Elise Stokes lives with her husband and four children. She was an elementary school teacher before becoming a full-time mom. With a daughter in middle school and two in high school, Elise’s understanding of the challenges facing girls in that age range inspired her to create a series that will motivate girls to value individualism, courage, integrity, and intelligence. The stories in Cassidy Jones Adventures are fun and relatable, and a bit edgy without taking the reader uncomfortably out of bounds. Cassidy Jones and the Secret Formula, Cassidy Jones and Vulcan's Gift, Cassidy Jones and the Seventh Attendant, Cassidy Jones and the Luminous, and Cassidy Jones and the Eternal Flame are the first five books in the series.

My only complaint about this book is that it took WAY too long to come out (it's been about a year and a half since Book 3 came out)! So I was happy to see that Book 4 is already scheduled to come out in 2014... hopefully early 2014!!! ;)

In Book 3 we get a lot of Cassidy and Emery (yea!) - and a little more of Jared than we had in previous books! We get to know Emery's dad better, and at the end of the book we get a hint as to why Emery is so freakishly smart... I'm hoping that gets developed a lot more in Book 4!

I love this series - definitely one of my favorites! I love how Cassidy and Emery balance being normal teenagers with being freakish - without anyone knowing about their freakish side. And how they always have each other's back... Book 4 cannot come soon enough! ;)

100% clean -- Cassidy does finally get her first kiss in this book - sort of!

Cassidy Jones finds another mystery that needs to be solved.

Gavin Phillips, Emery's Dad, is that mystery.

Another exciting story, with great characters and a fast-moving plot.

Cassidy is the perfect protagonists. She cares for people, wanting to right any wrong and put away the evil people. What makes her different is, she can.

Funny, scary, exciting.

Reviewed on Lili Lost in a Book

While on a school trip to an Egyptian exhibit at a museum, Cassidy overhears a plan to rob the place. Even worse, she sees someone she knows, someone close. Cassidy and Emery make a plan to put stop to this, seeing as how they may have found a chip from his mother’s experiment. You know, the one that gave Cassidy her superpowers. Yeah.

Also, Emery’s “accountant” father is back in town. Cassidy has always been iffy about him. There’s more to this man than either Cassidy or Emery could ever imagine. And it’s not necessarily a good thing, what with his underlying dangerous streak that could pose a problem for them on their current mission.

Oh my gods, so many freaking plot twists, it was amazing! I just cannot believe all that happened! Gavin is certainly an interesting character--didn’t see anything coming until it was right on top of me! I always love it when a book takes me by surprise like that.

You know how in previous books, while superheroing, Cassidy has dressed up in some quite unorthodox costumes? You know, the ninja in the first book and then Bigfoot (no, I’m being serious) in the second? Well, in this one, Emery and Cassidy kick it up a notch and have her dress up as a mummy! To blend into her surroundings, obviously. It was incredibly hilarious! Everyone’s reactions to the “mummy...” *laughs*

I just love these fun costumes she wears in order to go kick some butt! I also love that they are different from book to book.

I know I already mentioned this in previous books, but I thought it would be worth mentioning again how much I ship Emery and Cassidy! Look, I know their relationship is platonic, and Cassidy is into Jared (who’s a nice guy, I’ll admit), but Emery! He’s very good at compartmentalizing so we rarely get to see what he’s really feeling. It’s infuriating! But his actions... he is just so sweet! I really do believe his feelings for Cassidy run deeper than he let's on (or maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part?) But, you know, Cassidy is so fixated on Jared. And I get that, I suppose. But, Emery, man!!

Pulling my face closer, Emery exhaled a warm, fragrant breath that swept up my nostrils, making me feel a little rummy. Smell affects me in crazy ways, and Emery smelled the way he looked: good.
“Every girl I know would be envious right now,” I told him.
“Look left,” he instructed.
“Of course, being looked at like I’m under a microscope sort of kills the romance.”
“What I observe under a microscope usually isn’t so chatty. Now look right. And if I were being romantic, this isn’t the way I would go about it.”

Also, we finally got to me the infamous Riley and her bounty hunters! And it was not what I was expecting (Cassidy was equally as surprised), but in a good way! I LOVED them! I can’t believe Emery has been keeping this bunch all to himself this whole time! Shame on you Emery! They were so fun and quirky! Really hoping we’ll get to see more of them in future books!

