Anarchy #2

Anarchy Missing: Alpha Case

Rate this book
"Even the bad guy deserves a happily ever after. The Alphas of Cathedral City are overflowing with sexy and it'll take a very special super woman to tame them. It's Deadpool meets Mr. Robot. With more sex, more fun, and of course--the trademark plot twists, dark undertone, and shocking ending that only JA Huss can deliver. If you've ever daydreamed about Iron Man's private parts or wondered if Batman has a secret "lair" for his special lady, then read this book."

Everyone wants justice.
That's what Assistant DA, Lulu Lightly, tells me. "Cathedral City needs you to set things right," she says. "To rid this place of corruption, once and for all."
I'd like to rid Lulu Lightly of her clothes. And maybe her moral superiority. But mostly her clothes.
"I want you to fight the good fight with me," she says.
Hell, yeah. I'm always up for a fight.
"We should stand up and be the voice of the people," she says.
Sure, I hear voices. Sometimes I even listen to them.
"Figure out what's good for the City and put it first," she says.
Oh, honey... what's good for the City is bad for the people. Trust me, I know. I'm Case Reider--insane Alpha, nefarious inventor, and I understand this town better than anyone.
Cathedral City needs me all right. Just not the way you think.
I'm not the justice you're looking for, Lulu Lightly.
I'm still the same villain you left behind.
Only now... there's something very, very wrong with me.

P.S. - If you haven't read book one, Anarchy Found, and you've alwayshad a secret fantasy to fuck Iron Man--well, here's your chance.

J.A. Huss never wanted to be a writer and she still dreams of that elusive career as an astronaut. She originally went to school to become an equine veterinarian but soon figured out they keep horrible hours and decided to go to grad school instead. That Ph.D wasn’t all it was cracked up to be (and she really sucked at the whole scientist thing), so she dropped out and got a M.S. in forensic toxicology just to get the whole thing over with as soon as possible.

After graduation she got a job with the state of Colorado as their one and only hog farm inspector and spent her days wandering the Eastern Plains shooting the shit with farmers. After a few years of that, she got bored. And since she was a homeschool mom and actually does love science, she decided to write science textbooks and make online classes for other homeschool moms. She wrote more than two hundred of those workbooks and was the number one publisher at the online homeschool store many times, but eventually she covered every science topic she could think of and ran out of shit to say.

So in 2012 she decided to write fiction instead. That year she released her first three books and started a career that would make her a New York Times bestseller and land her on the USA Today Bestseller’s List eighteen times in the next three years. Her books have sold millions of copies all over the world, the audio version of her semi-autobiographical book, Eighteen, was nominated for a Voice Arts Award and an Audie award in 2016 and 2017 respectively, her audiobook Mr. Perfect was nominated for a Voice Arts Award in 2017, and her book, Taking Turns, was nominated for an Audie Award in 2018. Johnathan McClain is her first (and only) writing partner and even though they are worlds apart in just about every way imaginable, it works.

She lives on a ranch in Central Colorado with her family.

Supervillains or Superheroes….well between the two, only JA Huss can pull off writing a story that will capture and hold your attention. With her stunning and vivid prose, Julie packs action, adventure, and futuristic elements into the mix in the second installment, Anarchy Missing. What drew me into this book was the character development of Case and Lulu. I love getting lost in a book where you see the growth of the characters and in such allows you to understand their reasoning and motivation. All there is left to say, this series definitely needs to be made into a Netflix series as this book blends elements of light and dark, friendship, romance, action and of course super alpha heroes.

First off, this cover is amazing! I would buy this book just for that cover alone. Great art work!

2nd, This book series NEEDS to be made into a tv series. HBO for sure. There is no way the content could go on any other channel, if you now what I mean.

The imagery just from the writing alone is spectacular. And the team...Lincoln, Case and Thomas, I can't decide who I like more. J.A. Huss has a talent for writing A-hole Alphas and making me love them. There is nothing better than a hero who's good, but oh so bad!

