M.S. Parker is my go to author for steamy, hot reads that intermix suspense and she has done it again..Here is Tanya, new to her job as an editor's assistant. There she comes across a book that she knows will be a best seller but her boss refuses to listen. She goes ahead and sets up a lunch with that unknown author , not knowing that author is Erik- hot alpha Billionaire, known to the world as the hottest thing since sliced bread and he wrote this book that is better than 50 shades of gray but he wrote it under a woman's name. Tanya is innocent, sweet and knows really nothing of that world while Erik is jaded, knowledge and wants to have Tanya anyway he can have her.
Their story is told in dual POV, there is plenty of hot sex, steamy scenes and witty banter but there is also angst and emotional parts that really kept my interest. M.S. Parker has been absent from the book scene for a few months and she has been missed but I have to say, welcome back. Because this book is a huge present to her readers. I cannot wait to see what she has next.
My rating: 4.7 stars **** "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
Blurb: When newly hired editor's assistant, Tanya Lacey, reaches out to the unknown author of a steamy new erotic romance novel, she’s stunned to learn that the author is not only a man, but also a handsome billionaire.

Ok... so this wasn’t quite what I was expecting. There’s no half stars so I’d give this book 3.5 if I could... I enjoyed it more than a 3star but there was something missing... Not so much in the subject of this book, but I thought that this story would continue into the next one in the series.
In some ways, I like it that this is a standalone book that is part of a larger series, but without reading the rest of the series I’m not quite sure whether I liked how quickly this story wrapped up. I like the happy ending... but it felt like it climaxed too soon (sorry, no pun intended!). Talk about Wham-Bam-Thank-You-Ma’am... it’s got enough substance there that could, I think, have carried on for a lot longer and gone more in-depth... gone into more dangerous territory but one minute I’m getting into Erik and Tanya’s relationship and then it’s done.
I’d also like a little more variety. I’ve read quite a few MS Parker books now and with the exception of a few of my favourites (Pleasures, New Pleasures, The Hunter Brothers and the Scottish Billionaire series in particular) they follow very much the same path. So much so that I am starting to struggle to remember where one story starts and another finishes. I often find myself having to think about plot lines as they do start to blur into one.
The BDSM thing... yeah, it’s sexy but I’m actually more turned on with the stories that aren’t so focussed on the kinky side of sex for the ones that are loving and based around mutual control rather than complete dominance. Erik isn’t quite as dominant as some of Parker’s other make alphas, which is a nice change... and he’s sweet, kind and caring particularly when he meets Tanya and realises her inexperience but I really wanted this book to concentrate on them for a little longer.
It’s good and I really liked Erik and Tanya as a couple... but their story was far too quick. Maybe they’ll come up again in the next few books in the series. I guess I’ll have to read and find out, but I’m hoping for a little more variety.
The story was too short and the characters too underdeveloped (just like their "relationship") to make me believe that after casual sex a few times over the course of three weeks, that Erik and Tanya fell head over heels in love. I didn't see anything that made it believable, there was no development, no profound moments. I just don't know what it was based on. They really didn't know anything about each other because all their encounters were sexual in nature. What exactly were they falling in love with? I felt like the whole book was rushed. Maybe if it'd been longer and the relationship had more time to be developed I could've bought it, but with what was presented, it felt forced. If I had to base my decision to read more from this author just based on this book, I wouldn't bother. Fortunately, it's not my only exposure to M.S. Parker, so I'll give a few more books a go. But if they're like this one, I won't continue to bother. Also, the author really needs a better editor. As with all the books I've read of theirs, there were a number of mistakes, such as words missing from sentences, etc. that made it come off as unpolished.
The story was ok enough. The idea is to suspend reality for the joy of the story, and I did that. Because there's a lot that doesn't make much sense of analyzed in the real world. The BDSM twist was really lacking. They go to a big club, but there's no description of it? Nothing firm or detailed about his work life, yet he's a billionaire? There's more about Tanya's boss than other parts of the story. Why did the boss immediately jump to the question of sex at the beginning? How did the boss know how to manipulate emails at the end? The questions go on and on. .... Then to my pet peeve: The story advertised is only 35% of the book, according to my Kindle. The rest is other stuff. Grrrrr! It's a darn good thing this book was free. And I will not pay for others in the series. The author had her chance. I don't recommend bothering with this book.
I enjoyed this short story about Tanya and Eric. Tanya works as an editors assistant and has to read lots of manuscripts. Most of them are no good but she then reads “Heat of the Sun” and loves it, so arranges to meet with the author. Eric is the author and uses a females name as a pseudonym. There is chemistry between them straight away and as much as she wants to stay professional, Eric asks her if she’d like to act out some of the scenes from his erotic book, and she agrees.
There’s lots goose bumps in this book, really liked the story line. I would quite happily have read more about their story and found out more about what happened to her Dad.
I do like good BDSM stories. This is good. It is not just about the erotica but the story. In fact MS Parker takes her time to develop characters instead of jumping headlong into erotica. By allowing us time to know the characters and the storyline, the erotica was just that and not smut. I did find it interesting that there is another club (thinking back to other books) like the name and I also like how she has perfectly set us up to continue in the next books by letting us meet Erik's friends early on.