I think it goes without saying how much I am loving this series! It has an amazing cast of characters, insane plot twists, awesome superpowers, and equally awesome costumes! Overall, it was a great book! Highly recommend this series!

It took me a little bit to compose my thoughts on Cassidy's latest adventure. I'm Team Emery, but Stokes actually got me to like Jared in this book. I kept banging my head wondering why if Cassidy is so enamored by Emery, why is she still thinking about Jared? It hit me as I read a scene when Cassidy is talking to her friend. Cassidy doesn't believe Emery has those kind of feelings for her, so she keeps her feeling for Jared alive. With the other two books, we didn't seem to see too much of Jared or maybe I just didn't want to see him. This novel solidified the love triangle for me.

As for Cassidy's role in the Seventh Attendant, wow, it blew me away. Such a unique idea and it worked so well throughout the entire story. I was positive I knew who the bad guy was. A twist here and a turn there had me in complete shock at the outcome.

I have never had such a physically visceral reaction to any other story I've read. I felt an ache when Cassidy was hurt, fear when her life was in jeopardy, and happiness when she made through another day. A solid five star adventure.

Thank you so much to Elise Stokes for giving me chance to go on another adventure with Cassidy. I loved the first two books, but this one soars on a level of it's own.

Cassidy Jones strikes again in this fantastic third book of the Cassidy Jones Adventure Series! Many lovable characters return in this thrilling third book, as well as new, and just as brilliant, characters are introduced to the Cassidy Jones gang. With exciting twist and turns this book was difficult to put down. The love triangle between Cassidy, Emery, and Jarod is much more prominent. Which brings up the concerns of who will Cassidy choose, cool and collected Emery or sweet and protective Jarod. I love them both! Whether it is the struggles of school or the issues of new found mutant abilities, Cassidy is never dull. If you loved the first two books, you'll absolutely adore the third. the question that remains is, who is Gavin Phillips? Read it and find out.

As always, this Cassidy Jones novel had me gripped from the start, especially with more of Emery's father and scenes with Jared. I truly loved how the series matured with Cassidy, in terms of content and of course through the character's perceptions of the world and in relationships. Elise Stokes never disappoints, and I'm glad to say (like all other Cassidy Jones books that I've read) that this book is a definite 5/5.

SPOLIERS BELOW:

I will say that I am curious to see how the rest of the series will play out, now that Cassidy's parents know and now that Cassidy knows Jared likes her. I also am excited to see what happens with Emery and Cassidy as this is a rare series where I actually like both of the male love interests equally and would be happy seeing her with them either way!

I know this book has a lot of real good reviews but I have got to respectfully differ.
The plot is flimsy to say the least. For most of the book nothing happens padded out by a lot of unlikely and unbelievable teen stuff. For a novel that calls itself an adventure series it is really boring.
Hate love triangles and always remove at least one star, along with time travel these are the plot devices of a lazy author
Cassidy-Emery (super brain, super athlete) pitiful to say the least and borderline creepy.
Cassidy-Jared (super athlete and all round paragon) what a wuss.
Once again NOTHING HAPPENS if you are following this series you can safely skip this one - just read the synopsis

An independent novel review

Before you say it, I know: I am not in the target demographic for this book, or any of Elise Stokes’ Cassidy Jones adventures. Still, I enjoy reading them — despite the strange looks I get from others on the bus when I’m reading the latest installment in paper form.
Elise Stokes hit it big with her first novel, Cassidy Jones and the Secret Formula. After being reviewed by a 13-year-old reader, it was picked up by a middle-grade school as assigned reading. Then it won some awards and Elise Stokes became a prominent author of middle-grade or “young adult” fiction.
She followed up her first book in a year with Cassidy Jones and Vulcan’s Gift, but there was a longer delay for the third book. Now that I’ve read it, I understand why.

