Meeting Them Wings of Artemis by Rebecca Royce ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ OH MY WORD! What a fantastic futuristic story. This story has a way that draws you in. The characters have experiences are leagues out of our experience, but we can still feel their emotions for their story, this is what makes the story so believable. Rebecca Royce is a talented author, she focus on the characters thoughts and actions. What I enjoy more than anything is the way she combines drama and sexual tension for her scenes. She makes you feel the tension between the characters through out the story, so you can enjoy the characters for what they bring to the story. Rebecca Royce is a author that develops a strong female protagonists who has the internal strength to overcome and her male characters are alpha males but have an inner core that allows them to be in touch with their feeling. Rebecca Royce always creates such scorching hot sexual tension and sizzling sex scenes. Paloma Delacroix father puts her in a convent with the sisters after she makes a mistake in her youth. Thomas, Clay, Keith and Quinn McQueen are brothers with secrets and a past that keeps them on the run. They wanted to take care of Paloma and she wants them to believe that the universe isn't as bad as they believe it is. Rebecca Royce has a talent for this kind of developing innovative, engrossing and entertaining stories. She builds awesome fantasy worlds, with amazing details that enhances her stories. Her primary and secondary characters are well developed and is very three dimensional. This story is well written, well paced with some unexpected twists. This is an excellent paranormal romance. The characters came to life for me, making the story that much more enjoyable. If you want to laugh, cry and feel that their happily ever after is the real thing, than this story is for you. I couldn't stop reading and this why I love reading Rebecca Royce. I voluntarily reviewed this book. Because I like sharing my thoughts with my fellow readers.
Meeting Them by Rebecca Royce is book 3,5 in The Wings of Artemis Series. Meeting Them can be read as stand alone, but for better understanding I recommend to read this series in order. Meet Paloma, she suffers severely for a mistake she made years ago. And there are the McQueen brothers Thomas, Clay, Keith and Quinn. All five have issues and scars, visible and invisible. The men are smitten with Paloma and it is so so beautiful to read how their love grows and their relationship blossoms. Meeting Them ends in a cliffhanger and the story continues in the fourth installment. I loved the story and I loved the characters. 5 Stars and Thank you Rebecca Royce !
A sci-fi romance with a cult of twisted sisters, a band of misunderstood brothers, and a woman who is tired of it all. And would love nothing more than to find her place in the world that threw her away in the first place.
Paloma life has been hell with the sister cult. She has learned that keeping quiet and havong her head down with bring a lot less beatings her way. And as soon as her last year is up she will leave the cult and be on her own. At least thats her plan. But plans have a way of backfiring.
A band of brothers will stop at nothing to save thw world if they can from their evil father. But first they must save themselves and a little waif they picked up along the way. That for once they care more about her than she really knows. Can they protect her from all.
This was actually my first Wings of Artemis book that I read because it came in the Falling For Them anthology. I was intrigued right from the start and after I finished reading I knew I needed more. Luckily there is a whole series. I have to admit that I was a little lost at first since I wasn’t familiar with the world but it didn’t take me long to catch on.
This short novella has plenty of action, romance, and excitement. It is a bit insta-love, which isn’t my favorite but it works within the plot lines of this story and series. Paloma has had crap luck at life. She’s sweet, reluctant, and despite her circumstances, not cowed. The McQueen boys are all alphas and hot as hell. Tommy was hard for me to like at first—he’s commanding, controlling, and a bit of a jerk for most of the story. All the men have their own personalities though and it didn’t take me long to fall in love with all of them.
I loved the story and I cannot wait for the next installment of their story. You get glimpses of them in Diana’s story and that just wet my appetite for more.
I think I'm starting to develop an obsession with reverse harem. It might even be my new go-to romance genre. All four McQueen boys are hot as hell in their own ways and the scenes between them and Polena are simply delectable. They are absolutely lovestruck over her.
But that's the thing I object to, as wonderful as it is. This was pretty insta-love. Granted, this world has a shortage of women and the brothers had very little contact with females of any kind before Polena. But they were lovestruck instantly, which was a little frustrating.
