A Family to Call Her Own

After becoming a foster parent to a young boy, equine therapist Jordan Conley's life gets turned upside down. Little Levi is in need of an exceptional pediatrician, which means seeking help from Dr. Ash Sheehan—a man that, despite her heart-pounding crush, isn't her type. Her life is horses and hay, and she can't imagine the suit-clad doctor in a pair of cowboy boots. As a confirmed bachelor, Ash has never been nervous around women, but there's something about Jordan that flusters him, and working closely together doesn't help. The last thing he's looking for is long-term romance. But the more involved he gets, the more he wishes they could stay together…always.

A Baby For the Doctor

Stephanie Dees

A BABY FOR THE DOCTOR is the second book in the Family Blessings series. I loved everything about this beautiful story and I'm excited to continue the series. Stephanie Dees has a way of grabbing her readers and she never lets us go. Jordan is moving back to her biological father's home that he left her and her sister, Claire, when he passed away. It is really a mansion, the governors mansion to be exact. Claire has opened it up as a foster home and Jordan is running her equine therapist business there.

Jordan has decided to become a foster mother to a very sick and under developed little boy named Levi. It doesn't take her long to fall in love with this sweet baby and that is how she finds herself spending lots of time with the town pediatrician, Dr. Ash Sheehan. To say that Jordan and Ash are complete opposites is a huge understatement. Jordan doesn't feel she is good enough for Ash and Ash has some issues of his own! But there is definitely an attraction there and neither one of them knows how to ignore it or maybe act upon it! It was cute watching these two dance around their feelings for each other.

A BABY FOR THE DOCTOR is filled with twists and turns and had me staying up way too late one night to finish! I had to know where Stephanie Dees was taking us and what would happen to Levi. I really loved how the whole community came to Jordan and Levi's aid and only wanted Levi to feel loved and welcomed! The same goes for all of the kids! There is so much heart in Stephanie's writing that I was left with a huge smile on my face and my heart very happy. I could totally see The Family Blessings becoming a television series and I would love to watch it. All of the characters are very interesting and believable, so much so that I felt as if I've known them for a long time.

I was excited to try a new-to-me Love Inspired author, and happy to say I enjoyed her story! Even though this is part of a series I didn't read the previous book first and felt it stood well on its own, while incorporating characters that appear in all four books. There is a strong theme of family, the kind we build ourselves through love and determination. I loved how Jordan supports her sister and brother-in-law's family of foster children and also takes in Levi. She has a rough background, but has channeled her experiences and developed a therapy program that is fulfilling. Ash is drawn to her genuine and compassionate personality as they spend more time together with Levi, but she has a hard time believing that the doctor with such a different lifestyle than hers could be interested. They have great banter and I loved reading their interactions. Her relationship hangups bring some conflict into the story, but Ash's perseverance pays off as Jordan settles into her new reality as a mother and accepts Ash's love for her and Levi.

The Family Blessings books from Stephanie Dees contain stories of unconventional families and sweet, sweet romance. I had a lot of fun getting to know these lovable characters, their fears and dreams, their quirks and strengths, all in a small-town setting. Each one has challenges to overcome, but they never have to do so alone.

In A Baby for the Doctor, Jordan Conley becomes a foster mother for an adorable but hurt little boy, while Ash Sheehan uses his doctoring skills to help her out. Their story helps them to learn to trust, love, and take a risk or two.

Oh, this book was SO good!!! The little boy, Levi, tugged at my heartstrings something fierce. He came from an abused situation and when he first arrived at Red Hill Farm, he wouldn’t speak or look anyone in the eyes. His transformation once he began receiving love and care from Jordan was amazing.

And the two main characters in this story, Jordan and Ash, absolutely captured my heart, as well. Both of them battled insecurities about themselves from situations they’d experienced growing up.

I thought Ash was such a great character. There was so much to him that Jordan didn’t see at first. He had a very interesting back story and physical challenges he still dealt with. I loved seeing his heart for Jordan and Levi in the things that he did.

