love Niecey but I also feel like she is to nice... She is so sweet and loving... Yet she puts to much of this into a no good man... And treats a great man like nothing... I mean I kind of get the conflict... But come on... And she has some pretty good women in her corner but again she is to nice to some... She turns her head when someone that is not worth it treats her wrong... But when someone does things unintentionally and they are good to her she treats them so bad... So with her I go back and forth on what I want to happen with her...
As for AB... I absolutely LOVE him... He is the man and definitely worth fighting for... But the woman he wants keeps putting up a fight and playing tug of war with his heart... I hate the way that he treats other women overall... But I guess because they accept it just to be in his presence he believes that it is okay... They do not demand respect so why should he give them anything else but what they are asking for and that is sex and money...
I can not stand Tavion and how he treats Niecey... I mean he has this great woman that absolutely loves him and he keeps doing this to her... Then this was the show stopper... Even after all of this he did not know how to get it together... But again Niecey allowed this so why should he change right... And nothing has really changed so hey... But he really has his nerve with the way he acts when he thinks that Niecey is doing something... I guess his guilty conscience was really taking a toll on him...
Then we have Niecey's friends Elyse, Tam and Shay... There is a lot going on with this group of women... The question is can all of them be trusted... Tam is the only other one besides Niecey that is married... But you can't tell her that... I just say keep an eye on these women...

They say once you make your bed, you have to lie in it. That's just what Niecey aka Nene has to do and so does Asad. A love considered taboo for some but normal for them, Nene and Asad have their own bubble to fall into. But when old skeletons can't stay buried and revenge is too sweet to resist, will their love survive?
I'm so in my feelings about this book; I think this is one of thee best books I've read and that's saying a lot because I've read some stellar books thus far! Gad, I don't know how to recover from this book: I have been so consumed with Asad and Nene's story to the point of not sleeping or working. The storyline is one of the most unique I have come across and it's nothing I've seen out there which says a lot because there isn't anything not found under the sun in terms of tropes. But this, wow...it broke the mold. The pacing was superb and the highs and lulls were timed to perfection. There was never a dull moment and the drama was just all consuming and left me so anxious!!! Symone writes the words so vividly (at times too vivid for me to handle) it's like the story jumps out at you and the fact it is written in first person, present tense, lort. It was basically like reading in the 3-D!
These characters were so relatable and distinct, you would never be able to forget them! Asad is THE man, you hear me!? His rough exterior in the underworld mingled with his softened core for his Nene is so refreshing. It's almost like two characters in one! I have never read about a character like Asad, never! He just did it for me: rough, cutthroat, rugged and just fine beyond compare! And Niecey was just the right one to tame him. The author's description of Nene is so ethereal: her natural beauty and loving warm spirit works wonders on calming the 'lion' in Asad. Their chemistry was undeniable and their passion just had me crossing my legs: gaddddd, that man could tear it UP, whew! Listen, I needed a drink with some of these scenes....mmmp!
Additionally, I can't NOT mention the side characters!! If you have read Stay (another 5 star read), then you will remember some of the crew which added so much to plot progression. I loved the comradery among the men and the girls had me rolling in laughter! Especially that Tam, lort she is a mess and a half!
Symone does a great job in writing this as a standalone and I appreciated the fact that it doesn't end on a cliffhanger. However, conflict resolution is needed based on a series of events that took place. I prayed when I got to the end I would see something to suggest a part 2, but I'm happy I'll get to hear more from some of these characters in another book...hopefully in the near future!
