This book had some great ideas and it was refreshing to hear a book talk about the team that it takes to teach kids. I gave it 2 stars because a lot of it was information I have heard before, already knew, and or felt like my school already had some of these practices in place effectively. Chapters 1-2 were harder to get through but I found 3-4 to not be as heavy. I appreciated that this book stated the importance of administration not taking a back seat to student achievement. I loved the ideas of a Beach Bag Literacy Splash, making sure conversations are on-going, and ample time/relevant PD is provided to help students become successful.