I really loved this story and look forward to reading the next book in the series.

I received a complimentar copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

I read this book in one day! I couldn't put it down and I was so emotional that I was crying most of the time! There are several different reasons why but I wont give away any of them! You'll have to find out why yourself so please read this book! I wish I was a foster parent after reading this story. What amazing work they do. I am in awe of them. I happen to know a woman & her husband that are foster parents and this story made me appreciate them even more. Jordan, becomes a foster mom overnight and her little charge, Levi, will probably be in my thoughts forever, just because I know that in actuality, there are hundreds of kids like him out there. What a special little boy Levi is and how fortunate he is to have someone like Jordan to love him and care about him! There are many ups and downs in this story but love is the overriding theme. Because Levi comes to Jordan with a health crisis, he needs a pediatrician and that means Dr. Ash Sheehan is there helping get Levi healthy. Ash is gorgeous, a supposed ladies man and not looking for a relationship. However, as both Ash and Jordan work together for little Levi, they can see that their preconceived notions about the other one wasn't quite right. They see what each other is, under the surface and perhaps they can be a family after all! The ending had me crying great big tears! I would, of course, definitely recommend this book!!!!!

A sweat heartwarming love story. It starts off a bit sad and will be pulling on your heart strings at times. The story does a good job showing a snapshot of the foster care system and some of the children in it. I loved every moment.

Though not necessary, reading the first book helps in explaining bits of the story and adds more depth to the second as we learn about the sisters and their growing families.

A Baby for the Doctor is the second book in the Family Blessings series and this one focuses on Dr. Ash Sheehan a pediatrician and Jordan Conley. Jordan has come to join her twin sister in helping abused and neglected children on a farm that was left to them by their estranged late father. Jordan is a therapist specializing with the horses and kids, not only the foster ones but also children of the community.

This was certainly a heart tugging romance and an emotional one concerning the little boy Levi who comes to be in the foster care of Jordan. Levi is a three year old boy who has been severely neglected and author Dees shows a realistic picture of how delicate and hard a job it would be to try to get a little one to trust others again. Jordan is a great mom to that little boy and Ash is with them every step of the way.

Now the romance between Jordan and Ash was so lovely to watch unfold. Both were very sick as children and they really are complete opposites. Jordan is a tomboy where Ash has a different model on his arm for every charity event he attends. And though Jordan is attracted to Ash, she is certainly keeping her heart guarded. Poor Ash is doing his best to get her to trust him and I like that he is not pushy but very patient and kindhearted. I really enjoyed their story.

I received a copy of this novel from the author. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.

The first book in this series showed the heart behind Red Hill Farms and fostering children while this one, the second, shows the hands and feet. There’s and abundance of heart (and heartache) in this story too.

While the foster kids (on in particular who we will get to in a few seconds) steal the show in A Baby for the Doctor, Jordan’s soft heart toward hurting children is apparent throughout. It’s that heart that draws Ash Sheehan to her in the first place.

As a pediatrician, Ash himself has a fantastic connection with the children of Red Hill Springs. And he has his own difficult childhood that gives him empathy for injured and ill little ones.

The attraction bubbles under the surface for this entire book but it’s little Levi that makes this a five star read. His situation broke my heart and as Jordan loves this little boy and he slowly begins to trust her, a beautiful picture of God’s love for us is formed. He’s always there, watching over us, waiting for us to trust Him enough to fall into His arms and plans, to run to Him when we’re scared, hurting, or lost.

Stephanie Dees’ ability to draw that connection is spot-on in this book and if you missed it, you should definitely make room for it on your to-read list.

A Baby for the Doctor by Stephanie Dees is a charming story about family and love. In this novel two people fall in love as they work together to care for a three-year-old foster kid who is malnourished and developmentally delayed and in need of constant care. This is a sweet story about realizing that family and romance can be found when least expected. Dees’ heartwarming story is a light, enjoyable, and quick read that readers will delight in.