In Anarchy Missing, we get Case and Lulu's story. Ever since the ultimate showdown in book 1, Case has been feeling off. He knows there is something wrong with him but he's afraid he's going crazy. Sheila, Lincoln's AI program, keeps running tests and not finding anything wrong with him.

You know something big is about to go down but because of how good this author is, I never know what to expect. The endings of her books get me every time! What I wouldn't give for such an imagination as this author. Bring on Thomas' story!

I’ll read any genre, at least once because I love to read that much! And I never know when I’ll come across that amazing read or another genre that I just never knew I’d love. So, super heroes? I read comics when I was younger and watch movies with Iron Man, Super Man and any other hot man in tights, seriously, who wouldn’t? But, I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to get into a book about super heroes.

Well, like most things JA Huss, I loved it! The first book was amazing and this second one – AWESOME!! I know I sound like I’m on repeat but Julie Huss weaves such great tales, with lots of intrigue, good guys and gals, bad guys and at times, I’m like, WTF?

This is another great read and Julie leaves you wanting more, scratching your head trying to figure out why none of your theories panned out. This woman throws me for a loop every time and I wouldn’t want it any other way! This is a must!!

There is not much more that I can say about the writing ability of this author, for those who have fallen down the rabbit hole, YOU ALREADY KNOW THIS. Anarchy Missing is the second book in the Alpha series (Anarchy Found – book one), which features Alpha Case. Now picture the super hero you’d most want to bang – and imagine that someone decided to take all that action of a SH story put some sexy as sin screwing in it. If you were on the fence of rubbing one out to Iron Man, this series will push you over the edge.

AM is full of twisty surprises, sexy times - but what I loved the most is how freaking smart it is. There are all these little science-y nuggets and big words that mean nothing to me, so it made me feel like I could give the finger to anyone who says I just ready dirty smut.

I can’t wait for Thomas to get his book and I am holding out hope for a book four that will round out the series with Atticus. A must read for the #Fans.

Anarchy Missing is incredibly intense! Like wow - so much is happening in such a short time it's like I'm out of breath, and at the same time, I just want more!

Review - (un)Conventional Bookviews

It's not all that easy to pick an exact genre for Anarchy Missing, as there are some sci-fi or paranormal elements, and it's definitely urban, and its very hot. What else do you need to know, right? The overall plot didn't advance too much in this instalment, but the pace was fast, and the character interactions were intense and filled with danger. I loved Lulu, she's the kind of heroine I can get behind. She is strong, she is able to take a step back and try to see things form a different perspective. She is rational and intelligent. She's got street-smarts, too, and knows to trust her gut. Case, well, he was different from Anarchy Found, that's for sure. And if you've read that one (if not, you really, really should!) you kind of know why, too.

Thomas and Linc were very present in Anarchy Missing, as were Molly and Sheila. Sheila almost deserves her own book, virtual reality AI person that she is. I love her snarkiness, and how she can be in more than one place at the same time. And how loyal she is to her super alphas. And how suspicious she is to the women in their lives - at least until they prove themselves and get Sheila's loyalty as well.

The excitement in Anarchy Missing is so strong your heart will try to beat its way out of your chest. And you'll have so many different theories before you get to the end, and you still won't get it right. But you'll still have fun theorising, of course. And while there is a lot of tense feelings here, there is fun and romance, too. And I can just imagine a beautiful light show with hearts, spirals and artistic features that brings the heat ON!

Written in first person point of view, present tense, and from either Case or Lulu's perspectives, the story unfolds quickly, and I loved that Lulu and Case had a past together, and their getting to meet each other again made me swoon. Huss has done it again!

Fave Quotes - (un)Conventional Bookviews

I'd like to rid Lulu Lightly of her clothes. And maybe her moral superiority. but mostly her clothes.

Is that how it's supposed to work? Is the law malleable? Can you pound it into submission and shape it into anything you want like a piece of soft metal? God, I hope not. If this is the way it works - if this is how it is everywhere - then I made the wrong choice when I became a lawyer.

