Her family or her heart? She made the wrong choice once before. Can her heart survive it a second time?
Because of one bad decision—a no good, lying, son-of-a-bitch of a man—Kira Jackson became estranged from her tight knit family. She would do anything to rebuild the relationship with her bear clan instead of the life she is currently living. Alone. So when she meets the sexy shifter, Nash North, it doesn’t matter how hot he makes her blood boil. She’s not about to make the same mistake twice.
From the moment Nash lays eyes on the curvy, sassy she-bear, he knows she’s something special. She’s also trouble, because Kira is the exact opposite of what he should be looking for in a mate. With every instinct in his body going wild, his animal is unleashed with a ferocity Nash has never experienced before. He’s not just attracted to her, Nash needs her.

This is a great addition to the Bears of Grizzly Ridge Series and I hope it's not necessarily the end. While I don't read many shifter books, these books have kept my interest and left me wanting more. I've always wanted to know of what happened with Kira after her (and her brothers') exile from their clan and this book provides that. And I must admit that her being a bear and Nash being a wolf is a very intriguing storyline. The ending left a little to be desired, but I'm honestly hoping that it just means that there is more to come from this series.
I've only read 2 or 3 shifter books and none of them really did much for me. I took a chance with this one because I love so many other Elena Aitken books. It was a good easy and quick read that I enjoyed. I liked the characters and I liked the bear/wolf mating combination. I also liked the ending which of course left it open to go further with another book.
Hers to Take is a terrific read! Being estranged from her clan, alone Kira has denied her bear until she meets sexy, Noah North, a wolf. From their first meeting the attraction burns fierce and denying is not something either wants until their clans need them. Ms. Aitken is a favorite Author of mine. I really enjoy any genre she writes. Highly recommend!
OMG!!! I love Elena Aitken. Elena Aitken creates a world of magic and romance beyond the imagination. The stories she creates are exquisite. They are a pure concoction. Just romantic and delightful and heartwarming not to mention a bit steamy. I have been introduced to a whole new genre thanks to her and let me just say it is perfect. I hope this series goes on forever. In Hers to Take we finally get Kira's story. I must say I have been waiting to meet Kira. Kira has had her struggles and heart break. When Kira meets Nash North there is instant heat and chemistry. Nash is on his own journey and has his own struggles. Not to mention he is a Wolf That's right a Wolf. Let me just say he is one hot wolf. Kira and Nash struggle with their attraction. Their attraction is undeniable and very much hot. I love everything about Hers to Take. Kira and Nash are from different backgrounds yet have similarities. Their attraction is irresistible. There is a pull to each other that neither can deny or resist. I love how they overcome all their struggles and obstacles to be together. I never would have thought a wolf and a bear could be 'fated mates' but it works. Their journey was one written in the stars. I love how Nash will do anything for Kira. I love the connection that Kira and her twin Kade have after all their time apart. I really am a believer in the connection of twin's. I laughed and my heart swooned throughout this story. Elena captivated my heart and soul from page one. Elena Aitken transported me to the story and I felt as if I were a part of it and not just reading it. I read this book in one day. I couldn't put it down. Hers to Take is a phenomenal read full of wonders and possibilities. There are so many elements to Hers to Take. You get romance and a bit of intrigue. Hers to Take is also about family and belonging. Just perfect. I definitely can't wait for more stories in this series. I hated to see this book end. My wish is for this series to never end. Grab your copy of Hers to Take and fall in love with the Bears of Grizzly Ridge series.
Elena Aitken’s fourth installment of her Bears of Grizzly Ridge series followed Kira and her mate Nash. In the beginning of the book Kira had not spoken with her family in several years after she left with, what she thought was her, true mate. A little older and wiser, Kira now knows that the shifter she left with had her fooled. Enter Nash, a wolf shifter who begins to work with Kira. The two immediately strike up a connection that proves to be one of a true mate, despite their bear/wolf differences.
This book was a very short, very emotional read. Kira and Nash had both been harmed emotionally by their families in the past, so readers are taken on not only a romantic journey, but also a personal one. Kira’s family story and the HEA wrapped up satisfactorily in Hers to Take, but sadly Nash's family issues felt like they were swept under the rug. There were too many loose ends in this book for me.
Another bummer: the bulk of this book was not on Kira’s family lodge in Montana (which I’ve grown to love deeply).
I enjoy this series immensely, but this book didn't hit the sweet spots for me. The lack of a deep/enduring connection between Kira and Nash, the deviation in locale and an abundance of clichés ruled here. 3 stars for Hers to Take.

I think this was my favorite book of the series. I suggest you read at least one of them first to get the background on the family, you learn a little more worth each book. Mira has gone through a lot. If you've read the other books you suspect somethings up with her. She's strong and resilient, she's managing a campground at Yellowstone. She meets the new handyman witch is Nash, a wolf shifter. There is instant attraction and she tries to deny it. Nash won't take no for an answer. I love that they are different species of shifters, since the other books stress that they can only be with like shifters. They have a lot to over come, and they do. I would like to see what happens with Nash's pack back at Yellowstone. I guess the only thing I would have liked to see was one of them to mate with a human.