Welcome back to Red Hill Farm, which is crawling with children and farm animals and those magical men of the Sheehan family. Claire and Joe are running a gaggle or twenty of foster children while expanding their own family as well. Claire's twin sister Jordan is working on expanding her equine therapy nonprofit when she ends up with a foster child of her own. It wasn't supposed to be that way but there ya have it. I love how this book starts with the stories of Claire and Jordan but I have a feeling it's really going to focus more on the Sheehan children, I mean adults but ya know, finding their own futures and happily ever afters. Remember how not too long ago I thought it might be time to step away from the romances? Yet, here I am, loving another romance novel. I still think it's time to switch it up a minute but this book soothed those rough edges for me and gives me hope.

Before I get all gooshy with how much I enjoyed this quick read I've got to share a couple of eh moments for me. Let's talk insta-love. I mean, I get they already knew each other and Jordan already knew she was a bumbling teenage girl around Ash, but. . . Let's just say things moved entirely, OK really, fast at the end. I mean REALLY fast. Maybe not completely insta-love but definitely insta- forever after. The other things that threw me off was the insta-trust. I'm loving on the word insta today, if you didn't notice. I mean Ash shares things with Jordan, kinda randomly, before they were doing the relationship thing unlike he had shared with other people before. Perhaps because most of his circle he grew up with so they knew and possibly because all his other 'dates' (I can't say relationships) didn't have sticking power but I don't know it felt weird. There were a few dangling things that just showed up unannounced and/or didn't find their other lace to tie off, but there are more books with this family to explore. So there's that.

Here's the thing, I love Stephanie's writing style. Harlequin books are light on pages and she more than makes up for that with depth and amazing characters. I might be a bit burning out on squishy romance but Stephanie made me love it all over again. She has created such a setting with the town of Red Hill Springs and the family center at Red Hill Farm. She brings social issues, as varied as child abuse and blended families, to light in a way that doesn't overpower the rest of the story. It takes talent and skill and a heart of devotion to create a story that secondaries children in foster care (and all the reasons for that) without taking over the greater story of life happening or creating a senses of pity or worse despair. This is another great book in a series that so far has kept me engaged and hyping for the next book.

I rarely pick up the love inspired books. (NOT HISTORICAL! BRING ME ALL THE HISTORICAL!) I used to read them ALL the time. They were the only thing I'd read, because of this I ended up burning myself out.
However, the last few I have picked up have made me thankful I decided to give them another go.
I have found some new favorite authors because of it.

This story definitely falls into the "grateful I read it" category. I seriously loved this story!

I loved the foster/adoption theme of this book. I could FEEL the craziness oozing off the pages, but it was one of those "good crazy" feelings. Their life was hectic, but they wouldn't have it any other way.
Another aspect I loved was the horse therapy! Both of these things have such a huge piece of my heart, and I love seeing them together.

Book 1 is about Claire and Joe. I make mention of this because they are definitely on the scene quite a bit in this book. Though you don't have to read their story first, it would be fun to know their full history and why they do what they do.

There were some great main and side characters in this book. I loved seeing all the crazy mesh together and make a loving family.

Jordan was great! She was a tough exterior, mushy interior kind of gal. She didn't WANT to need anyone, but she loved to give to other people. She loved her horses and she loved her clients.

Ash was the same way. He put on a show of not needing anyone, but gave himself completely to his patients.

Both characters LOVED kids and made them their careers. *ALL THE HEART EYES*
I just loved it.

It was one of those "opposites attract" romances. He was oxford print and loafers, she was flannel and boots. But watching them realize that didn't matter was 😍. I LOVED!

I really enjoyed the writing style, and the author did an amazing job with character development. I really felt I understood both characters, and enjoyed their character changes throughout the book. I cannot wait to pick up other works by Stephanie Dees.
I rated it a 4/5 stars.

