I got this book from Goodreads Giveaways in exchange for an honest review.

I have some major complains about this book. It starts out really good with Mandy's brother, Marty, being picked up for the murder of his girlfriend. Good way to get my attention. But it goes down hill from there. Mandy seems to be more concerned with her beauty shop and her relationship with Aaron, her boyfriend, then hunting for clues as to who the real killer is. They don't go looking for clues, or how the other girls that are killed connect. The only way you even know something is going on is when one of the main charaters gets a text message from Evan, the cop friend, telling them that the have a new suspect. And then it is in the last few pages before you even get an incling that there is someone else involved or responsable for the killings. And a text from the cop friend saying they have their man.

Don't think I will be reading any more books in this series at this point.

WOW – Laura Stapleton never ceases to amaze me. This is the third full novel in the Atlantic Maritime series – in order to know a little more about the characters in this story and to know exactly what is going on, I would really suggest that you read Betrayal (the 1st book) and Impatience (the 2nd book) before reading Pleasures (the 3rd book). Each book starts pretty much where the previous book left off.

Mandy’s brother’s (Marty) girlfriend was found dead on the shore. Marty is asking Aaron to help him try to find out who really killed her. The law thinks it was Marty – but then when they found out what she did for a living (college student by day and exotic dancer by night) then the pool of suspects grew. I don’t write spoilers – but Laura will have you trying to guess who killed her all the way to the end of the book.

The incredibly talented Laura Stapleton does it again! This is the third book in her addictiveNo a Scotia series. This book has a delightful combination of romance and suspense that makes it nearly impossible to put down and I felt myself being completely sucked in to Aaron and Mandy's world. Don't miss the other two books in this series, and if you enjoy them, also check out Laura's other series.

Mandy has a brother who gets arrested right off the bat for killing his girlfriend. She is a stripper who is found dead on the beach, of course he's the last one to see he. So Mandy's hot doc boyfriend helps her brother to do some amateur investigating to clear his name. Cute story with a nice who done it. Little romance and some surprises. Always great in a murder mystery...
