The people in these stories that are covered in this book had plans for their day. There were things that they were going to do, people that they were going to meet with. Their day was supposed to be like any other day.
However, their days did not end like any other day. By the end of the day, their families, their towns, and their schools would be searching for them. Many of those people even believing that their family or friend would return soon. However, the people that we learn about in this book never returned...
Most of the cases had no clues for the detectives to go off of and none of them were ever found. How is it possible that people can simply disappear and no evidence as to where they had gone, be found? How is it possible that so many people simply vanish and are never found even though people never stop searching?

Simplistic and Dull.
This short book contains some stories of missing persons. Several of the cases have been noted in books by other authors. I read a few in an edition by Roger P Mills. They were more interesting in his version, as he does far more research than Mr. Gregory does. The tone of this book is very simplistic as well. It's written in very basic terms like explaining something to a child. This was very oft putting for me. This type of book has been done much better by other authors. There are samples from other books by author Gregory, and one story in the murder series contains a mistake so glaring, I don't know why it wasn't fixed. The very well know case of actor Bob Crane from the Hogan's Heroes show has been noted before. It is said that his name in author Gregory's book is Bob Cane. I can't take an author seriously if you can't even get a famous person's name right.

I picked up two books by this author from my library because they were quite thin and therefore be easy reads, and although they only tell the basics, this one was quite enjoyable.
I wouldn’t suggest these if you want to further your knowledge on a case because they only have a few pages per missing person, but if you are looking for more cases to read about I’d suggest them. Although, if the nine cases, I had heard of five. Reading about the cases I had heard of though wasn’t boring.
Overall, a quick and easy read.

These stories always make me feel sad. I can't imagine carrying these burdens of not knowing what happened to your loved one. This batch included the story of Madeline McCann, the subject of a recently made for tv movie. Always pray that the lost get found.