A Baby for the Doctor
Family Blessings #2
By Stephanie Dees

Jordan Conley's life is complicated - she's attempting to grow her equine therapy practice while working with her twin sister Claire and her foster home. But when a call for a child in need has her signing the paperwork Jordan finds herself as the foster mom to a severely traumatized young boy. With Claire extending herself with her own foster children and her pregnancy progressing Jordan feels that she can provide the specialized care that Levi needs.

When she finds herself having to deal with Dr. Ash Sheehan Jordan sees a side of him she never expected. He is more than just good looks and a different woman on his arm. He has a caring personality that extends to Levi on a personal level.

Ash understands illness having experienced it both personally and professionally he's able to connect with his patients. And Jordan's determination to give Levi the best care possible doesn't surprise him though how she's managing to juggle his care along with her equine therapy business is even more impressive.

When a potential health crisis threatens Red Hill Springs Jordan, Claire and Ash are all worried about their youngest charges and the potential danger it poses to them. Even more concerning will this set back Levi's progress?

This is the second book in the Family Blessings series and has as much if not more emotional rollercoasters. Levi's story will break most hearts when he is first taken in by Jordan and the judgments of those who don't understand his needs are almost unbelievable. Ash has a layer of complexity that is slowly revealed as the book progresses as is his special bond with his most vulnerable patients. If you are looking for a read that will leave you on a happy, heartwarming note be sure to add this one to your TBR (to-be-read) list.

I was provided a complimentary copy of this book by the author with no expectations but that I offer my honest opinion - all thoughts expressed are my own.

“A Baby for the Doctor” by Stephanie Dees is a super adorable read as well. This time the story focuses on Claire’s sister, Jordan, and Joe’s brother, Ash.

I’ll admit, I fell in love with Ash as soon as he entered the story. This guy is your good-looking, heart-throb kind of guy who has a reputation as kind of a playboy, but truly has a desire for something real and genuine. Jordan has a major crush on him so the romance is kind of insta-love, but the way these two bond. It’s something quite special.

Jordan finds herself becoming a foster mother to a three-year-old boy who comes from an abused and neglected home. She has a way with children and gets this adorable little guy to trust her. Ash happens to be her pediatrician and the two work together to help this little heal and to show him the love he deserves.

I loved that despite the very real issues that come along with abuse and foster children, it doesn’t go into detail and is quite light and fluffy. I also enjoyed the horse therapy. Some of my friends have gone into that field so it was so neat to watch that on the pages of the book.

This was also an opposites attract romance. Those are my favorites! Jordan is your tough girl, mud on her pants, flannel, and boots kinda gal. Ash is your oxford and loafers, never a stain on his clothing even though he’s a pediatrician kind of guy.

This is book two of the Family Blessings series, but you don’t need to read them in order. This is a story that can easily be read as a stand-alone. Although, Joe and Claire, characters from the first book, do appear throughout so it would be more fun to read their story prior.

Overall, I enjoyed this story a lot. Highly recommended!

Jordan's sister Claire runs a foster home. Jordan does equine therapy on the same farm. Claire gets an emergency call for a 3-year-old suffering the effects of abuse who needs to be picked up from the hospital. Jordan agrees to pick up the toddler and accept temporary responsibility. Claire's brother-in-law Ash is a pediatrician and he agrees to help out as well. Jordan falls for Levi and decides to become his mom when his birth parents relinquish parental rights. Both Ash and Jordan had health issues as a child so they well know the challenges Levi will face. He is non-verbal (other than screaming and crying) and non-mobile when Jordan brings him home. Through love and therapy Levi makes great strides. They face Levi's difficulties brought on by the abuse as well as his exposure to measles.

