This book is a United Methodist Women Mission U study book. It focuses on the Alaska Missionary Conference, the Red Bird (Appalachia) Mission Conference, and the Oklahoma Indian Missionary Conference. Geography, politics, churches, and racism have all influenced the presence and ministry of the Methodist Church in these areas of the United States. Sadly, these conferences and others are still dealing with the same issues in various ways. It certainly gives the reader something on which to think and take action to improve.
