Lots of interesting biographical information on Erwitt. Plenty of great and amusing tales, too.

Some of the reproductions seem pretty bad. There is also this terrifically annoying faux-how-to-guide influence pervading the book; it includes an entire, crappy appendix on how to use YOUR CAMERA to BE AS GOOD AS ELLIOT!! Screw you, Alskog, I don't put on airs; Elliot Erwitt is a master, I'm not.

And this snotty gearheadism escapes the appendix in places: the second photograph in the book includes this (superimposed) caption: "Erwitt's telephoto lens foreshortened perspective to produce strong design in this advertisement for Holland." Wow, you don't say. Don't get in the way of the material.