The novels in the Family Blessing series are great stories about overcoming adversity. Faith in God is evident in the lives of the main characters. Their challenges with faith are not sugar-coated. Stephanie Dees appears to have done her homework in learning about all the aspects of the lives of the characters she has created. I am sure her experiences as a pastor's wife have also worked their way in to the lives of her characters. By the end of the fourth book you feel like the Sheehan family is one you'd like to get to know better. The books are well-written and enjoyable to read. I'm personally hoping for more books about the Sheehan family.

The series reminds me of the Baxter family books by Karen Kingsbury. If you are a Karen Kingsbury fan, you will probably enjoy the Family Blessing series by Stephanie Dees.

I want to thank Stephanie Dees and JustRead Publicity Tours for the complimentary copies. A positive book review was not required. All opinions expressed are my own.

A heartwarming story of love, family and looking beyond the surface to find who really lies beneath! I adored this book. The sad beginning pulls at your heartstrings immediately and endears you to little Levi from the start, and watching how life changes with him in it is very rewarding. Some of the characters are familiar if you happened to read the first book in this series, but if you are like me and missed it, I guarantee you will pick up the history without a problem. It's faith based romance at it's best!

Jordan Conley doesn't know exactly what she's in for when she steps in for her sister and agrees to foster a traumatized little boy, but she soon learns how much he needs her! Not only is his immediate situation concerning, but his future has the potential to be dire as well. She's happy to have a great doctor in the family ... even if she does get flustered when she's around him!

Pediatrician Ash Sheehan is on hand when she first meets Levi and assures her he will be with her throughout as they try to get this precious little boy settled. She's always had a crush on him, but he's so far from the type of man that she wants that it's not funny. Ash doesn't know she likes him, but he finds himself feeling sparks the more time they spend together. He's lived a different type of life over the years because of scars left over from his past, but he's starting to see the benefit in settling down and having a family!

My review today is on the Love Inspired, A Baby for the Doctor. I haven't read any of Stephanie's books before but I did really enjoy it. This book is well written, inspiring, and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.

Equine Therapist Jordan Conley and her twin sister were raised in foster care. Now Claire and her husband are raising eight kids; some foster kids, some adopted kids, and some their own including one on the way. Her home is filled so when they called with a new little three year old boy to foster Jordan steps up to raise him. Because of the abuse that Levi suffered he is in need of a special pediatrician. Jordan turned to her handsome brother-in-law for help.

Dr. Ash Sheehan is a cancer survivor with some health issues due to his treatments. He had lost his best friend in high school to cancer. He has dedicated his life to save children ever since. He is also determined not to love so he will never hurt like that again. Little Levi needed a lot of care but unfortunately it also means he is constantly with the beautiful Jordan. How is he suppose to keep his heart safe with her and little Levi in front of him reminding him of his dreams as a young man.

A journey of these three souls learning to love each other and to become a family. God has a plan for these three, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a good plan and not for evil. Give Him your heart and watch Him work in your life.

Jordan Conley moves to Albama after her twin sister Claire inherits a mansion (later turned into a foster home) and marries Joe from book 1. I love reading about the Sheehan family and I hope there are more to this series! There is so much love, fun times, and real life situations portrayed in every book.

Jordan becomes a foster parent just like her sister and picks up her first child at the beginning of the book; a little boy named Levi. Unfortunately Levi has been very abused and malnourished and it takes a long time for him to trust Jordan and to make physical and emotional progress. It hurt my heart so much to read about his condition and his brief upbringing with his biological parents.

Jordan turns to Dr. Ash (brother to Joe, Claire’s new husband) for assistance with Levi’s medical needs and they immediately hit it off. I loved hearing about this progress with Levi and I loved reading about Joe and Claires new life as well and all the foster children.

I highly recommend this book and this entire series! This will be a set of books that I keep on my bookshelf to read again and again! I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.

