This woman and her sugar free low carb recipes saved my life. Not kidding. Giving up sugar is hard enough, in fact, it is really hard, but giving up artificial sweeteners pretty much also meant giving up baking. Baking and me go way back. I invented my first recipe, for chocolate cookies, when I was about 9 or 10 years old. It's part of who I am. Jonesing for sugar and sweets was terrible, thinking I was never going to really bake again was utterly depressing. And then I found alldayidreamaboutfood.com and Carolyn's wonderful, healthy recipes.

Some specialty ingredients are needed and they will seem expensive at first but once you get your kitchen set up for sugar free, low carb cooking, well, it's a whole new world. Carolyn's recipes are easy to follow, I've seldom had something turn out disappointing and usually I can tweak it back inline if it's something that was simply a near miss. Like the time when I didn't press the shortbread cookies flat enough, alternative flours just do not act the same, the texture was not right, the cookies were just too thick, but the flavor was worth a second try and they are now a favorite.

Fangirl til I die.

Lots of information for someone new to cooking and/or keto diet! Recipes are solid, plus the bonus of helpful hints is great!

Recipes look good, some look time consuming, but may be worth it if you enjoy leftovers and make larger portions.

Checking out this diet. Dr wants me to slow down on eating carbs, so.... looking around. We will see!

Appears to have some pretty good recipes in this book. Including a few bread items, minus the carbs, that I might like regardless of whether I start this type of food plan.

All the high fat worries me a bit with my acid reflux.

Continuing my search...

Excellent cookbook but more than that: so much information about cooking Keto! I've looked at a lot of cookbooks and blogs but this has the most information and the clearest concepts I've found so far. I'm looking forward to using everyone of these recipes.

What people have now labeled ‘keto’, some of us diabetics have been doing for literal years.

What sets these cookbooks by Carolyn aside from those keto recipes flooding the shelves is simple. She’s a fellow diabetic who tests her own recipes, eats like this consistently, & isn’t making it a mission to capitalize on a dieting fad.

For some of us, this is life. Carolyn gets that. If I could reach through the pages of the internet to hug her, I would. It’s absolutely not a stretch to say that her recipes have changed my personal life for the better.

Highly recommend for those with diet restrictions (I’ve even been known to changed these recipes to make them plant based), or those cooking for someone with diet restrictions.

I feel motivated after reading it

Great recipes!i have read several books and I always give up on trying keto diet because ingredients and recipes sound complicated and time consuming. This book also includes a sample of week meals which looks awesome! I’m so happy that I gave a try to this book. I’m ready to put it on practice.

Excellent cookbook! I eat more by the guidelines of Trim Healthy Mama, but there are overlaps to the eating methods, so I found many useful recipes here.

Great Keto Resource!

Carolyn Ketchum has been one of my favorite Keto bloggers for years and I've used many of her recipes from her blog All Day I Dream About Food. So when she said she was writing a cookbook I couldn't preorder fast enough! Since I got my paperback copy, I've ordered another as a gift and also added the Kindle book to my cooking library as well as the paperback.

Carolyn starts by explaining what a Keto diet is (it's not really a "diet" but a WOE --- a way of eating --- that promotes health and weight loss. She tells you what ingredients you can expect to use in the recipes. And finally, these recipes are easy to make and her directions are very clear, so whether you've been cooking Keto for a while or you're brand new at it you will find plenty of good food to keep you successful on your way of eating.

This is a very good cookbook, though not useful to me personally as I lean toward the vegan/vegetarian side of the street.