The plot
As most of the English reading world knows — at least, most of the “YA” market — Cassidy Jones is a normal teenage girl from Seattle. She’s awkward, lacks confidence and isn’t particularly athletic. Then, in true superhero fashion, she’s accidentally dosed with top-secret “Formula 10X,” being developed in her neighbour’s basement lab, which gives her super-strength, speed, the ability to heal quickly and enhanced senses. With the help of her neighbour’s son, Emery, another 14-year-old whose genius IQ has earned him university degrees already, Cassidy foils nefarious plots, rescues her kidnapped father and fights escaped tigers.
In this installment, the bad guys from the first novel return, searching for Formula 10X — which was destroyed in a fire after Cassidy’s accident. It turns out that the specifications were hidden in 10 separate microchips, scattered around the world. The baddies have recovered nine of them (using murder at least once); the last piece is hidden in an ancient Egyptian headdress on display in a museum in Seattle. Emery, Cassidy’s genius sidekick, learns of a plot to steal the chip, so Cassidy dresses as a mummy to spook the bad guys. But when one of the thieves turns out to be Emery’s father, the mysterious Gavin Phillips, the plot twists — and so do Cassidy’s emotions.

High quality
The third book is a little darker and more serious than the first two. Cassidy is growing up and dealing with a new level of emotions when it comes to boys. Boys are starting to pay attention to her, as well, in ways that are new to her. And there’s a love triangle slowly emerging. I think that Stokes portrayed her character’s reaction to that skillfully and believably: it’s plain to Cassidy, but she deliberately chooses not to think about it. I can believe that in a 15-year-old who’s trying to deal with some pretty extraordinary events in her life.
Stokes also spends more space in this novel describing the stress her character has to deal with from having a secret identity—a second life that she has to hide from her own family.
And as with Stokes’ first two novels, the third shows top-notch writing style, editing and production — and a gorgeous cover designed by David C. Cassidy. A fellow member of Independent Authors International, Stokes is living proof that independent writers produce work that meets and exceeds professional standards.

Less action
There is not as much action in this book as in the first two. Cassidy seems to spend more time stressing over her relationships with her friends, rivals, unwanted suitors and her family than she does fighting bad guys. To me, this made for a more interesting story, but I wonder how Cassidy fans feel?
The other slight weakness I found in this story is that you really have to have read at least the first novel to follow this one. The bad guys from both previous novels combine forces in this one. The text also refers to characters and events from the other novels. I kept having to try to recall the previous books to understand some of the plot points in the third (it’s been over a year since I read them, after all, and I’m not getting younger, either).

But those are minor nits to pick out. This is another excellent novel by one of the best writers in the MG/YA field today. There’s lots of room left in the story-arc, too, so we can all look forward to Cassidy Jones and the Luminous soon.

5*

Book Three in the Cassidy Jones series.

To refresh your memory: I started out planning on reading just the second book in this series, since that was the next on my "To-Read" list, but I have now read all three books, beginning with the first one and working through, and I will more than likely go on to the fourth book next, because, what the hey!, why not? Then I'll truly be caught up in the series. On to the review.

This third book made me a bit nervous. You see, I really like Cassidy and one of the male protagonist, but I never know exactly which one is going to win out. Cassidy (or maybe the author,) continually throws curve balls concerning this, and so I am left wondering which will end up with Cassidy's heart and soul. I guess I will have to keep reading to figure this puzzle out.

I'm still enjoying this series, although it's not as exciting as the first book (but still a four star.) Let me explain. The author seems to know where this story is eventually going to end up. If you have read this series from beginning to end, there is a thread the weaves throughout each book; and even though the character grow, the story expands, and become more interesting, it is still fresh enough that I want to keep reading. So, why is it not as strong as the first book?--->

The only thing that really tripped me up is that I found myself brushing over the "static" scenes, and hungrily devouring the action scenes. I mean, Cassidy is truly a fun character to read, in the thick of the action. Just not so much when it's not an action scene.

The author did expand upon some background characters, and I'm glad she took the route she did. After all, there are only so many love interests for Cassidy to have!

Also, I'm glad to say that Ms. Stokes threw some interesting twists in this one (although some weren't so interesting, since I had a heads-up in the prologue for one, and the ending of the second book alluded to more of the other parts.) Still: I did raise my eyebrows at a couple of scenes that I honestly did not see coming. That's always good.

But then, sadly, some of the lesser characters were either brushed off, or they weren't as prominent as I had hoped they would be in this one. Cassidy had alluded to maybe this being the case for one of the characters, but it didn't happen. Maybe in book four?

I originally listed this book as a "Fast-Read," because the page count was lower that the previous two, but it actually read slower than the previous books...or at it seemed like it to me.

Looking forward to reading the next book in this series, and then I'll at least be able to move back to my "To-Read" list...barring a book five release in the meantime!

Four stars.