It also took a long time to get into the story. because I was so unfamiliar with the world. Granted, this isn't the first book in the series, but this is supposed to be a series of standalones, and that wasn't the case. It took me several pages to get oriented enough to enjoy the story.
Also sometimes the dialogue felt too canned. Polena's dream dialogue and some of Tommy's lines didn't flow easily or naturally. However, the banter between the brothers and the interaction between them and Polena were mostly wonderful.
While this is part of the wings of Artemis series you can start with this book and be fine. Be your going to love to read all of them lol Paloma's one time indiscretion with a boy at the age of 17 cost her 5 years of her life at the sisters of the universe in mostly silence. That's were my chance she meet the MC Queen brothers Thomas, Clay, Keith, and Quinn. They all started thier journey to Mars station This is a reverse harem so she does get all the guys. The storyline is awsome. the characters are great it's full of action, drama, mystery, intrigue, suspense and more. I couldn't put it down and didn't want to lol its a fantastic read Voluntarily reviewed a copy and I honestly loved it.

Enjoyed this short story. Think I like Paloma's story the best so far. It has more to it. Despite the fact it's a short story I don't feel deprived...maybe because I know there are 2 other books about this bunch. The world created is shown clearer, the people, the planets, how people live & thrive & struggle. They relationship between Paloma and her men; while they they do tell each other they love each other frequently, doesn't feel cloying sweet or desperate. It feels more organic and real [IMO].
Finally all these mentions of Paloma by Diana and we finally get to read about her! I’m not partial to novellas as they always seem to move to fast. The story always feels a little rushed. This was better written than many I have read, maybe cause it’s a prequel to Paloma’s story and so you know there is yet more to come. The guys had a good amount of character development and so did Paloma, and the story was well developed itself. Looking forward to the next book.
I really dig Paloma and the McQueens. I can see where they’re starting to fit into the overall plot of the series. I read this in the middle of Diana’s story and now I want to skip ahead to see what happens next for Paloma. That’s really saying something since I liked Diana’s story and it ended on a cliffie.
This is a novella so don’t expect too much to happen in the way of the storyline, but we do get a lot of useful info so I wouldn’t skip this.
Paloma's personality seemed rather wishy-washy to me, and she didn't stand out as a strong character. Tommy was also irrationally hot and cold, which was written off as being honest and bad at communication, but considering that he had previously been a successful general before, those features didn't seem conducive to his previous occupation. I love the twins though.
Brilliant read, Loving this series. Paloma has been living with the sisters for many unhappy years. A choice she made has lead her on this path and she knows she only has to survive for one more year before she can make her own way in the world. But the Mcqueen Brothers explode into her life, causing waves she cant help but be swept away by. brilliant read. Cant wait to read the next.
This novella was so painful to read but I did it to find out about the Sandler Cartel. I've gone back and forth on this series; it's not perfect but I've liked enough of it to keep going. This book was so two dimensional, from the characters, to the super accelerated events ect. Honestly I skimmed the whole thing and if I can't get away with it, I won't be reading the other ones about Paloma.
What an interesting and entertaining read I loved it. Paloma and her meeting the boys Tommy,Cody, Keith and Quinn. I couldn't put it down and look forward to reading more about there adventures. Absolutely loved it and would recommend highly.
I read this after reading Melissa's and Diana's stories so I had already gotten a glimpse of Paloma, I really like her in this book and am excited to read more about her.
I enjoyed this read. It wasn't the best, but the plot and romance came together well. There was enough action and angst for it to be satisfying. I also found the characters interesting. I am definitely wondering what happens next in their story.
Just like all the books before this one was amazing. But it was shorter than all the other books in this series because it was getting to a very good part and then it ended. But thankfully I know there’s more to Paloma and the McQueen/Sandler boys story. But all in all I absolutely loved this book, but then again I love all the books that I’ve read so far by Rebecca Royce. So yep you got it I most definitely recommend this book to anyone who’s looking for a fantastic story to crawl into and get totally lost within its pages.
OMG!! I did not expect this!! I know this is a novella, but it might just be my favorite in the whole series!! 🤩 The McQueens and Paloma are the best!! They have any amazing story and are so very HOT together!! The rest of Paloma’s story is what I’m starting NOW!
