April 15, 2018DNF @ 49%. For a short erotica read, the writing was more mature than most with this type of book, but it wasn't pulling me in. For an older man/younger woman trope, the H was too unsure of himself and the h started out like a shy virgin, but turned aggressive during sex. Personal preference has me needing the H to be more dominant.

What Happens in Vegas by Mia Madison is an Older Man Younger Woman Romance
Ashley is a journalism student in Vegas for a one week journalism workshop when she meets Mr. Handsome, Dark and Sexy as Hell at a hotel bar. Wine coupled with being in Vegas has Ashley feeling bold and adventurous, like she could say and do what she wants, and what she wants is the sexy hunk she's talking to. James isn't used to hitting on sexy babes but he's in Sin City and can't take his eyes off the beautiful woman sitting at the bar. Ashley is captivating, funny and smart. Way out of his league. And miracle of all miracles, she spends the night in his room.
Even though what Ashley and James shared was supposed to be one night, no strings attached, they can't stop thinking about each other. Thinking that they're never going to see each other again, they're both shocked when they see each other at the journalism workshop, which James is leading. James tells Ashley that he wants to see her again, much to Ashley's delight. James and Ashley want to continue seeing each other when the week comes to an end but Ashley wants someone who can be by her side whereas James can only offer her weekends. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. This was one of Ms Madison's wonderful quick and sexy reads. Ashley and James meet in Vegas and everything happens very quickly for them from a one night stand to a week together. Both feel the instant connection and want more. Just goes to show you what happens in Vegas doesn't always have to stay in Vegas. This may have been a short read but it was packed with a lot of story. Absolutely loved how the ending came about.

I'm not always a fan of the whole insta-love thing, but I must say, Mia Madison did a great job with this short, sexy read. James and Ashley are interesting, well written characters. He's somewhat older, she was young, but really mature and I really liked that about her. The book moved quickly, smoothly and was a great read. I really enjoyed James and Ashley's characters and I think you will too.

I found this story slow in the parts. I struggled to keep my attention on the story. I wanted more of a spark between Ashley and James. They didn’t seem to fight much for a relationship. They were so ready to give up despite loving each other. I was confused at on point because: it never mentioned why
Ashley was in town. It mentioned that James was there to give a journalism workshop. Ashley just suddenly was an attendee. I liked the ending but I wasn’t left satisfied like I usually am with Mia’s books.
When Ashley spots a handsome stranger James across the bar she is instantly attracted. After James buys her a drink they soon get talking and before they know it, they’re in his hotel bed. After a hot and steamy night together, James realises she has brought light to his life. But with an agreement of one night only, they don’t ever expect to see each other again. That is until the next day when James is giving a journalism workshop, and Ashley is an attendee. When James and Ashley confess their attraction to one another they decide to spend the week together. But what happens when they find themselves falling in love? Will James take the risk and take a chance at a relationship with Ashley?

I really like this story. It was a quick fun read full of steamy sex scenes and engaging characters. I don’t really like the insta-love genre but it works in this story. I love how the story begins, with James, the older hot man staring at Ashley, a beautiful younger woman, from across the room. The older hot man and the young beautiful woman make for a f He buys her a drink and then approaches her. Their conversation is light and flirty and things progress from there. The attraction is explosive and they agree on a one-night stand but after their night together can they keep to their agreement?
I loved the pace of this story and I also liked the characters. The ending was just perfect. I would definitely recommend this book for someone who wants a quick, sexy, fun read.

I am voluntarily leaving my honest review based on an advanced readers copy of this book. Ashley is in Vegas for a week to take park in a journalism workshop. James is the journalist who is teaching the workshop. The first night in Vegas Ashley is instantly taken with James in the hotel bar and agrees to one night of fun with no strings attached. Both James and Ashley cannot stop thinking about each other and are both surprised to see each other at the workshop. The rest of the week they spend together every chance they get. But what happens after the week is over? Is their connection they formed durning their week in Vegas strong enough for them to survive and have their happily ever after? I highly recommend you read this to find out!

Then she locks eyes with this sexy hot older guy, James who eventually buys her a drink, which lead to another & they end up having hot steamy sex. They both know it's a one night stand, but none of them counted on the fact that they would want more. Then she sees who the speaker is at the workshop, none other than James! Normally what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but they can't get enough of each other. But there's obstacles waiting, they stay in different cities for one....Can they over come the obstacles to get their HEA?

Definitely a quick little read. Story had some good parts, but it did drag on in places. Chemistry between James and Ashley was good--but not as firecracker hot in some of Mia's other books.
Still--all in all--it's a good read, and you should give it a chance.

What Happens in Vegas is a short, steamy HEA story. If you need a quick pick me up story than James and Ashley's story will do that. "They don't call it Sin City for no reason"

A great short steamy story by Mia Madison that doesn't disappoint. It's a book with lust/love at first sight & a couple, James & Ashley, who have to decide if their one week fling in Vegas will last beyond that time.
Even though the story is short, it's a perfect short steamy story that you can't help but fall in love with both characters and root for them. Told from both POV's and a HEA that will definitely leave you smiling.

Amidst the glitz and glitter of the city that never sleeps, they fell in lust with each other from the start, and one hot, sexy night turned into a week, and then what? A one night stand turns into a weeklong stand turns into so much more! Talk about a whirlwind romance. This was a good short sweet and sexy weekend read. I think my favorite parts were the fact that just because she was younger, she wasn't all ditzy and stuff, like she had her stuff together. Also, I like how it turns out in the end, it was a bit unexpected and what made it five stars for me.

A heartwarming story. Get the tissues ready.
I think this is one of the best tear jerker stories that I have read in a long time. I couldn't put it down. I absolutely loved the chemistry between James and Ashley. I felt like I was a part of their story and a happily ever after is the best.
