Joseph "Jeph" Loeb III is an Emmy and WGA nominated American film and television writer, producer and award-winning comic book writer. Loeb was a Co-Executive Producer on the NBC hit show Heroes, and formerly a producer/writer on the TV series Smallville and Lost.

A four-time Eisner Award winner and five-time Wizard Fan Awards winner (see below), Loeb's comic book career includes work on many major characters, including Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, Hulk, Captain America, Cable, Iron Man, Daredevil, Supergirl, the Avengers, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, much of which he has produced in collaboration with artist Tim Sale, who provides the comic art seen on Heroes.

As much as I love the Thing, seeing him battle against Colossus doesn't do it for it. Not when we've already been seeing Colossus butting heads with Red Hulk numerous times in the main story already. And yet here it's just a single page throwaway with Rulk not wanting anymore of it, so he passes it onto Thing. What a waste. It would've been more interesting seeing Rulk vs Colossus and see how that settles in the end.
But nice team-up with Loeb and McGuinness again, and Morry Holloway's colours really do something for his art I've never seen before. Very bold and detailed, it looks great.

And then Magik vs Widow is cool, but I don't understand a word that's said as about half of it they're speaking russian. But I guess with these issues we're not here for the dialogue, just the action.

Kedua pertarungan di nomor tiga ini terjadi di Area Biru permukaan Bulan. Colossus versus Thing (tadinya versus Red Hulk sebelum akhirnya Red Hulk bosan) adalah pertarungan pertama. Pertarungan kedua adalah antara Black Widow versus Magik yang punya kemampuan berteleportasi antara dunia nyata dan Limbo. Jadi, pertarungan di antara dua superhero wanita ini, sebagian juga terjadi di dunia Limbo. Kedua pertarungan di nomor tiga ini terjadi persis sesaat sebelum Phoenix akhirnya tiba di sana. Yang telah membaca seri Avengers vs. X-Men tentunya akan bisa mengambil kesimpulan siapa saja yang menjadi pemenang di nomor tiga ini.
