Animal Attraction #2

Three Day Fiancée

Rate this book
Helicopter pilot Taylor Blankenship’s time schedule is maxed out. Between his job, his one-hundred and fifty pound slobbering mess of a dog, and his matchmaking grandmother, he has no time for anyone or anything-especially a woman. If only there were a way to get Grams to back down.

The job of New York City dog walker suits Caitlin Ramos perfectly while she preps for her CPA exam—steady, scheduled, and requiring very little human interaction; a huge seller since she’s still on the mend from a toxic relationship. Men suck. Especially her bossy hot client with the Saint Bernard that thinks it’s a lap dog. No way will she go for his plan to pretend they’re engaged to get his grandmother off his case. Down, boy.

Offered a bargain she can’t refuse, Caitlin finds herself playing the part of fiancée to Taylor. Fortunately, it’s only for three days. All she has to do is fake a relationship with Mr. Bossy Pants in front of his entire family, survive a fierce game of truth or dare with an unscrupulous pair of octogenarians, endure a one-on-one round of Twister with Taylor, and not lose her heart to a guy who turns out to be a lot more than she’d bargained for.

4 - "Find a way..." Stars!

The second book in Marissa Clarke’s Animal Attraction series, gives us Caitlin Ramos and Taylor Blankenship’s story, one which initially starts around her walking his dog Beau.

As sexy as he was in his uniform, she preferred him in a bath towel…

Their first meeting comes as a bit of a shock to Caitlin, seeing Taylor in nothing other than a bath towel, while he chases his beloved dog around his apartment. Turns out Beau has eaten something he shouldn’t have, something that necessitates Caitlin being on poo patrol (potentially) for the rest of the day.

"Low stakes… High reward."

The title of Three Day Fiancée pretty much gives you all the information that you need to know where this couple’s relationship heads.

How was she going to do this for three days…

I really liked the familial feel to this one though, as the bulk of the three is spent with Taylor’s family for their annual get-together. Close knit family bonds is not something Caitlin is used to, and it doesn’t take long for her to fall in love with the Blankenship’s as well as Taylor.

The more he knew about her, the happier he was that she was here… Not matter the terms.

This was a quick, easy, and pretty predictable read. The writing style was light, the drama levels low and the characters all extremely likeable. The plot moved along at a steady clip, and the giggles were plentiful as well.

"I'm glad you're here..."

It’s a good job that the books in the series can be read as standalones though, as this is an author that takes an absolute age to put a book together, and I have barely any recollection of Jane’s book, so I am not going to hold my breath on seeing Fiona’s book before 2020 hits.

Fun and feel good, Three Day Fiancée is literally as it says on the tin, and with a feel not too dissimilar to the film The Proposal, is an enjoyable addition to Marissa Clarke’s Animal Attraction series.

description Nothing says I love you like a weasel.”

For their own reasons neither dog walker, Caitlin or pilot, Taylor are looking for a relationship, but when Taylor’s St. Bernard, Beau gets up to no good, he sets off a chain of events which sees them faking their engagement to Taylor’s family.

description You never win if you don’t take chances.”

Plenty of shenanigans follow as they head off to spend three days with the family and whilst I won’t deny the seasonal timing of this was a little out of sync for me—with snow and mistletoe, in parts it felt more of a festive winter read—it was an easy, enjoyable romcom with a great cast of characters who created more than a few giggles along the way. Hoping we won’t have too long a wait for Fiona’s story.

description True love will always find a way.”

Caitlin was asked by her friend to walk a very difficult Saint Bernard for an extreme particular and difficult client. Caitlin hit it off right away with the dog…until she accidently runs into the Saint Bernard’s owner in the buff. Chemistry flies and it gives Taylor, the difficult client, an idea. He wants Caitlin to act as his pretend fiancé on his family weekend getaway. The family, his grandmother, has been on his case for him to find a wife. Caitlin is just what he needs to get his grandmother off his back. Little did he know she was exactly what he needs for the rest of his life.

I loved the family dynamics. This was one of those novels that you are spontaneously smiling away and everyone around you thinks you’ve lost your mind…yes, it’s that good.

