The story of how Ruby gets her fairy Big wings. You have to be kind, brave or self-less to get your big wings.

My Niece brought me this book to read. It's nice we can share the joy of fairies together. The art is nice and colorful here. It's a good little story.

“The garden has lost its sparkle!”

Ruby, Luna and May have small wings and cannot fly without the help of their fairy flyers. When they earn their big wings, they will be able to fly on their own. In order to earn their wings, they must do something “extra brave, kind or helpful.” They have their chance when they arrive at the magic garden to find that it has lost its sparkle and a young deer can’t find its way home. Can they figure out what’s wrong?

Fun story with diverse characters for students just beginning to read. Ruby is a good problem solver

We LOVED these books and wish there were more! They have simple, magical stories about being helpful, kind, and curious. The illustrations had my daughter looking through the book long after reading, and the characters are drawn with beautiful features you don't always find in fairy books!

This fantasy book draws kids into the magic of the world around them. Fantasy books are like an escape to another world and this book definitely takes young readers there. Ruby is a fairy who gains her big wings because she is selfless and really wants to help a lost animal. her friends are so happy for her. The girls play and laugh until they see that something is wrong with the garden. Both friends try to fix it until ruby comes in and solves the problem. She finally got the wings that she dreamed of. The pictures are bright and engaging. Looking at them and how beautiful they make you want to keep reading. The best part is that they look like real children. In many fantasies, Fairies are not portrayed to look like real people. This book is kid-friendly and not off-putting. Some people do not like the aspect of magic and things of that nature but this book subtly intoduces it. The value of being selfless is apparent but theresu is no educational information. I do not think that I would use it in a classroom setting. I gave this book 5 stars because it is fun and pretty.

Not a bad story - little things can have unintended consequences (but why didn't Luna ever acknowledge that she had caused the problem?)