Randy takes care of checking in, then stands next to me as I ponder getting breakfast from a vending machine filled with brightly colored calories.

It's been awhile since I visited Cathedral City with its mountains and spires and corruption and... superheroes. Or are they supervillains? Whichever category they fall into, Huss had me falling for this next Alpha almost immediately - despite his valid concerns about his sanity.

Reading Anarchy Missing is akin to watching a Marvel movie - riveting and exciting from the get-go. I was immersed in this world from page one where we're able to see how our Alphas attain their uniqueness, watch them acquire their girl, and deal with a crisis... all they while planning for the thing that they're really intent on accomplishing. In Anarchy Missing we meet Lulu (I LOVE her name!!), someone Case was involved with years ago. She comes back to town with a purpose - that being Lady Justice. I adored Lulu. She's intelligent and strong, and even though she wants to serve up justice, she's not so hellbent on it that she can't look deeper - consider all sides. Case is this super-talented high-tech designer/developer. He's the same loyal guy we met in Anarchy Found, yet different. He still has strong feelings for Lulu but believes he isn't good for her - especially since he keeps having this feeling...that something is wrong with him. And there just might be.

All the Alphas are very present in this installment - banding together to figure out what the latest evil invading their city is. They can't be villains, can they?!? Molly and Sheila are also present which makes the story that much more gripping because the entire cast is well-developed - even AI Sheila - and that development along with the dynamics between them all gives the story more depth.

This world Huss has created with all its unique high-tech gadgetry and medicine, its evil villains and superheroes who might be supervillains is so entertaining and fascinating. Huss is still in the building phase and I'm hopefuly we get another Alpha book this year so we can get a better idea of where the Alphas are leading Cathedral City. Plus, I want to see Thomas get his girl. *wink*

Only Huss could take me out of my comfort zone genre-wise and make me grateful for the experience. I haven't gotten my paperback yet (book buying ban) but I'm hoping it has all the hand-drawn art to complete the comic book feel. The art was a real bonus in the first installment so I hope it's carried throughout. As for the story, there are questions, of course, but I know in the end all will be answered. And so I'll anxiously await my next trip to Cathedral City.

Awwwww!!!! It was good to have our Superheroes back!!

Things are about to change in Cathedral City.

And our favorite superheroes are front and center.

Another great read by JA Huss. She brings us to a whole new world filled with superheroes, villain's, talking holograms and adds in a whole lot of sexy. Are you ready for another crazy ride?

I couldn't put this book down and I couldn't wait to see what happened next. I can't wait for the next book.

Case and Lulu
Ok so this book had a lot more story which is what I liked. We get the full rounded picture of just how much it feels like the city against the three of them. We also see that someone is out to mess with the 3 guys. Pinning things on them they didn’t do. It is interesting that is for sure.

Case is going through something and he doesn’t feel like he can let the guys in. Lulu coming back into his life has been a good thing. It showed him that he isn’t alone and that maybe just maybe there is hope.

I have to say I like how he was pushing her away at one point because her mind was so made up he wasn’t willing to take the scraps.

Ok now the narration, I know unpopular opinion but Tad just doesn’t do it for me, 2 stars for narration for him sorry. I hated the voice he gave Lincoln. I hated the voice he gave Case at the end there. It felt over acted. I really enjoy Ava Erickson 5 stars for her narration, she did a fantastic job!

In Anarchy Missing, second installment of the Anarchy series, we explore Case and Lulu's story. I personally think it felt less intense than Lincoln's and Molly's. But it was also more psychological. There are ling monologues of Case, and I couldn't wait to see where all of this was leading. The ending felt a tad underwhelming, as their story was far from finished. I can't wait to hear Thomas' story, but I also hope we'll understand more about Case's past too.

