I chose this book because it deals with learning about geographic locations around the world and not just where we live. This approach is crucial in teaching students about global diversity and that we aren't alone in this world. I feel that it could be used effectively for ELL's because of the heavy use of pictures, which supports the learning of a second language learner. This book could easily be used to to supplement a geography lesson or stand by itself with an accompanying activity along with it. I haven't used this book in class yet, but hope to in the coming years.
