This review concerns only Retrosexual by Ainsley Booth and Sadie Haller
Dear Lord, if this what a Retrosexual is, I'll pick one up, amongst other men, any day of the week!!!!
Ainsley and Sadie had already created one of my favorite series, Frisky Beavers, and I enjoyed every single word of the previous installments, but this one, wow, it was the perfect -surprise -complement for Prime Minister and Bad Boy Doctor!
“He was a hipster, not a metrosexual.”
“How am I supposed to know the difference? Suddenly the music I listen to is retro. What the fuck?”
I laugh harder. “You're like the opposite of a metrosexual. You’re a retrosexual.”
Who knew that behind the apparently uptight and straight laced, chief of staff, Steward was a deliciously dominant alpha?! I sure didn't, so couldn't be more surprised with this dirty and HOT side that he reserved for his wife only.
“Jesus, yes. Stew. God. I’m coming!”
I thrust again, losing myself inside her pussy.

These ladies really topped it up by giving us a very realistic and touching -in more ways than one (*wink, wink*) - view inside a marked for more than twenty five years couple, approaching with heartfelt sensitivity issues like work, family balance, and a couples' mature and long lasting love inside and outside the bedroom. It was incredible!
“Although the real Stew has some advantages over his younger self. He’s way more patient than he used to be. He knows my body better.”
Adrienne was an equally incredible character, - and I'm sure her thoughts will hit close to home to a lot of readers - strong, beautiful and smart. Her maturity, serenity and loyalty to her husband blew me away. As for Stew, even with his struggles to balance work and home life, couldn't have been more perfect! And when he revealed his inner dominant... Melted on the spot! No wonder Adrienne's endless love and loyalty to her husband! She's one lucky lady! As is he, a lucky man! They were indeed perfect together!
Retrosexual was a short, super sexy and heart touching read! It gave us a little extra taste into Ainsley Booth and Sadie Haller's talented and über sexy - or better yet, scorchingly HOT - writing! Perfect appetizer for the upcoming Full Mountie! I can't wait for Lachlan, Betty and Hugh!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

I read Retrosexual by Ainsley Booth & Sadie Haller
Spend a fun and sexy weekend away with Stew and Adrienne. He’s a busy man these days and his family is suffering for it; but what’s worse is not only does he miss his family, he misses his partner/wife Adrienne the most: his better half in all ways. So when she drops the kids off at her sister’s and announces that she needs a weekend to regroup and refocus, he does what any adoring husband would do. He crashes it in the most delicious ways. This is a short and sweet read with all the trademark fire that the Frisky Beaver world fans adore!

This is a great collection of romance stories that feature characters who are a little more mature. It's a refreshing change to read stories that feature characters a little closer to my age, that know who they are and what they want.
I really enjoyed all the stories in this collection, they are definitely worth reading. Two stories that caught my attention were the Billionaire's Blind Date by Violet Vaughn. I really like these characters and enjoyed reading their journey. The story quickly drew me in and had me wanting to know what was going to happen next.
The other story that really captivated my attention was Silver Wings - A Second Chance to Soar by Keriann McKenna. This story was so many things, sweet, sexy, fun and laugh-out-loud funny. I was laughing so much at one point my husband stopped what he was doing to come see what I was laughing at. I really adored these characters. This is the first story by this author I've read and it won't be my last.