Stephanie Dees is a new author to me. I enjoyed her second book in the Love Inspired line. In A Baby for the Doctor, Jordan is starting her equine therapy practice when she is asked to foster an abused 3 year old named Levi. Ash is a pediatrician who is also Jordan's sister's brother in law. Ash helps Jordan with Levi especially when he gets sick. (Jordan's sister Claire and her husband Joe's story was told in the book The Dad Next Door but it's not necessary to read that book first. I haven't yet but plan to soon.) I didn't understand all the family background mentioned in the book but that didn't affect the story. Ash and Jordan's story deals with the characters not feeling good or worthy enough because of medical issues or their upbringing. While it is a Christian story, the characters don't blatantly discuss their faith but it is a theme. The story involves dealing with child abuse, diabetes, measles, and equine therapy and all these seem to be appropriately dealt with. I enjoyed this story and will look for others by Stephanie Dees.

Family to Call Her Own…After becoming a foster parent to a severely abused young boy, 3-years-old and unable to speak, talk, or eat solid foods, (equine therapist) Jordan Conley’s life gets turned upside down. Little Levi is in need of an exceptional pediatrician, which means seeking help from Dr. Ash Sheehan—a man that, despite her heart-pounding crush, isn’t her type. Her life is horses and hay, and she can’t imagine the suit-clad doctor in loafers in a pair of cowboy boots. As a confirmed bachelor, Ash has never been nervous around women, but there’s something about Jordan that flusters him, and working closely together doesn’t help. He’s serving as Levi’s pediatrician, helping with abuses suffered at the hands of his meth cooking parents and assisting when he contracted pneumonia. The last thing he’s looking for is long-term romance. But the more involved he gets, the more he wishes they could stay together…always.

While this is a heartwarming romance, there are some heart wrenching moments. Really reaches inside.

A fun sequel to the first book in the series! Though it is book #2, it can definitely be read as a stand alone. The author writes in an easy-to-read, fluid style that draws the reader into the small town of Red Hill Springs, Alabama and into the heart of the Sheehan family. This book focuses on Ash, the town pediatrician, who’s lived his adult life with a fun and easy-going attitude but has a painful past. Jordan has moved into town with her twin sister to set up a foster home as well as an equestrian therapy center. Both are fiercely loyal, amazing with kids, tender and compassionate, and fights for what they believe is the right thing. They just need to get past their huge insecurities and assumptions to realize that they are perfect for each other.
If you enjoy a well-written contemporary romance, you will definitely enjoy this book and the entire series.

I was given a copy of the book by the author/publisher via JustRead Publicity Tour and was under no obligation to post a positive review. All comments and opinions are solely my own.

Book two in the series, A Baby for the Doctor, focuses on the siblings of the two main characters in The Dad Next Door, Jordan Conley and Ash Sheehan.

The story intertwines Jordan’s life with Claire’s when Jordan begins equine therapy for Claire’s children. Ash becomes a vital member of the team when he becomes the pediatrician for Claire’s foster children.

Equine therapy is defined as a form of therapy based on experience and observation that involves interactions between patients and horses to promote human physical and mental health.

Not far into the story, I realized Jordan was “just what the doctor ordered” (pun intended). Ash’s persona was that of someone who just stepped out of GQ magazine, hardly a candidate for a doctor to children on a farm full of horses, goats and kittens. In contrast, Jordan was not afraid to get in the mud and get dirty, mucking out stalls and playing with animals and children alike.

I received this series from JustRead Tours. However, I was under no obligation to post a review.

Equine therapist Jordan Conley agrees to be a foster parent for a three-year-old boy, Levi, who suffered abuse and needs specialized care. Jordan seeks the help of her brother-in-law Dr. Ash Sheehan. Ash is a cancer survivor dealing with his own health issues. He has made it his mission to help children. Jordan has always had a crush on Ash, even though he isn’t her type and has no clue that she how she feels about him. That doesn’t stop him from developing feelings of his own. Could he possibly be ready to settle down?

