Great horrors ahead!
An entertaining collection of short stories that border on the side of omg! That could really happen to no way that could happen! All true horror! Many with unexpected endings!
The Vegan sets the tone for this collection of dark and twisted horrors....Maggie Fran and her cat, Me Crazyhead jump into the fantasy of Maggie Fran's favorite TV show. Maggie Fran is annoyed because not only does her boyfriend complain about her favorite show, but now her cat does also! Her favorite detective can always find the bad guy because of his stinky smell...Maggie Fran is cheering on her favorite cop when there is suddenly a pounding on the front door. Suddenly she notices that after feeding her cat, he has a red mouth and there is a stinky smell in her house....who is the stinky criminal???
Here's another peek...The House...the viewpoint from the perspective of two young couples starting their lives together by moving into their new home. Only they are both moving into the same home....who will survive the battle? A surprising twist! Who will have the happy ending?
The Doll is based on many people's basic fear of technology taking over someone's life. In this story, a man merges his needs with technology, looking for the perfect woman. But because of his lack of understanding of artificial intelligence, his world takes on a new, frightening dark turn....
The Day is set in a place and time where humans and the magical interact. An average day for this cop is unlike any you or I would experience. Yet, he takes it all in stride. Trying to do his best and make good de idioms for the town...even if it costs him injuries. This day he has to deal with a mischievous nemeses of the local cops. Most just get mad and shoot the magical being who causes trouble and trauma every chance it can...even though it will just come back again. He gets a call about trouble at the pool hall. When he gets there, he sees his day is about to become even more challenging. It's a howler monkey! Will he be able to contain and outwit the monkey and restore order and peace? Or will he ha e to resort to mundane methods? And then The Shoveler is back.....will the cop survive the day or will the magical beings take the day?
The Conqueror....what starts out as the usual warrior, turned leader story quickly leads you into a tale of horror based on laser equipped mechanical spiders that are determined to kill but are caught up into a beautiful rose garden which hides lethal traps. Will Teddy save himself, his village and his love or will the Spider King win the day? Full of intrigue, futuristic weapons and enemies and in the end love.
This book of stories keeps your attention and also keeps you guessing right up to the last word! A Keeper!