Collection of books about Hot Silver Foxes.
1. Crazy for Cole - the hot hockey player owns a restaurant with 2 other former players.. When his mother keeps pushing him to get a girlfriend, he fakes a romance with his executive chef. What happens when he starts having real feelings? Totally 4 stars.. Can't wait to see if they get more of a storyline although there is a hint about an epilogue
2. The Billionaire's Blind Date. - Diana has handed her business down to her daughters and agrees to a blind date. When her blind date stands her up another gentleman asks her to help him get away from a crazy woman. What happens when you find out the blind date is that same gentleman and he just didn't want you to know? 3 stars - for such a brilliant business woman she was totally clueless on who Charlie was..
3. Silver Wings - A Second Chance to Soar - Cute whirlwhind story.. Carolyn is flying to Denver for her daughters wedding.. When she is picked up by a private plane, the pilot Arthur becomes more than just her pilot.. They are both smitten right away but will this be more than a week long fling? 3.5 stars Liked the story but it was super rushed.
4. The Prince and the Player - Carolina had a fling when she was younger but hid it from her family.. Her family married her off to a prince and when he unexpectedly died years later Carolina was just going through motions.. Until the day she runs into her old fling and and all the feelings are right back there. Can they rekindle this lost love? 4 stars. What a great storyline of finding your lost love again and seeing what can happen. Would like to read the other characters stories
5. Lucky Me - 4 stars! I fell in love with Diane and Ford. What a fun story of rekindled love and finding out that things didn't happen as you thought they did all those years ago.
6. Retrosexual - 4 stars! wow.. What a great marriage story.. Stew works for the Prime Minister and seems to always be putting work first. Adrienne is dealing with the kids and her husband never being home so decides she needs a weekend getaway. Stew surprises her and shows up where she is.. This is what a marriage is like.. Great read and look forward to reading more stories in this series.
7. An Ordinary hero.. 3.5 stars! This is a story of a teacher and student, 10 years later.. The feelings still there but can it really work.. Just as the storyline was picking up and getting good it ended. Will have to read book 2 to see what happens
8. Sanctuary lake. 4 stars! This is a story of old flames who keep coming back to each other but never giving it a true shot. Aiden loves Kayla always has but his life has not always been kind to him. Kayla loves Aiden but she never gave it a chance. Now Kayla needs him more than ever, will he be there for her? This story was full of everything. Look forward to reading more

The Billionaires Blind Date - Diana and Charlie are so much fun together. Charlie is the bad boy who grew up and did well. AND he can cook. Diana is trying to find herself after trying to be a country club billionaire.
Crazy For Cole - Fedora is fun and sassy, and strong with a couple dents I was hoping for a little more interaction between Cole and his friends, but there really wasn’t time with everything else going on in the book (I don’t mean this in a bad way). But really, Cole’s Mom was the highlight of the entire book! Can I be her when I grow up?
Silver Wings ~ A Second Chance to Soar - a sweet and innocent story, with a really funny moment in the middle.
The Princess and the Player - I really like the way this story developed for most of the book, but the ending felt rushed. Like the author can out of time and or word count. This was disappointing being the beginning was so well written. Would love to see this rewritten with more content.
Lucky Me - This was a good one. Young loves finds each other 30 years later. Characters were great and stayed true to form through the whole book. This was a quick read, but a good one.
Retrosexual - I loved this story. Immediately after reading it I purchased the next book in the series. A different plot than most romance stories, a husband and wife that love each other and there is no disaster for them to overcome, just a struggle to make sure the other knows how much they're loved.
An Ordinary Hero - This story had the potential to be very good, but it ends in a cliff hanger so you have no idea what happens next to the characters. I absolutely HATE books like that, and I'm pissed it didn't have a warning about that at the beginning. Any interest I had in reading something else by this author is gone.
Promise Me - This was a great story from beginning to end. It flowed really well, both characters were likable. It made this an easy and enjoyable read.

This anthology proves that love isn't just for the young. I enjoyed these romances where older people don't let age stop them having love and romance in their life. I especially enjoy the Princess and The Player by Jennifer Lewis. Carolina Leone sacrificed the love of Amadou Khadem for a royal marriage. Now he's a successful musician and she's a widow. Can their chance meeting rekindle their romance? Lina is a woman who loves her family and will never be reckless. I was glad that she finally took a chance. She deserves love and happiness and Amadou is the man who can give it to her. I fell for him. He's a loving, caring man who has the courage to do what's right. Jennifer Lewis is always a must buy for me. I love her romantic stories and I'm enjoying the Royal House of Leone series. I enjoyed The Billionaire's Blind Date by Violet Vaughn. I enjoyed her characters, their passion and the flirty dialogue. Their attraction resulted in Diana Russo changing her life and finding love and happiness. Charlie Piece is mischievous and charming. It was fun watching him show Diana how to enjoy new experiences, but as in real life their path to a HEA wasn't easy. I enjoyed all these stories. It was nice that these authors understood that growing older doesn't mean love and passion aren't possible. I enjoyed each and every story.

