There are multiple benefits of making use of an Instant Pot. It is healthier than any other cooking method. Instant Pot makes use of pressurized steam for cooking. The tightly sealed container also prevents any of the nutrients from slipping through. It is easy to operate and clean as well. It is a good investment and quite a helpful kitchen buddy. You can also cook food in batches, freeze them, and then simply heat it up later, and voila. You can now eat a delicious vegan meal.
You will simply need to gather all the necessary ingredients, dunk them into the Instant Pot, change or select the most appropriate setting, and sit back and relax. I admit that I had no idea what an Instant Pot was when getting this book. I didn't bother to read the reviews others had written, nor did I really read the book description. I saw the title, the cover, and it was an impulse buy, pure and simple. I thought I would find a solution to making some super fast meals for my family ("instant" made me think quick and easy meals).
But now I am shopping for an Instant Pot so that I can actually MAKE the recipes I saw in this book! I have no clue how good they are, nor how close to vegan they may be since I am not vegan. (And with that statement you are probably thinking I am a complete nut to buy a book with recipes for a lifestyle I don't live in a cooking tool I don't have... But we have been making a lot of changes in our eating habits, choosing healthier options as well as ingredients that are more natural and I have found that some of the vegan recipes have been quite yummy!)
I have a few other recipe books by Sam Kuma, and have found his recipes to be quite delicious and well balanced flavor wise. I do wish he would include nutritional information with his recipes so that I can evaluate things like carbs, protein, and sugars. But he always does a great job of writing recipes that are flavorful, easy to create, and family pleasers for my crew. I have adjusted a few of his previous recipes to add my own flair and suit my family's tastes more, but for the most part I follow his directions very closely and have never had trouble with them.
And his writing is very good. He does not make mistakes in word choice, grammar, and uses proper mechanics. I hate when a comma is missing, or worse, when someone uses them too much. His writing did not leave me critiquing his work, but focusing only on the recipes and dreaming of all the things I could make with my soon to be purchased Instant Pot. These will hopefully free me up more and allow me to make some good meals for my family without having to spend hours in the kitchen prepping and cooking. I can't wait!
Even if you don't have an Instant Pot and even if you are not vegan, this is probably a collection that will have something you like and want to try. Definitely take a look at it!