Enjoyed the story of Kira and her fated mate Nash. Kira is the twin of Kade Jackson one of the brothers who own Grizzly Ridge. For 2 years she hasn’t seen her brothers because of a misunderstanding when she thought she had met her fated mate. After that man leaves her all alone she takes a job at Yellowstone Park as an attendant. There she meets Nash to whom she is strongly attracted. But, he is a wolf shifter and she is a bear shifter. The story continues with Kira fighting the attraction and also working as a supervisor of sorts at the park. As the story develops you are made aware of the problems that are developing at the park. I recommend this story. It’s an easy read that fills that niche of wanting something to read but not something really “heavy”. There are sexual scenes in the book that may offend some.
Kira Jackson left her family to go with the bear who said he was her fated mate only to discover he lied. Now she believes her family has turned their backs on her. Nash North has left his wolf pack rather than be forces to mate a wolf he doesn't love. Kira and Nash meet on the job and the attraction is undeniable. Kira is weary to believe the feelings she has for Nash are real, she was tricked once before. Nash know what he is feeling but it can't bee true, Kira is a bear and he is a wolf. Will they be able work through their issues so they can be together or will they let family and pack destroy their future? I love this book. The characters are wonderful and the story is original. If you love shifters this is a must read!
While I don't usually read this genre, I started to read this series because they are written by one of my favorite authors. The stories, character development, & well thought out plot are all characteristic of Ms. Aitken's books. The chemistry between Kira & Nash was intense & came through in the dialogue & in their interactions. The idea of shape shifters is still a little off to me but it is more of a background story. The romance between Kira & Nash and their families is the main line. I really hope this isn't the end of the series.
Long lost sister Kira gets her story and a reunion with her brothers. After two years on her own she's used to it. Not happy, just resigned. Nash shows up and she finds her mate even though she's a bear and he's a wolf. Then her twin brother shows up and she's afraid to tell him her mate is a wolf. She can't lose her family again so she decides to leave her mate but will her bear let her?
This is a good book in the story. Although it's a standalone it's better to read the other books first to understand what took her away from her family.
Kira has been feeling sad after not seeing her family for two years, all because of her belief that she had her fated mate when he told her that she was his fated mate. Then the bum laughed and left her. Then she met Nash, a new employee of Yellowstone National Park and the sparks flew both ways. But, how can Kira trust her instincts after the last supposedly mate? Another problem is that she is a bear shifter and Nash is a wolf shifter so it just can't be. This story has steamy romance, danger and the best ending possible!
I wasn't sure if about this book's plot to be honest. It was absolutely bizarre for me to mix shifters from different species, but I put my preconceptions aside and started reading. Boy, was it worth it. The author did an amazing job merging these too amazing shifter and proved one more time that love trumps every barrier. This book gave the series the perfect closure and it has turn this "shifter-mixer" skeptic into a believer.
Kira and Nash are from different world but when the meet sparks fly!
Kira ran away from her family for a mate and broke her & her twin’s hearts. It was all a lie but she couldn’t go home. She makes a new life and in walks Nash. They are from different worlds. But love doesn’t care about any of that nonsense! Kira tries to deny her feelings. See if they manage to work out their differences.
Omg I absolutely loved this book. I couldn't stop reading.
Kira is the sister of Axel, Luke and Kade. Made is her twin. They have a special bond that was broken when she left. However, things get spiced up when she meets the sexy maintenance man Nash. Nash is a wolf shifter. They collide and have a rough go all while dealing with fish sabotage at the campsite. Family is everything to them both. Can it also tear them apart?
This one may be a bit weird, but it all comes together in the end. Kira has been in the position of looking after herself for a couple of years, and has become the manager of one of the parks for Yellowstone. Nash is a new employee, and Kira and Nash have an attraction, from the moment they meet. However, not only they are boss - employee, but they are different in other respects. Okay, it's a fantastic story, which I don't want to spoil.
Excellent ending to the series about the Jackson bear clan and their mates. I loved the very true conflict of having love for someone outside your species. Kira and Nash proved that love wants who it wants and it doesn’t really matter what your family or society says about it.
Wow! This book just made this series even better. I loved Kira and Nash! They were dated to be together. I loved everything about this book! Kira is sweet but stubborn. Nash is sexy and determined. They are great together. I can't wait to keep reading in this series!
It was great finding out where Kade's twin Kira ended up. Kira and Nash's story is a bit different than expected. But when you find your fated mate what can you do, but just go with it. This was a great story that brings the Jackson siblings together.
This was book 4 and enjoyed it much as the other ones. It really got all the family back together again and boy is this family increasing. 💘 Loved every second of each book.
I can not wait for the rest of more about the wolves, and how everyone and everything will work out! I hope that what Elena will do. Loved this series and am now anxious for more.
I'm so glad that Kira had her story. Lies and betrayal. Kira thought she found her fated mate. After he left her, how could she go back to her family. Kade is finally ready to except his bear and find Kira. But will the Jackson brothers be able to handle her news?
Love 💘this series. The author is classy in her desire scenes and each pair are different wow jus wow! He's a wolf she's a bear can gates mates work like that?
Just like the others, I loved this book. I think out of the first 4 this is my favourite. I liked how the Jackson siblings were reunited after all that time. Are they ever going to find their mother?