As you grow up and add years to your personal story, some think you set aside "desire": desire for romance, desire for fantasy, desire for the "feels". You don't. Another little secret? Women in their mid-life (40s to 60s, but don't let the upper number limit you) probably enjoy sex more than those in their 20s to 30s...and have more experience...and more time for it...and more energy...and a greater libido. There's a biological explanation behind the "cougar" label. I love the idea of an Anthology of stories devoted to this age group...an Anthology of stories reflecting my experiences, my desires, my fantasies. I've sampled all the stories and each has a different feel and focus: married fantasy rekindling desire, a retiree looking for a life beyond work, a divorcee finding a new passion in life and love with an ex from her youth...one she isn't sure she should forgive...and more. These are real stories about real women finding real passion with real men. I pre-ordered "Hot Silver Nights" after receiving an ARC of Ainsley Booth/Sadie Haller's "Retrosexual", a novella related to their current series. I fell in love with this because it's about a married woman grabbing a bit of time off from her family and husband to find a bit of her old self during a weekend away...and no cheating, I promise. I love the hot, sweet, slutty breakaway this mom gets...if you've been married "forever" and are the person who has to "take care of everything", you'll get it. I have an obsession with Anthologies; I especially love this one. It includes favorite authors of mine and introduces me to new ones, all for the price of what one novella usually costs. A hot, sweet, slutty break on a snowy winter's day. I'm totally down with this.

I am a big fan of anthologies, I love finding new author mixed in with ones I already enjoy. Make it about a group of folks of a certain age and I'm all in! I thoroughly enjoyed this book, some more than others but all worthy of a read, for sure! I'm especially a fan of Natasha Moore's entry, LUCKY ME - that one is easily 4 stars. Diane and Ford were high school sweethearts back in the day and now, many years and separate families later, they find each other and discover a trusted best friend did them dirty all those years ago. What could've been strikes a poignant tone, especially since they had happy lives and made lovely children while they were apart.
Other books of note in this anthology are: The Billionaire's Blind Date, Retrosexual, Crazy for Cole and the Princess & the Player.
I have to note, Silver Wings wasn't my favorite but I did appreciate the lube talk, very, very much!

Stew, his wife Adrienne and their children have a huge adjustment to make due to Stew's new job as PA to the Prime Minister. Long days in the office turn into long working nights for Stew and it's annoying Adrienne. So much so that she takes a weekend alone to pamper herself.

This is a great new novella from Sadie Heller and Ainsley Booth. Although it references a book (prime minister) in the frisky beavers series it can absolutely be read as a standalone. In fact the timeline of this one coincides with the start of PM and I loved having some of backstory. If a story unfolds in such a way that the reader can picture, vividly, the characters, the scenes and if the story stays with you long after you finish the book in my opinion it is a job well done. This was my experience with the two previous books in the series and Retrosexual is no exception. I had an idea of what Stew looked like and what his family life was from reading PM and in this story he becomes even more prominent, essential and SEXY. The character of his wife, Adrienne, is so well developed and I hope we see more of her in futur books. Loved the romance.

This is a review of Retrosexual by Ainsley Booth and Sadie Haller. This is a part of their seriously HOT Frisky Beavers series, but you don't need to have read the other books to enjoy this one (although I highly recommend you check that series out).
Stew is the Prime Minister's Chief of Staff and Adrienne is his faithful wife. She's feeling a bit neglected and needs some time away from the kids and hubby so she heads to Toronto for the weekend. Her sister takes the kids and Stew is busy working. She's ready to have a fabulous weekend away to recharge however as soon as she gets there she starts to miss them.
She starts to go out shopping when she gets a ticket to a rock concert that night. The opening act is The Replacements who were her first rock concert. She calls Stew to thank him but he says it wasn't him. She buys super tight clothes and heads to the concert. As she starts to get into the music, a man comes up behind her and grabs her hip. When she swings around to say something, she sees Stew. Stew has realized that he's been neglecting his wife too much lately and decided to surprise her on her weekend getaway. Stew's seduction is seriously HOT and just what Adrienne needs to recharge. By the time they get home, they're still trying to sneak in a few more sexy minutes together. How sexy is it that this man continues to keep her excited and anticipating a night of fun even on the train ride home. She can't wait to get back to their place and be with him again.

