I really enjoyed this book. A very thought provoking take on religion and the origins of life. The action is also quite descriptive without going over the top (like Clancy novels can be). Lots of twists and turns in the plot, unexpected character development. The book was organized somewhat uniquely, the vocabulary is also fairly basic, but these aspects definitely do not detract from how entertaining this book is. If you're at interested in alien invasion, apocalyptic type stories, this book is a great take on those threads and I would even say "a must read."

I loved this book! Its a page turner that will keep you awake at nite! Very visual, down right scary at times, and you never knew what would happen next. Although very character driven, this was a roller coaster ride from start to finish. Hank, the hero, is a very human character, complete with flaws and self doubt. He tries to set in motion a paradigm of thought, but instead sets off a series of events he could not have foreseen. The book does make you ask yourself "What if . . ." What if history is not what we've been taught. What if there is an alien race out there interested in our progress. What if we, as humankind, were challenged in this way. Would we make it?