It was a little bit of a wait for Anarchy Missing, the second installment of JA Huss' supervillians series but so so worth it. These books are great for anyone looking for something a little different from the usual romance novel. Case and Lulu are great characters and watching them get to their HFN was a fast paced thrill ride. Things happen fast in this book and if you blink you'll miss something and find yourself flipping back a few pages often. I think my heart still belongs to Lincoln from Anarchy Found but I'm really looking forward to learning more about Thomas in the next book.

I love J.A. Huss. I think I start every review for one of her books like this, but it is so true. I have not read a single book of hers that has not consumed me from the first word to the last. That woman has one very wicked mind that translates to some amazing stories. And I love every single one of them. But something about the Super Alpha series really stands out. Not sure if it’s because they are so different from what she normally writes, but I love them just the same.

In this series, JA is giving us not only the super alpha, like what I did there :), men she is known for, but they really are super-humans. Are they good? Are they evil? Does it really matter? What they really want is answers.

In this book, we get Lulu and Case’s story. Lulu was the best. She was do determined, independent and wanted to do good. She comes back to Cathedral City to make a difference. But there is something going on with Case. And they have a history together. With all the chaos, will they find a way to be together?

Seriously love Sheila. She is amazing all onto herself. And just love how she “cares” for her men. She is an amazing character in this story, given she is an AI. We also get to see more of Molly, Linc and Thomas. Together they make an amazing team.

This book was a great read. Fast-paced and entertaining. These characters are not perfect. They are actually really flawed, but so endearing as well! There is so much going from the beginning to the end. But in true JA Huss fashion, you never really know what is going on until the end. She brings this story to life for her readers. This is a different type of read compared to her normal stuff, but it is worth taking a chance on it. You will not regret it! A great read.

Happy reading!

OK look...I'll be honest, I've never been a superhero or sci-fi fan, I've always been a take it or leave it kind of girl when it comes to the genre. Enter JA Huss. She has been one of my 'go to' authors for a couple of years now and so a while back when she published the first book in the SuperAlpha series I said, "how can I go wrong, it's Julie"...I'll keep an open mind.

BOOM! Mind blown.

You need to start at the beginning (Anarchy Found) to fully understand these friends and their dark and dangerous mission, they're hell-bent on revenge and eliminating the evil and corruption in Cathedral City. They endured unspeakable personal torment in their 'school' days and they have a plan. But even superheroes need love and that adds a whole new dimension to these Super Alphas and their mission.

Cole and Lulu are the focus couple in this second book in the series and they have a sweet history. But there's something wrong with Cole and the 'change' is alarming. Getting them to their HEA/HFN was a fight...literally LOL.

This story is exactly the reason I read, it's delightfully entertaining. It's dark and chaotic, the action is fast paced and thrilling, the romance and sex add another layer to the story but by no means is the focus and the recurring characters share of bond you can't help but admire.

As I reflect, I think the reason I like superheroes is I'm happy when the 'good guys' win. I'm not completely sure our band of SuperAlphas are all good, and in some instances border on vigilantes, but sometimes bad is good. I'm all in, I can't wait to see what's next!

As part of the ARC team, I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

So I kind fell in love with these supervillans, I have never been one to read sci-fi-ish books but I will read anything that JA Huss puts out and this book perfectly explains why. This is the second book in her Anarchy series, and I recently re-read the first book just to get back into this series. I highly recommend reading them in order because book one has a huge impact one book two.
This is Case’s story and the only person he has ever loved in back in town but he may not be ready for LuLu yet. Although she doesn’t give him much a choice in the matter, she is unprepared for how much he has changed over the years. With things spiraling out of control all around them, will they be able to keep each other in the end??
Ok if you read my previous reviews of JA Huss’s books you will see me say that I continually love everything she writes and this book is no different. She catapults you into another world and has your mind spinning through the entire book. Once you read one of her books you will go back again and again to read everything. I highly recommend that you start reading this series now, so that you will be ready for the next book.