Truth be told, I am so tired of the rich businessman trope. This did not have to be a rich guy for the story to still be excellent. And it was really good. I liked both of the lead characters. I thought the conflict felt too contrived, but it makes for a lovely HEA. I have actually already read the 2nd book that’s promoted at the end of the book. It’s really great, too, just FYI. I’m not jumping up and down recommending this one, but it’s a lot better than many of the books I’ve read lately. This title is free on KU and $0.99 for purchase on Kindle.
Welcome back MS Parker, its been a while since you have graced us with a book and this one was well worth the wait.
This book has it all.... hot alpha billionaire moonlighting as an erotic author...check strong independent women....check some hot and steamy scenes....check and check
Said independent women starting a new job and finding said billionaire/author and sending sparks off the pages of my kindle....check
Tanya and Erik's story was just the book I would love to turn into a real life experience, for those of you that have read the book you will get what I mean.
This book is a stand alone with no cliff hanger endings and will leave you smiling with love in your heart
The Billionaire's Muse by M.S. Parker is a great read. Ms. Parker has delivered a book that is entertaining. It is written in alternating point of view format. I think it might have been even better in third person, but that's a personal preference. Tanya and Erik's story is loaded with drama, humor and steamy sex. My favorite part of the book were the lovable characters. I enjoyed reading The Billionaire's Muse. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
This story started off very sad for Tanya. First Her mother left then her father left her with an uncaring aunt. When Tanya decided to stop being mouse to try her hand at being a lion was the best thing that could have happened to her. Meeting Erik was the best thing to bring her out of her shell. I was happy she finally stood up to her boss. I admire the way Erik put Tanya's boss in her place. I was very pleased with the way the story ended. Good Job
This book started my love for this series and I am looking forward to reading all of them. The twist with Erika Summers and Erik Sanders was really well thought out. I like the idea of a male erotica writer. The love that builds between the main characters is very fluid and natural. I highly recommend this entire series.

This book was awesome, Drama, Passionate, Dream, Love, all these things we're written in this story. M.S. Parker is an excellent writer! I enjoyed reading this authors books. The core of this story was basically about love and trust! ENJOY you will love this story, could not put it away, it was just that good!
Erik & Tanya are meant to be in this steamy story. He’s her first everything and she’s a first for him. He wasn’t supposed to want more. She has her boundaries and a plan to keep her focused on the goal. But together they can’t help being pulled together. Great love story! A wonderful read.
This is my first read by this author; the synopsis intrigued me so I dived in.
If I had Tanya’s job and had to rate this book this would be rated fair. No character development, rushed, drama that dissolved into nothing and no real resolution to the character that was the Cruella Deville of bosses.
I consider this rating. Because it left me wanting more of Tanya and Erika story. I loved everything about this storyline. So when it came to the end. I was wanting more of their storyline to read. Everything about their storyline was intriguing and enticing. I will definitely recommend this book to my close friends who I know will enjoy reading a exotic book.
What a way to meet a billionaire! Not your average girl meets wealthy man...
There was just enough twists and challenges to keep me on edge, not assume the story would turn left, or right, or back up. I did sort of expect more edgy fear with the threats, but it was still an excellent read!
Tanya and Erik come from completely different worlds. He is a billionaire with everything at his fingertips. She is just getting started in the business world with little to fall back on. It’s interesting how they deal with their individual issues.
This story is a fun way to spend a few hours on a rainy day.
Having both her parents abandon her as a child,Tanya Lacey had a really hard time trusting people. She worked hard at things in life landing herself a job at a entry level job at Branch Publishing. Soon she comes across a manuscript by Erika Sanders that catches her eye and sets a meeting to discuss it. But walking into that meeting will change not just her future about also Eric's aka Erika's. M.S. Parker outshined herself yet again with The Billionaire's Muse. Job well done.
I absolutely love MS Parker’s writing and every book I’ve read has been great until this one. I just didn’t get drawn in at all. I felt zero connection with the main characters and it just fell flat for me.
This was a great story Tanya read erik's book and wanted to sign him but Erik has other ideas. Second preview is of sire who is Alix temp and he wants to take pics of her. I'm both books these men make the demon their muses and they make them better men.Awesome
Great story about Erik and Tanya, finding out ot was him that wrote the book, nice twist with her dad, expected a bit more about their relationship building, felt a bit cheated about the jump in time at the end of the book.
It sucks you in from the beginning and keeps you there. Loved everything about the story and the characters. I will definitely reading the next book in this series. Great job!
I enjoyed this short story and wish it was a little longer. Tanya and Erik hit it off at first sight and the intensity that follows will suck you in. This story is loaded with drama, humor and hot sex. You will not be disappointed.
She loved the manuscript, what she didn't know when she made the business lunch date to discuss the manuscript was Erin was really Erik and he wants her to help him write his next book.
Yet another great read from M S Parker, she never disappoints. Love these books so much and can't wait to get started on the next. Don't ever stop writing these books, love it.
This book felt rushed and there was no chemistry other than sexual. I mean he was a billionaire and there was no dinners, no expensive gifts or no romantic getaways. This book had so much potential and I wanted more but sadly didn't get it.
I can't get over the fact that it was three short stories not one longer story . Storylines jumped around, no character development to speak of , etc. poor choice on my part .
