Walk Think Write: Midlife Passages On Oregon's Pacific Crest Trail

Rate this book
It can be said that adventure and discovery is what pulls hikers out on the long trails, and that is true, but make no mistake, there is some escapism going on as well. To spend some time on the trail is to seek refuge from everything that normally demands our attention. the trail provides an opportunity to think about other things. At the core of every hiker’s soul is an inward journey. Every hiker has his or her own reason to be out there, and their own story to tell. Here’s mine.

Short & sweet, simple yet profound- Jon Tullis's account of hiking the Oregon section of the PCT brought both a window into an intimate experience with this sacred land we call home, and also insight into his own personal life experiences that offers much to the reader, wherever they may be on life's journey. I imagined I would have found the book enjoyable even without knowing Tullis and his family, and I recommend it to anyone with a love for the outdoors.