Three Day Fiancee is the perfectly crafted contemporary love story.

I love the fake fiancée trope and Marissa’s words, so I jumped on this one as soon as I saw it.

I really liked Caitlin and Taylor. They’re both driven and lovely people. Together they have excellent chemistry and love for animals. Seriously, I think Beau absolutely stole every scene he was in. Or perhaps it was Grams...

Plot wise, it was adorable. I loved the weekend festivities and a meddling family was an added bonus. There was a bit of push and pull, but Caitlin and Taylor talked so much, there wasn’t room for any miscommunications and it was so refreshing to read.

Overall, it was a super cute quick read with an epilogue that was perfection. My main complaint is that I wanted more. I could have easily read more with these two.

One thing I have always appreciated about Marissa Clarke’s romances is there is always some humor, there is always a lot of heart, there is some heat, and most of all her characters grow throughout the story. Three Day Fiancée pairs two people who go from never meeting to engaged within hours just so the hero can get his grandmother off his back and the heroine gets some help with a fundraising event she and the co-owners of their business are planning. This was a rollicking fun story, with loads of sexual tension, crazy family, animal antics, and it absolutely was a delight to read.

On a day that didn’t start out well Caitlin Ramos can’t believe the eye full she gets when she opens the door for her first dog walking appointment and not only sees Beauregard, the huge Saint Bernard she adores but quite possibly the most attractive male specimen she’s seen in person running around in just a towel who is apparently Beau’s owner, Taylor Blankenship. A series of mishaps has then “engaged” before the end of the day and on their way to a family weekend for Taylor’s grandmother’s anniversary.

I loved that these two really knew nothing about one another and in the space of a weekend not only grew to admire one another but realized the other was pretty special. They had some obstacles including Caitlin’s past which made it difficult to trust people and her own judgment and Taylor’s job situation which would take him out of state shortly, but they also had a whole lot of friends and family that saw what they refused to; a connection that doesn’t come along every day.

Low on drama and high of fun and life, you don’t want to miss Three Day Fiancée!

Marissa Clarke never fails to delight me with her romantic comedies, including this insta-love romance with an emphasis on family relationships. Caitlin goes from daily dog-walker to fake relationship when an engagement rings ends up on her finger just in time for Taylor's grandma to show up, resulting in her joining him on a three day family excursion to celebrate Grams birthday. There are lots of fun family togetherness and wacky party games, as well as the opportunity to get a crash course in fake engagements with real sexy times. For Caitlin who missed out on having a caring family it's almost too good to be true, and difficult for her to consider translating the real feelings she's starting to have for Taylor into the possibility of more when their weekend is up. It's up to Taylor to convince her otherwise. Beauregard the St. Bernard gets a starring secondary character role. I recommend Ms. Clarke's romances if you're looking for lighthearted, sexy and fun reads with likable characters and guaranteed happy ever afters.

Delightful!
What can I say, I am a sucker for the faux fiancée trope.
You know going into it that there will be a "deal," then shenanigans, secrets, and juicy repercussions.
And Caitlin and Taylor's three-day journey did not disappoint!
My first time reading Marissa Clarke and I found her writing style easy-breezy, well paced, with just enough angst to keep my interest, and enough clever dialog to make me fall in love with everyone LOL. And Beauregard. And Taylor's grandma. Lurved me some Grams!
I will read Marissa Clark again, for sure. Fiona's character?....hmmmm....
One last note: That Cover!
I can't say why this one caught my eye, but those laughing faces and giant puppy body called to me.

I liked the hero, his family and pretty much everything in this book. Caitlin was not one of my favorite things about this book, but I won't hold it against her or the book. The story is good and the secondary characters only make things perfect. My favorite parts of the book were the ones with Taylor's family. They were funny people and that part gave me a warm vibe and some laughs. Is this a story we have seen many times before? Yes it is, but it's one of the good ones. As you can see from the blurb it involves insta-lust and for me it worked well. I am recommending the book because it was a short, light read and I enjoyed the ride. Next is Fiona and I hope her story will be released soon.