I am in love with this series.
Like seriously in love.
This is the kind of the rare series that you just pray to God that you stumble across it.
There has been so much that has been happening in this series and it's only two books down.
That's what I call a plot.
And even though, a lot of things are ambiguous and do not make complete sense at the moment because...JA Huss.
But I'm sure that at the end it will all come together in such an epic way that it will blow me away and leave me dead because...JA Huss.
And I mean that in the best way possible.
I loved the plot and loved Case. Loved him.
And though, Lulu was a little irritating in the beginning when she's being too stubborn but I liked her by the end.
The romance is oh-so-good.
Swoon worthy.
I just wanted a better epilogue.
Otherwise, a hit and hit.
Thank you, JA Huss! You're epic!

I really loved the first book, Anarchy Found. I've never thought I'd like books like these but I really love these. I find them to be really interesting, and J.A. Huss is the queen of interweaving fantastic stories together. I don't want yo say much about the story do I'll say if you like her other books why not give these a chance!

I'm so glad I didn't let my less than excited response to Anarchy Found keep me from continuing this series - Anarchy Missing was so much better! I think that the key was the characters. I like Lulu and Case SO MUCH better than Lincoln and Molly. Lincoln and Molly are ok, but their Sci-Fi aspects were a bit much for me. It kind of overwhelmed me, I guess and my the story a bit much.

But Lulu and Case are fairly normal. Lulu IS normal. She's an Assistant DA and she's just getting swept up into this mad world because of Case and a case (lol!) she's assigned. Case definitely has some weird shit going on, but nothing to the extent of Lincoln and he still came across as a mainly normal guy and their relationship felt more real and authentic because of it, I think.

The plot worked a bit more for me too. I could follow it better, perhaps in part because of the characters and also because I'm more familiar with the world already. Things aren't as shocking or confusing. I'm excited to see the full completion of their plan to take over the city and defeat prodigy, so I can't wait to read the next book.

Side note -- this book had more mention of Anarchy/Anarchists than Anarchy Found, and yet still, the mentions were quite minor. I'm not sure I get the connection and the titles of the books... I'm either missing something or I'll get it at the end.

Oh and I'm really missing the End of Book Shit from Julie... IDK if it's just missing from the audio or from these books completely? The narration is great though and I'm really glad I did these books in audio :)

LOVED!
I am JA Huss's biggest fan, I just know I am! When I find out a new book she's written is coming out I have my one-click finger on standby! Anarchy Missing is another winner.....HUGE WINNER.

This Anarchy series is full of super heroes and and their super ladies, and of course there has to be super villains. Sometimes it's hard to tell who's who in the zoo. In book 2, Anarchy Missing, Case Reider, to me, comes off as a more vulnerable and emotionally damaged hero than Lincoln, the hero in book 1. I was happy that Case had a strong female in Lulu to support him. The chemistry between them is sizzling hot, not to mention the illustrations throughout the book are ooo-la-la. Ummm hmmm.

As with all JA Huss series, this book was a perfect continuation of the plot that began in book one. We get more information of the history of the heroes and the diabolical evil they are up against. And as always there's just that twist at the end that left me thinking....JAH has done it again! What the heck is she up to now!!? And of course, EOBS, not to be missed. It gives the readers just a glimpse into the genius of how JAH comes up with some of her stories and teases her most ardent fans of what she has in store for us. And after reading this latest EOBS? Oh joy...heaven, I'm in heaven. So hmmmm, how do I rate this? What else but 5 stars!

I Want My Own Deep Cut

If you have not started the Anarchy Series go now and one click. I was not expecting Case to be so intense with Lincoln and Thomas, but I am not disappointed at all. LuLu could definitely hold her own with the crew and Shiela. I can't wait to learn more about the town she moved from and the entire time I was reading Anarchy Missing I was craving a cinnamon cappuccino, thanks Julie.

Case and Lulu, another couple with a past that get a second chance. They had a few months long ago and one picture perfect night before it was all taken away. Now years later, they are reunited but on opposite sides of the law. Doesn't stop them from falling in bed with one another upon their first meeting. They have a long hard road the get through to end up together on the other side.... and boy is it action packed! Again, full of twist and turns and lots of action. Narration was again, just perfect.