When Adrienne decides to have a girls weekend in the city, Stew cooks up a sweet scheme to surprise his wife. For an "old" guy, he's got some smooth moves!
I love Booth and Haller's writing style and was super excited to see this novella about the Prime Minister's chief of staff! In a short span of time, the authors captured the frustration many couples face juggling home, kids and work, with little to no time for themselves as a couple. I thought Stew's gesture to Adrienne-during her weekend out-was thoughtful and all kinds of seriously sexy! It showed a man who was confident and trusting of his wife, himself, and his marriage, leaving no doubt how he keeps the fires going in their 20+ year marriage!
If you haven't read the Frisky Beaver series, I highly recommend them! Retrosexual would be an easy place to start because 1) its a short story and 2)it focuses on Adrienne and Stew with brief mentions of the P.M. and easily reads as a stand alone. Prime Minister and Doctor Bad Boy fall in the erotica category but also tell a good story. I'm counting the days until Full Mountie releases because Lachlan has got some serious explaining to do!

Retrosexual takes place prior to Gavin and Ellie meeting. Stew is the Chief of Staff who is working long hours with the PM of Canada. These long hours are taking their toll not only on him but his family. Adrienne is stressed at being a "single-parent" and takes a weekend off for herself. Stew has some surprises waiting though. I loved this story of rekindling the spark that brought Stew and Adrienne together in the first place. Passion and creativity is not just for young lovers!

Retrosexual - Sadie Haller & Ainsley Booth, this novella was such a great fun to read! Stew is the chief of staff of Canada's most sexy Prime Minister and is so busy that he is kind of neglecting this wife and family. A secret weekend with his wife is all they need to reconnect and start over the flame. I loved this novella and wish very hard to have a weekend like this myself.

This book was light, funny, and perfectly sexy. What I love most about Kate is that she brings a lot of wit and flirty sass to her writing. Her novels are a delight from start to finish. Her romances perfectly mix the sweetness of a new relationship with the spice of two mature adults who know what they want (and aren't afraid to ask for it). I highly recommend Crazy for Cole!

I loved this book. I was a sweet romantic novella that showcases both Stew and Adrienne and how they get their groove back. What was great with this book is that it goes along with the other books in the series without giving out any spoilers. It is overall just a great addition to the series.
Both Stew and Adrienne love each other but are dealing with the stress of raising a family and work. Their relationship was so realistic, not over the top, and just what I needed to put me in my happy place with out the over the top drama.
I voluntarily read this advanced review copy of this story and loved every second of it!

An awesome quick read, helping us get a better look at the PM’s chief of staff. Stew knows he works too much, but he is finally in a position to make positive change for the country. Unfortunately, that leaves his family missing him. When his wife has had enough of the lonely nights and the demands of their children, she plans an “Adrienne Time” weekend to recharge. Little does she know how much of a recharge she’s going to get! Highly recommend this book, and all the books in the series. This can be read as a very satisfying standalone, but you should read the whole Prime Minister series.
I had to jump right to Retrosexual, but now I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in this collection!

rcvd an advanced reader copy for voluntarily providing a review. luv luv luv the books my Ainsley and Sadie! We met Stew previously as the PMs trusty work sidekick. however, in this book we get to meet the man behind the job. Stew is a husband and father who spends wayyy to much time at work. Adrienne, his lovely wife knows his job is important but misses him too much. Adrienne decides that she needs a weekend away..kid and hubby free. Adrienne gets concert tickets mysteriously at the hotel for one of her fav bands. After a day of shopping, Adrienne goes to the concert to get hit on by a younger man...a good ego boost for her thats for sure. while dancing, hands grip her hips and when is is about to rip into the dude, she is mezmorized by the most handsome man she has ever seen....her husband. variety is the spice of life and Stew just made her night!!

I had the privilege of reading Retrosexual by Ainsley Booth and Sadie Haller. Stew has a stressful job working for the new prime minister and lately he is missing his game at home as a husband and father and that isn't what he wants his family to remember about him.
Adrienne loves her husband and understands all of the stress that he is under with his new position, but she misses her husband and the kids miss their father.
When it all finally catches up with Adrienne she plans a relaxing weekend away, but her first night out she is surprised by her husband and all that he has done in order for her to never forget how much he loves her and their family.

I loved Retrosexual Ainsley Booth and Sadie Haller. It was a fun quick read!

You don't get enough of a feel for Stew and Adrienne for me to give this 5 stars, but it is entertaining snippet of their life together

Stewart is the PM's Chief of Staff, a highly demanding job which puts a strain on the family. This is just at the beginning of Prime Minister when Gavin starts working with Ellie as an intern. Adrienne, Stew's wife, needs "me time" desperately and heads off for a weekend. Knowing his wife so well he does something incredibly sweet and romantic. Loved this story as a reminder there are plenty of ways to spice up a decades old marriage.