This was a sweet and cute fake fiancé story. This was my first book by this author and I didn’t know that it was the second book in the series. I had no trouble following along. This is a good book for animal lovers, there was some shenanigans from them at the end. I thought Taylor and Caitlin were cute together and they some insta love kicking after 2 days together. I’d be interested in reading a book about their friend, Fiona. She’s all kinds of shy and awkward and I’m sure that would be a great book on whoever she ends up with. Overall, not too shabby of a story for me.

When they were little girls, Caitlin and her friends dreamed to open a business together, one involving pets. They recently follow the long-time wish and now own Animal Attraction, an animals care shop service.

At 21, Caitlin thought she dropped out of college for Love. Now older and wiser, she's not ready to trust an other man again. She took the job of dog-walker while she's finishing her degree. One of her client is Beauregard, a huge Saint Bernard with an attitude problem, according to the previous people who walked him before. But Caitlin have no trouble with him. She didn't have trouble with his owner either, since he's always gone when she arrive. But Caitlin will learn that sometimes it's your own curiosity that can get you into trouble and that even when they aren't trying to, pets can make the best matchmaker ;p

For Taylor, an helicopter's pilot for the Anderson Brothers (a previous series from the author ;p), it's his kind heart that will lead to a disturbance in his life and because he can't resign himself to disappoint his grandmother when she misinterpret a situation, he end up with a fake fiancé for his Grams annual weekend of games. Talk about a memorable way to meet for the first time the woman who walks your dog.

I think it was only last week that I discovered this author and now it's my fifth book by her and I can say that even if I enjoyed her Anderson Brothers series, I prefer this one because the funny aspects spoke to me more, I guess, and the chemistry is everything I wish for . There's a playfulness in it that I simply adore ! And playful is how I would describe the hero. I had a great time following Caitlin and Taylor's adventures and seeing them falling in love and Grams's shenanigans but Taylor's loud, loving and funny family was the special treat of the story. Loved when he was affectionately bickering with his smart-ass teenage sister. There was one or two contradictory things that was confusing and even if Beauregard was often present, I wanted to see more of him.

Fake engagement is one of my favorite trope and this book is an other evidence why :) Can't wait for the next book !

Caitlin’s day is not going according to plan. From the moment she wakes up her carefully ordered schedule hits the fan. First, there is no hot water for her shower, then she has to skip out on her morning coffee, gets pelted by mud from a garbage truck and just when things couldn’t get any worse, she gets stuck in a torrential downpour. What a way to start her day! But wait, there’s more. She finally arrives at her first dog walking appointment with Beau,a Saint Bernard, only to find the owner still at home wearing nothing but a towel chasing said dog around the house. Whoa! Catching helicopter pilot Taylor Blankenship in nothing but a towel is the only highlight of her day, but then he goes and ruins it by ordering her around. She isn’t having any of that, but she does get stuck babysitting Beau for the day.

Caitlin tries her best not to be nosey, but she can’t help it. Then she gets caught trying on an engagement ring by Taylor’s grandmother which leads her having to pretend to be Taylor’s fiance for the weekend. What a way to end the crappy of crappiest days ever or perhaps this is fates magical way of stepping in placing two people together who are destined for one another.

OMG! This was the cutest story EVER. You have no idea how much I love Caitlin and Taylor together. Caitlin is a little spitfire. She doesn’t like being ordered around and taylor doesn’t like the word “no.” So it makes for some interesting banter between two strong willed people. The chemistry between Caitlin and Taylor was off the charts. Caitlin doesn’t have a great past with men and is reluctant to let Taylor in, but being with him for three days with his family opens up a host of feelings she really does not want to admit to.

Taylor’s family really steals the show. They are fun, outgoing, silly and really have a hand at throwing Caitlin and Taylor together, sometimes in uncomfortable situations that actually make them grow closer to each other. Beau is so so so cute. Makes me want to get a Saint Bernard! Awwwwww, I love Beau! Taylor’s gram is fiesty and only wants what is best for her grandson, Taylor. What I really loved most about the Blankenship family gathering is it gave Caitlin the opportunity to be a part of a real family that has a lot of laugh and love to share. Something she never really ever been a part of with her own family.