This is the second installment in the “Family Blessings” series, and it’s a quick, yet emotional, read. It brings an awareness to foster parenting. The characters are well-developed, even though this is a short book. If you read the first book, you’ll notice some familiar characters. (However, this book can easily be read as a standalone.)

Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy, but I wasn’t required to leave a positive review.

I LOVED THIS BOOK - by page 2. I connected with Jordan right away. As a former foster mom, I knew just what she was feeling throughout the book: the joy, the heartbreak, the face on the floor prayers. Ms. Dee did a fantastic job bringing the realities of foster parenting while also giving it the positive perspective that often lacks in fiction.

Ash was swoony and steadfast. His heart for kids will make you melt and smile. While I don't live with diabetes, I do have a chronic illness, so I also connected with Ash, who was in a good place dealing with day in and out of life with a chronic disease while not letting it get the best of him. I appreciated that Ms. Dees also showed the side of him that got fed up, because we all have those days as well, but he didn't let drag him down.

An easy 5 stars. I'd give it more if I could! I was provided a complimentary copy of this story. All opinions are honestly my own.

The second novel in Stephanie Dees' Family Blessings series, this book pulled my heartstrings and never let go. It's the story of Jordan Conley (sister to Claire Conley from the first book, The Dad Next Door), who steps in as foster mother to a toddler who's almost totally unresponsive at first. She needs to rely on local pediatrician Ash Sheehan for help. She's always seen Ash as her total opposite -- a snappy-dressing playboy, while she's more comfortable in jeans and braids. But Ash has a real gift for reaching kids, and she begins to realize there's a lot of heart behind his handsome facade. It's wonderful to see baby Levi begin to respond as these two caring grown-ups reach out to him ... and, eventually, to each other. A genuine, heartfelt story!

A baby for the Doctor by Stephanie Dees is absolutely heartwarming. This book took my breath away! A baby for the Doctor moved me and had me feeling so many different emotions. I am still reeling. Stephanie you captured so many emotions in this one. The light you shed on fostering and the love that a foster parent feels for a child is earth shaking. You made sure everyone understands not all foster homes are bad ones.

The love Jordan immediately shows with her protectiveness to this child blows my mind. She loved this child from the moment she saw him asleep and scared. She was exactly what this baby needs!

Ash is an amazing pediatrician. He goes above and beyond to help to tend to Levi and Jordan. Get your hands on this book!!!!

A Baby for the Doctor is the second book in the Family Blessing series. The Dad Next Door was so amazing I went right into reading A Baby for the Doctor because I couldn't' wait. Again, Stephanie Dees outdid herself. Now Claire has opened up the mansion, the governor's mansion, as a foster home. Jordan decides to come to help Claire by being a therapist in the foster home. She then decides to become a foster mother to a very sick boy. It is an amazing story of how love, kindness, understanding, and passion works.
Stephanie Dees books are fantastic. They have so many amazing twists and turns to make it hard to put down her book. Her characters are realistic and have depth. The life situations are realistic and have good conflicts and resolutions.

A Baby for the Doctor

This is the second book from Stephanie Dees that I've read. Before reading this, I read the Cowboy's Unexpected Baby where I was introduced to Ash and some other minor characters. I have to say that the author writes really really well.

Levi Wheeler was a three year old boy who has development problems and traumatic experience, and Jordan's journey to getting the boy to warm up to her and her family really touched my heart. Loving and caring for someone who is sick is hard, and not your own blood is harder. But love conquers all. Levi warmed up to her and showed great improvement under her care. All I can say is that Jordan and other foster mom and dads out there should really be appreciated.

I loved this book! This is one of my favorite Love Inspired books ever! I loved the spark between Ash and Jordan and it was so fun to watch their relationship develop. I admired Jordan for taking on the challenge of a foster son and for how she quickly became so protective of him. And Levi the foster son...he was so precious! I didn't want to put this book down.

This is the second book in the Family Blessing series but can easily be read as a standalone. If you like contemporary Christian fiction, I highly recommend this book! I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