I have been waiting for book 3 in the Cassidy Jones series to come out! Cassidy Jones is back in an all-new adventure! In book one, Cassidy Jones and the Secret Formula we learned that Cassidy got her superhero powers during an accident that happened while visiting a genetics laboratory with her father. Since then, Cassidy and her “side-kick” Emery (the super-intelligent son of the geneticist in charge of the lab where Cassidy got her powers) have been fighting crime and trying to figure out how to control her powers. In this adventure, Cassidy is on a school field trip to a museum to see an ancient Egyptian exhibit. She overhears some people saying that they want to steal something from the museum. It turns out that one of the bad guys is Emery’s mysterious father! Things get worse for the teenage superhero when she learns that Arthur King Jr. (that evil guy from book 1) was broken out of jail by Lily White (that evil girl from book 2) and Arthur’s super-evil mutant-making father, Arthur King Sr. (ginormous evil guy who was supposed to have died in a plane crash), come together to steal a microchip hidden in the museum display that can destroy the world. Find out how the super-powered teenager and her super-smart friend tackle the bad guys and still make it to class on time!

I am a superhero aficionado. I love classic superhero stories and I have to say – CASSIDY JONES ROCKS!!! Seriously, move over Superman! (*sigh* OK Superman, just scootch over. You’re still very cool ;) ) This Cassidy Jones book was just as awesome as the first two. I love that Ms. Stokes wrote a YA superhero adventure series that is good for MG readers too (there are two or three times where the word a** appears, like in smarta**. Other than that it is totally appropriate for all ages). Ms. Stokes writing style makes the story very exciting and vivid in your mind. Cassidy is an awesome character. She is a hero boys and girls will love because she acts pretty much just like a normal teen and has normal teen issues (friends, school, family stuff). She seems really genuine. Emery is just plain cool too. He is cool because all of his “powers” are just because of his mind. He is just smart, and that’s awesome. I really like the twists at the end of this book and I can’t wait for book 4! Get writing Ms. Stokes!!! ;)

**NOTE I got a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book was an exciting and worthy sequel in the series. It picks up the loose threads left hanging and follows them, but of course leaves things open for the next book.

In the Seventh Attendant, we learn more about Emery's father and what he does for a living. Additional interesting characters are (re)introduced, and Junior is back in the game as well as his father, King Sr. (don't worry, this is in the prologue). It is full of action, intrigue, and mortal danger, despite Cassidy's unique qualities.

There were a few annoyances, but that probably stems from me not being in the target audience. I have never been a teenage girl, much less a mutant one, so I can't fairly judge her decision making process, but some of Cassidy's decisions not to tell Emery important things seemed downright silly to me.

Also, the Jared crush is back in full force, which annoyed me a bit. Emery is tall, dark, handsome, genius level intelligent, athletic, gentlemanly, with a high moral sense, and takes care of and cares deeply about Cassidy. She cares about him equally. How is it even remotely possible that this is entirely platonic, as she naively seems to think?

Jared, on the other hand, is an average, handsome jock, mildly intelligent. Cassidy comments on his smile almost every single time she glimpses or thinks about him, which gets old fast.

Despite these annoyances, it is an excellent book and I definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the first two books. If the fact that it's not free is bothering you, I can tell you that 3.99 is extremely reasonable for a very high-quality, well-edited, reasonable length book. Just pay it. More authors should take the cue and price their e-books more reasonably.

A great adventure filled with mummies and other monsters!

This week I yielded to a guilty pleasure by diving into another Cassidy Jones adventure. I admit that I'm a grandmother, but I still really enjoy the antics of this redheaded superhero. (Okay, so I'm also a redhead and understand why she blushes so easily.) Here is a series I can honestly recommend to my granddaughter and know we will actually have something to talk about besides her favorite pop stars.

Cassidy gets sucked into a situation where she must lie to her best friend while stalking his dubious father. If she tries to keep any more secrets, I think her brain will explode--metaphorically speaking. Cassidy must also deal with the ups and downs of teenage romance--a mean guy stalking her, a friend who might be romantically attracted to her, and the hunky guy she's head over heels about--yeah, I remember how difficult it was to navigate through teenage relationships. I feel relieved that I don't need to deal with teenage hormones any more, but I appreciate Cassidy's situation.

