An introductory treatise on the domain of knowledge organisation valuing the developments in its evolution. It's exploration of faceted approach of knowledge organisation at various stages severely ignores the contributions by S R Ranganathan, who had pioneered its uprising as early as in 1930s. The book ends by indicating the trends in this domain while showing the indelible mark domain analysis has made during recent years.