Three Day Fiance is an endearing, fake fiance romance that seems all too real. I absolutely loved the story and found myself really rooting for Caitlin and Taylor’s happy ending. If you love romance with a lot of laughs, a sexy hero, and lots of fun and games then do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of this book. You will not be disappointed.

I was in a book slump and had already picked up and rejected several books; then I picked up Three Day Fiancée and didn't put it down until I'd finished it. From the moment Caitlin and Taylor meet, their relationship is pure romantic comedy gold. As with any book that focuses on the pretend engagement trope, the plot requires a certain suspension of disbelief, but isn't some element of the fantastic what you want out our your rom-coms? (Because it's definitely what I want out of mine.) And from Caitlyn's no good, horribly, very bad day she's having when she meets Taylor; to the scavenger hunt and games of truth or dare at Grams' anniversary weekend party; to the zany antics at the Animal Attraction's first annual pet shelter fundraiser ball, this book sure delivers!

Caitlin is a great leading lady, and it's amazing how real she is being strong, sexy, and funny and at the same time so damaged and vulnerable because of the scars of her past. And Taylor. *Dreamy sigh* I think Fiona says it best: "Right… Nobody likes a guy who treats his dog like a family member and adores his grandmother and little sister." Taylor is just swoon worthy, and I love how patient he is with Caitlin's steam trunk of baggage. I fell in love with Taylor's family every bit as hard as I fell in love with the main characters, which made for a really enjoyable read. They're all so fun, and I found myself grinning like a moron through pretty much this entire book.

This is the second book in the Animal Attraction series, but can be read as a stand alone. There aren't spoilers for the first book, Dear Jane , as far as I could tell, though Jane is a side-character in this book. I assume the third book will be about the third founder of Animal Attraction, the painfully shy Fiona, and I can NOT wait to read that. It also has mention of or brief appearances by the characters from an earlier series, the Anderson Brothers: Sleeping with the Boss (Anderson Brothers #1) , Neighbors with Benefits (Anderson Brothers #2) , and Chance of a Lifetime . Upon finishing this book I immediately went and bought all four of these books, and I think that says more about how amazing Three Day Fiancée was than any review ever can. ;)

From the very start this fun romance had me laughing out loud. Caitlin Ramos is the only dog walker who seems able to cope with Taylor Blankenship’s boisterous St Bernard, Beau. One day as she enters his flat to collect the dog she meets Taylor for the first time - clad in a towel and chasing Beau round the room, what a sight. When Taylor’s grandmother later believes Caitlin is secretly engaged to him, Taylor convinces her to be his fake fiancée for just three days . . . . and the fun begins!

This is a hilarious story, packed with fun, games, family and laughs galore. The family dynamics and friend relationships are so important in this story. Caitlin hates being told what to do and Taylor has a habit from his military days of ordering her around - something she definitely resists! As the attraction between the two grows, the fact that he’s soon to move to work in Boston whilst she plans to work with her two friends in New York makes it unlikely this romance can succeed. Can love find a way for them or is their love doomed from the start?

If you enjoy the fake romance trope, you’ll love this superb romantic comedy. It is a cute, contemporary read with great characters, a manipulative gran and, of course, Beau! It is a delightful story to escape into and one that will definitely put a smile on your face :)

I requested and was given a copy of this novel, via NetGalley, with no obligation. This is my honest review of the book after choosing to read it