To make being a teenager even more difficult, Cassidy must "deal" with super villains and the scary monsters they create. Can she survive the venom of a deadly bite while dodging bullets? Reading the adventures of Cassidy Jones is definitely a guilty pleasure, even for a grandmother. Good thing I can recommend it to my granddaughter--girls should have super heroes to root for too. Read these books and you'll understand what I mean.

The third book of the Cassidy Jones series is just as good, if not better than the previous two novels. Mrs. Stokes does an excellent job of putting us into the mind of a fifteen year old girl in smile inducing prose. Unlike many books with teenage protagonists full of angst, Cassidy’s outlook is refreshing. How she handles life, boys, school, and the homeless man she befriends are enlightening. Yet Cassidy’s disagreements with her twin brother and his friends, and her confrontations with the elitist girls at school ground Cassidy’s character into what you’d expect of a young woman her age.

The suspicious men loitering around the Egyptian artifact in the local museum suck her and Emery, Cassidy’s next door neighbor, and best friend, into an adventure that makes for an exciting read.

Although Cassidy is a mutant with extraordinary powers is secondary to this well written story that flows effortlessly. I smiled most of the way through the book, laughing often. But there were times I wished I could give Cassidy a hug, a shoulder to cry on, or be her confidant so she could unload the anguish she carries through the story.

The climax of the story will make you put off appointments or crying children.

If I had anything negative to say about Mrs. Stokes writing, it is that she doesn’t write fast enough. When finished with this story, you’ll be anxious for the next in the series.

I recommend this book to anyone over the age of thirteen.

Cassidy continues to keep her secret: she's an accidental mutant with ultra-enhanced senses and superhuman abiilties. But she's burdened with the weight of this new power. The person indirectly responsible for this transformation is renowned scientist Serena Phillips. She and her son Emery are the only ones who know Cassidy's amazing yet deadly capabilities. When Emery's dad finally returns home from a long assignment, Cassidiy senses something suspicious about Mr. Gavin Phillips. Her secret, and her family's safety, might be in danger not just from the assassins who are still after her, but most likely from Emery's dad himself. How is she to convince Emery that his dad is involved in a heist to steal a valuable artifact from a museum? And that Mr. Phillips did shoot her, even as she is disguised as Queen Kiya's mummified seventh attendant?

What I love most? Everything!!!!! It's a perfect mix of everything I want in a very good read. The story, the characters, the suspense, and the drama is better with each book. It's packed with action as well as potent doses of clean romance that's enough to make me swoon. But the icing on this cake is that Cassidy gets to unburden herself with what's bothering her most, and gain much needed support from family and friends. I just crave for what the future of Emery and Cassidy will be... or is that Jared and Cassidy? Aaaagh, the unknown! Next book, now, please!

was lucky enough to got a ARC copy of this new addition to the Cassidy Jones series and let me tell you it was a action packed ride. I thought I would read a little before going to bed the night I received it needless to say it was 5am when I was finished reading. It was such a fun filled action packed page turner. Introducing new characters and getting more insight into some that we have only briefly met before, I have to say I love the way Elise Stokes brings these characters to life. The introduction of Emery's father and the family dynamics are amazingly told, the loving family time they share is a wonderful addition. Watching how Cassidy grows into herself and her powers are something special to read, without losing her love for her friends and family is truly special. So many surprises await for them all in this and I hope in many more additional books. Elise has such wonderful insights into the lives of young people that she captures their inner dynamics with each other and adults around them with much humor and emotion without being over done. I look forward to seeing more of some new characters and surprising new developments for old friends and how Cassidy and friends will grow in future books....and Chaz he is just so.. Chaz!.. may he never change!(less)

It took me some time to get down to the business of reading this book, part 3 in the Cassidy Jones Adventure series (I confess, I don't read enough). But I was able to pick it back up again while on vacation this week, and just like the two previous books in this series, I was engulfed in the story and couldn't put the blasted kindle down. I love the way Elise Stokes weaves real-world information into her story, and her ability to create relatable personalities whom I now feel I know and love. I can't wait to read the new book in the series, but I say this with a tinge of dread, as I fear (and I hope I am wrong) that all good things must come to an end. I certainly hope Cassidy Jones' Adventures live on for decades, and we aren't nearing an end. I selfishly want for Cassidy's mutation to be permanent, so I can follow her adventures into her adulthood! I won't go into the details about the story. You'll just have to read these books for yourself. If you liked Harry Potter, Fantasy, or have a vivid imagination, I highly recommend you read. I think you just may fall in love.

