He’s a Nephilim. She’s a human. Or so she thinks...
Catherine’s nightmare of massive wolf-like beasts hunting her breaks through again and again. And long after she wakes, pain and heartbreak linger. Tormented by night and restless by day, she decides to blow off some steam with an old friend. Little does she know that such a simple outing will forever change her life. She discovers that witches and wizards exist, and the Cornish myths and legends of her childhood actually have a grain of truth.
Trent is a guardian of humans and peacekeeper of all the supernatural species. For almost 200 years he has waited for his Soul Pair. Finally, she is within his grasp. But a traitor in their midst threatens her safety and causes Trent to question himself. He has two choices. Put his duty as a Nephilim first or follow his instincts.
Bewitched by the Nephilim is the first instalment in a paranormal fantasy series. If you’re a fan of English banter and realistic characters, and like a little tension woven into your love stories, then you’ll love S.J Hosken’s Soul Pair series.
This book contains mild violence and adult language.
A small-town girl born and raised in Cornwall, where I still reside with my partner and our two young children. I'm addicted to chocolate, reading and coffee, though, not necessarily in that order. My fourth novel 'Overcoming Scars' is now available.
This was actually so much better than I anticipated, with a twist and a cliff hanger that has left me yearning for more and worried that I can't actually get my hands on the second book in this series! Whilst there was a LOT of info dumping, I didn't find myself getting bored of learning, and I found that Catherine had reasonable reactions to what was happening around her >spoiler< i.e when she first practiced magic and cried over how incredible it is I felt to be a really nice point of the book >/spoiler< A quick, easy, fun read with a steamy romance that I thoroughly enjoyed!

Read the reviews to this book and they were spot on!!!! I love this book and can't wait to finish this review so I can read part two! Fantasy and love, can't ask for anything better!!!
I started this book last night and have not only read this one but the second one aswell absolutely amazing was hooked from the beginning and cant wait for the third one to come out
It's a nice story and its not the first book about Nephilims and arch angels. But the story is very predictable. I liked the wit and cheeky responses from the characters.
I found that Catherine knowledge was not that impressed, I believe that anyone knows what a nephilim is and knows a bit about angels. Still she is a likeable character, could warn up to her. The speech and the monologues are good, and good detailed description to magic. The things I didn't like was the that no one actually checked out Jill why and what happened with her....anyone is sceptical but no one does a thing, same with Wesley and Lucinda, there are to many questions unanswered, I would have loved more information on what the HQ does bit insight on the fights and problems they facing. And of course more information on why Catherine is chased by all as well who is her father no insight or investigation are started. It could be a great storyline it's just lacking a bit more insight.
Not a bad book - I am always a little cautious on the first free book knowing it is going to end in a cliff hanger etc....this one I felt did not waste my time. The main character did have some flaws but not any gaping flaws. There are a few misspellings and word play that is incorrect but perhaps the author is from England? Just a few though so not too bad. I may actually buy the next book because I want to know what happens!
3.5 stars - sucked me right in. I warmed up to the style of writing as the book progressed but still struggled to connect with the characters. It just feels stilted, like I’m reading a first draft narrative. The story line is a very strong one but the execution lacks finesse. Overall though I will continue the series.
I didn't really connect with Catherine as a character albeit the we're a number of compelling supporting characters in the storyline. Felt the plot wasn't really crisp, almost as if the author was filling in gaps in the story with hastily added segues that make the book a bit clumsy.
I truly don't like it when reading an exceptionally well read book to come upon a cliffhanger!!! I didn't look before I got this book!! It's good but leaves you hanging!! I'm an avid reader and truly enjoy a fully read book!!! Chapters and all!!!
Great for teens and adults alike. No porn or smut, just crushing and a single hot 💋kiss so far. Little if no content error making reading it a joy. Suspenseful
Yes it's written with humour. But it's predictable and annoyingly short.and no I will not bother with the sequel. But it will probably suit others who enjoy this genre
