Only Time: A Speculative Story

Rate this book
A million fireflies flew across his eyeballs as he heard what sounded like a giant bug zapper stuck on maximum zap. After what seemed an eternity, the fireflies began to dissolve away and the maddening sound with them. What remained was even more troubling. Silence. A lifetime of nothingness.
Elias’ only hope to escape the madness is a dead ringer for a famous movie star (minus the Wolverine claws), a Browncoat CPA, and a young woman who could take all of them without breaking a sweat. With the help of his newfound friends, Elias is determined to defy time and find where that road leads. Where she still is.
Part Twilight Zone, part Firefly, and all fun with a touch of melancholy bittersweet, Only Time is what's left when love has one more story to tell.
T.E. (Tim) George has lived many stories in life. Some have been joyous, some quite sad, and a few a bit thrilling. All of them make up the tapestry of what has made him the writer he is. Tim believes there is a bit of hero and villain in everyone. Good fiction illustrates that in a way that makes it impossible to not care about its characters with all their complications.
On a good day, Tim writes to the sound of reveille wafting over from The Center for Information Dominance (known locally as Corey Field) and often enjoys lunch along with the roar of the world famous Blue Angels practicing over his house. Tim, his wife, and their dog Auggie live within a few minutes of the sugar white beaches of Pensacola Beach, Florida. A writer only begins a book. A reader finishes it.  ~ Samuel Johnson

t.e. (Tim) George has seen and lived many stories in his life. Some joyous, some quite sad, but all a part of the tapestry that makes up who he is. Some say that an author should remove himself completely from his writing. However, no matter how entertaining a story is, an author cannot completely hide what he is. Tim believes there is bit of hero and villain in all of us. His fiction illustrates that in a way that makes it impossible to not care about his characters complications included.