Hot damn what a great book this is! I loved it. Between Taylor (someone throw me some ice water) and the dog.
Caity works with her tow best friends, Caity is working on getting her CPA so she can get a real job as she calls it. Right now she's a dog walker for her friends business. Fiona is a Vet, Jane runs the business and Caity walks the dogs. Taylor Blankenship's dog has a bad rep and Caitlyn is the only dog walker that can handle him. He's been through several agencies, no one can handle Beau like she can.
Taylor is a helicopter pilot for a friend of his he was in the military with, he and his brothers own a very successful company. Taylor is on call 24/7 leaving zero time for a relationship. One morning when Caity shows up to walk Beau, Taylor is still at home, Taylor starts commanding her that she needs to stay with the dog all day because he swallowed something very valuable. Turns out it's an engagement ring. She manages to get the ring without too much trouble because Beau likes to squirrel things in his cheek, lo and behold, there's the ring. No poop plundering needed. She tries the ring on and can't get in off, meanwhile Taylor's Gran shows up and thinks she's his fiancé ,which is a lie Taylor told as he shows up shortly after his Gran arrives and this sets off the story line for the book. Caity is invited to Gran's 62nd anniversary party in the Catskills with Taylor and the rest of the family. She's not happy.
She's been burned so badly before, and so reluctant and protective of herself. Doesn't respond well to commands, which Taylor has a little habit of, but her really does try. So the weekend they spend together is hysterical . The family has a whole routine of games they play and Gran is the ringleader.
Taylor is due to be transferred to Boston from NY by his employer, who is also his friend. When he tells Caity that, she shuts him off. He's leaving in a week. He's a mess, she's a mess. Gran's meddling a tad. Her friends are trying to help. I loved every single minute of it.
The book is a great read. Funny, poignant at times, watching two people try to make the best of what they have together and the dog! Let's not forget Gran! Well written, low angst, lots of love and a man who loves his dog.
I loved it. Yes you should read it. Absolutely!!

Caitlyn Ramos has moved to the city to work as a dog walker with her two best friends at their animal shelter while she studies for her CPA exam. She is divorced from a cheating, total control freak who isolated her from everyone. She carries lots of baggage from this. She is fiercely independent and bristles any time someone orders her to do anything.

Taylor Blankenship is former military, and a helicopter pilot for Anderson Industries. He has such an erratic, crazy, on call/on demand schedule that he doesn't have time to date. Any attempts seem to always get interrupted by work. Anderson Industries sponsors the animal shelter Caitlyn works for.

A misunderstanding leads to a three day fake fiancée weekend between Caitlyn and Taylor. Taylor's take charge military personality rubs Caitlyn's you can't tell me what to do attitude the wrong way. The more time they spend together the more they realize how much they actually like the other.

I loved Taylor's Grams. What a feisty, cheerful, entertaining lady with a zest for life! I liked all of Taylor's family. What a great fun way to spend a family weekend.

This is an entertaining, minimal angst read. I've been in a bit of a funk lately and this family's interactions were a good pick me up.

I voluntarily read an ARC provided by NetGalley and the publisher.

This book has dogs in it, a very sweet and sexy romance, two main characters who are a joy to read about and a funny and enchanting story-line that had me hooked right from the start!
---
When we meet Caitlin, we get to know her as a really driven person who’s on her way to getting her CPA and in the meantime, she’s walking dogs for her friends business. She’s hell-bent on getting her CPA and love isn’t something she’s looking for after her terrible marriage experience with Gary, her ex-husband who treated her like crap. But fate decides to throw some yummy hot helicopter pilot her way, aka the Saint Bernard’s owner, the ‘difficult’ dog she has to walk now, where a lot of other walkers failed before her, to ‘handle’ this dog (of course, the dog is amazing and there’s nothing wrong with him I think, lol. He’s this over-enthusiastic overgrown puppy and I loved him to death right from the start)

And where she thought it was only about walking a dog, she’s in for a whole new adventure; to play this hot helicopter pilot’s – aka Taylor – fiancé for three days on a family getaway where they have to convince Taylor’s Gran that they’re in love with one another so gran gets ‘off his back’ about his love life. Getting something in return for taking this deal Taylor proposed her with, Caitlin accepts his offer, thinking it won’t be a big deal to pretend to be his fiancé for a couple of days...

Taylor Blankenship hit all the right checkboxes. He made her feel sexy and smart, and oddly, he made her feel like she had control. Not being in charge of him, necessarily, but having a say. Like he valued what she thought and wanted. And she liked it. A lot.