These books just keep getting better and better! In Stokes' 3rd installment of the Cassidy Jones adventure, our heroine really grows, as a person AND as a superhero. The plot is fast moving and multifaceted, mixing in elements of teen angst, adventure, romance, kindness, social awareness, and just plain badassery!
I also couldn't help noticing how much Stokes has grown as a writer. While Cassidy slowly evolves into a more kind and courageous human being, Stokes' prose get more and more lyrical, her sentence structure more solid than ever. It almost seems as if author and protagonist are taking their incredible journey together. I am seriously impressed by where this series is going and would highly recommend it anyone. It's a fast paced page turner that has surprises lurking around every corner. I can't wait for the fourth book!

Wow! A great addition to the Cassidy Jones series!
I love to read books that are parts of a series. I like re-visiting characters that I have come to enjoy spending time with and care about. I really like books with plot and character driven action. This book has all those in spades. Cassidy Jones seems to be just getting in the groove of life as a mutant when she is faced with her strongest challenge yet. In fact, she has challenges in both her life as a budding mutant super hero and on the romantic/personal front. If one is not knocking her for a loop, the other is. Join in the fun and pick up Cassidy Jones and the Seventh Attendant. If you've already read the first two books in the series, you have to follow up with this, latest addition. It is full of enough action and plot twists to make you stay up until the wee hours to finish it. (At least that's what happened to me.)

Elise Stokes' Cassidy Jones stories keep getting better! Here, we add more mystery, more suspense, and a deeper relationship (along with a LOT more confusion) between Cassidy and Emery. This was another couldn't put down book, it even bumped another author's book from its place in line, as I had to continue Cassidy's story.

Here, she gets to see more of what she can do, comes to a better understanding and acceptance of her mutation, and learns more who her friends really are. More angst (it is a YA novel, after all), more development of the characters, a lot more action, and just all-around fun reading. Ignore sleep type of fun! If you even kind of like superhero stories, or YA stories, or a little sci-fi/fantasy, you will LOVE these books. HIGHLY recommended.

I love this series! Cassidy Jones is such a strong character especially as a young girl with vulnerabilities and insecurities. And I'm loving getting to read more about Emery and how he ticks. We get to see more of his family dynamic with his dad being part of the plot this time. I love Cassidy's family, too. Not many teen books have the whole family involved, especially one that are so loving and supportive. There were so many big moments in this installment and every character seemed a little stronger at the end. I'm a bit wary of Jared being that I'm a huge Emery fan but he's entering the picture so I'm excited to see how the plot thickens. It's a great clean read and a fun series I recommend.

Elise Stokes has done it again. The third book in the Cassidy Jones series is even better (if that’s possible). Cassidy Jones gets drawn into another mystery that might or might not involve Emery’s father and the destruction of the world. And two villains we love to hate make a reappearance, adding to the delightful plot. The characters are deep, the story fun, and I enjoyed every page as Cassidy balances teen life with heroic adventure. I am not the target audience for this series but I love it and highly recommend it to anyone old enough to read a chapter book and young enough to still be able to read!

I liked this one a lot better than the second book. Maybe I was in a better mood when I read this one? I liked the mystery in this novel. I like how Cassidy deals with more regular teen girl problems in this book. I like that this book contains more Jared than the last one. I felt like this one moved at a faster pace, but then again maybe that's because I was more into this story.

I definitely look forward to more adventures of Cassidy Jones.

I have no clue how to rate this one. I'm not a 14 yo girl. I picked up the prior books in the series during a pulp superhero phase a couple years back and looking for some fluff decided to revisit it. It's decently written superhero fluff with a teen audience in mind. If that's what you're into you'll love this.

Cassidy Jones is pure fun!

As Cassidy grows into her powers so do the relationships that support her and the villains who plot against her. Book three is even better than the first two and leaves you begging for more. I can't wait for Book 4!

I liked the book its just... I don't like the fact that Cassidy has feelings for Jared! I mean come on! She should totally have feelings for Emery! You know what they say, partners in crime FOREVER!!!!

I really do not remember much about the first two books other than that I enjoyed them. Unfortunately, this third book does only a moderate amount of reminding you. Enough that I can follow along, but I think I'm definitely missing some subtleties.

This has got to be one of the best series for teens I've seen EVER. Cassidy is so real, and yet so fantastically better than everyone.