I am one of those girls that fell in love with Superman, Batman, Ironman, etc., etc. I love how they are a combination of good and evil. Well, Superman is all good, but you know what I mean. Their heart is virtuous, but their heads get confused sometimes so they deal with the internal struggle of how to deal with the evil around them and how to protect who and what they love. If you are like me when it comes to superheroes/supervillains, JA Huss’ Super Alpha series is for you.

Anarchy Missing -A Supervillain Romance is the second book in this series. I highly recommend that you read Anarchy Found first because it has important background information that explains some of the events in Anarchy Missing .

Anarchy Missing takes us back to the virtual reality world of Cathedral City. The world of our super heroes is largely controlled by evil. At this point, it isn’t really clear who is pulling the evil puppet strings. This book is a great continuation of our heroes’ story with Case the primary focus and how Blue Corp continues to wreak havoc on his life and the general population of Cathedral City.

LuLu Lightly (don’t you love her name) is a new addition to the players. She is Case’s first love and comes back to Cathedral City as the new Assistant DA. I guess this is a super villain, second chance romance—no wonder I love it so much. Right from the start Case remembers all his feelings for LuLu and she is feeling a lot of the same.

The core team is still together, Case, Linc, Thomas, Molly, and Sheila working to fight corruption and getting caught in the middle of all the mayhem. Case, Linc, and Thomas are metahumans (borrowing a DC Comic term). They are the products of experiments in their youth, and these men continue to enhance their gifts with Sheila’s help. Sheila is a super, super computer with artificial intelligence. I love her and her motherly love for the men in her charge.

Anarchy Missing is told from the dual points of view of Case and LuLu. They are both trying to resolve what is happening in the City. As the events unfold, we experience the romance, the betrayals, the confusions, and the fights. HOLY bits and bytes Sheila, I get a feeling of excitement rolling in my stomach as the anxiety builds to the climax. It’s advised that you start this book when you have some uninterrupted time because once you start, you won’t be able to put it down.

JA Huss does an excellent job creating a parallel universe with characters and events that I can see vividly as I read. Julie continues to amaze me with her enviable storytelling skills that bring the story to life. No one can ever say she creates cookie cover books or characters. Every story is different and captivating.

The most exciting part of Anarchy Missing , as if the super romance, hot antiheroes, superior technology, and a grand fight isn’t enough, there will be another book in the series. I am getting very attached to these characters and can’t wait to see what happens next. If you are like me and love dropping into a futuristic virtual world, you must read this book. It is well worth your time.

I was first introduced to this world early back in 2015 and I instantly fell in love with the exciting world and unique characters. Even though it has been a while in between books, I felt that I didn't get lost and was swept away in this fantastic world once again.

The characters in this series are well developed and bring their own individuality to the story, despite being connected most of their lives. Case has lived a difficult life, and will be forever linked to Lincoln and Thomas because of their shared pasts, and the plans they have for the future. Lulu is new to town and has an open mind being the new assistant DA.

Case and Lulu were fantastic together and I liked that they had history. They were forced together by their parents, when Lulu needed a partner for her Debutante Ball. They built a strong friendship and were attracted to one another. Even after all the time they'd spent apart I could see that their connection was still there. They were hot together and I could see that Lulu tried to have an open mind about Case and his life.

This was an exciting and action packed ride that I couldn't get enough of. The storyline had me thinking and I guessed how things were happening early on. But of course that's not the end of it, there's always the brains of the operation that needs to be brought down. J.A. Huss has shown me once again why she's the master of keeping me on edge and making me crave more of her work. I cannot wait to get the next book to see where things head next.

5 "You're my reason, Case." Stars

What can I say that hasn't already been said? This book is the second book in the SuperAlpha series. Here we get Case Reider (and any fan of JA Huss will see straight through this last name) and LuLu Lightly. Can I say that I'm already in love with Case. He was pretty awesome in Anarchy Found and he only gets better here.

Basically, the only thing I really, really want to get through to you is that you need to read this. YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK--but only after you've read book one or you'll be all confused and you don't want that.

This book is some weird sci-fi romance hybrid, but your alpha isn't necessarily the good guy. Oftentimes he is the very bad guy you were always told to run from. But this is a Huss book and I feel like she always makes us skeptical of her heroes. Well, ANTI-heroes. And I love her for it.

Read Anarchy Found, get Lincoln's story and then move on to Anarchy Missing. Case is totally worth the read.

Did I mention I read this in one sitting? No? Well, I did. And I don't regret losing out on that sleep at all.

Holy Balls!!!!! I can't even with the awesomeness that is Anarchy Missing. It was well worth the wait let me tell ya. JA Huss is a super GENIUS...I repeat super GENIUS!! My GOD did this book take you on a journey...a messed up, mind blowing, technology driven journey. I thought I loved Lincoln's story, ohhhh well I just fell in love with Case...like head over nanobots crazy in love with him. He is broken yet put together, he is sensitive yet has a hard exterior and the best part is he is so loyal. He is so controlled in all that he does, but with Lulu he loses all his control. For as many hard lines as he has he has just as many soft lines. This book is fast paced so you best pay attention so you don't get confused...I loved that this is like half sci-fi half romance and erotica...it brings another dimension and you never want the story to end. I am so looking forward to Thomas's story...I have a feeling it's going to be a GREAT one.

I listened to this book for a reading challenge I'm doing. As I mentioned in previous reviews, Julie finds the perfect narrators for the characters she creates. Ava Erickson, Tad Branson are the narrators for Anarchy Missing. I love what they bring to the story.

I am one of those girls that fell in love with Superman, Batman, Ironman, etc.

After several years, this story still touches me and remains five stars.

***
I love superheroes. I love a good fantasy. I love Case. I love LuLu Lightly. I love JA Huss' writing.

A must read for anyone who likes to get lost in a virtual reality world.

2.5-2.75 stars

I'm not sure how I feel about this one. I'm not a big fan of superhero/supervillain stories but the first book was a surprise. I do like the originality of the story (especially for the genre as I find superhero stories always follow the same formula) but it just wasn't for me. There wasn't enough of a connection between Lulu and Case and I didn't feel anything for their relationship.

Lulu returns to Cathedral City after a seven year absence to be the Assistant DA. Her and Case Reider share a past and when strange things are going on in the city Case and his friends are the prime suspects. Because of her past with Case, Lulu's boss wants her to get close to him so they can find out what's going on.

However the two of them still have unresolved feelings for the other, plus things get complicated when someone is out to destroy the city and put the blame on Case, Lincoln and Thomas.

Overall the book just wasn't for me. I liked the originality but I found other aspects lacking and I just didn't really like it all that much.

Another great book by JA Huss!

It's been a while since the first book, 'Anarchy Found' was released. So, I'd advise you either re-read that or go back to what you have bookmarked for a refresh.

That being said, 'Anarchy Missing' is book two in the series and it starts out where the last ended. With the group of Lincoln, Thomas, Case & Molly's take down of Blue Corp & the Blue Boar.

This time the story continues with Case Reider & his lady, Lulu Lightly. She's an Assistant DA that has returned to Cathedral City, and reconnects with Case who is dealing with a lot.

If you enjoy supervillains or superheros, romance, and action this is for you. It's fast paced & you won't want to put it down.

I love how JA plans out her stories. There is always a reason for everything, so she keeps your mind working(trying to guess at what's happening next).

P.S. I still find Sheila to be one of the better characters in this series

Another amazing read that kept me captivated from beginning to end. I absolutely loved Anarchy Found and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen in Anarchy Missing and I was not disappointed at all. I love reading about the super villains and what their plans are for Cathedral City. This story will have you reading in one sitting. I love Case & Lulu together, I loved every minute of reading this story and I can't wait to read the next in this series.