But of course it can’t be that easy since the sparks between Taylor and Caitlin are freaking HOT and keeping things ‘professional and standoffish’ is becoming more difficult by the minute for these two characters, who start to fall for one another when spending more time together while visiting with Taylor’s amazing family and spending a lot of one-on-one time in their own cute romantic cabin. Falling in love was never an option. Caitlin has plans, was determined to leave her love life behind and Taylor is about to move to another city. But we don’t get a say in who we fall in love with and WHEN we fall in love with this someone. Both characters try and fight their attraction to one another, which makes for a really great and intense developing romance. I love it when people are so attracted to one another and there comes a moment when they just can’t fight it anymore. It makes me believe that sometimes things are REALLY meant to happen and it’s awesome. Their developing relationship/romance is filled with joy, laughter and a lot of attraction that just explodes right off the pages.
---
This is a sweet, funny, romantic and sexy story about two characters who are fated to be together but who find themselves in a situation in which both of them feel like life got in their way and a future together just isn’t possible. But a connection this strong. it’s bound to put their worlds upside down and inside out and it demands you to rethink about what’s really important in life. Taylor and Catlin are so great together. Their banter, their attraction, their trust to one another are a joy to read about. I loved the way everything develops in this book; the story-line and their romance but also their character development. Then there's also the presence of Beau, the Saint Bernard who belongs to Taylor, who stole my heart. He's such a great addition to this story!! This book hit all right checkboxes for me regarding the story-line, characters, minor characters, plot and romance and thanks to the addictive writing by this author, this is definitely a 5-star read. I can’t wait to read more books by Marissa Clarke.

This is that kind of book, you can pick up ANYTIME, ANYPLACE, ANYWHERE. That kind of book that you can start reading and start enjoying right from the very first page until the last. It’s a fast-paced read and perfect for every romance reader out there!

Caitlin dropped out of college to get married. It didn't work out and now, older and wiser, she's not ready to trust another man again. Working with her two best friends at Animal Attraction, she is working as a dog walker while finishing her degree. When this story begins, Caitlyn is having the worst day of her life, until she enters her client's apartment to pick up his dog. Beauregard (Beau) is a huge Saint Bernard with an attitude problem. He was being chased around the apartment by his handsome owner, Taylor Blankenship, wearing only a towel. One thing led to another and he and Caitlyn end up faking an engagement for a three day weekend in the Catskills. Taylor is a helicopter pilot working for the Anderson Brothers. He will shortly be moving to Boston for a promotion. He also works crazy hours and does not want a serious relationship. His grandmother has been pestering him to find a woman to have a relationship with. When she mistakenly believes that Taylor and Caitlyn are engaged, they pretend for a weekend at her Birthday Celebration.

I love the humorous and playful way that Caitlyn and Taylor interact. His family has such a great relationship with one another that Caitlyn falls in love with them as well. I do not want to spoil the story for anyone, but the hilarious antics at the Animal Attraction Ball made me laugh out loud. I am so glad that Grams was such a smart lady and was able to see beyond what Taylor and Caitlyn could see for themselves. Taylor's sister Bethany was a hoot. It was a great brother-sister relationship with family bickering and teasing that showed how much they cared about one another. This was a great second chance romance story as well as a story that made you feel good reading it. Besides the short sexual scene, this was good, clean fun and would make a wonderful Hallmark Movie. I requested and received a copy of this book from the publisher, the comments in this review are my own.

description

Three Day Fiancee is a wonderfully light romantic comedy. I read this book as a bit of a refresher after finishing a few quite intense stories. It was ideally suited to this role. It is an engaging story with many funny and romantic moments, perfect for relaxation.

Marissa Clarke is a new to me author, but I enjoyed her writing so much I have already purchased Dear Jane (Animal Attraction #1) and Sleeping with the Boss (Andersons #1). I’m always looking for authors whose writing style I find both engrossing and relaxing. Through my work and study, I read a lot heavy, technical literature, and this combined with my love of intensely emotional fiction means that I’m always on the lookout for authors I can use to refresh and rest while still thoroughly enjoying what I’m reading. Marissa Clarke is shaping up to be a regular feature on my bookshelf.

Marissa’s writing flowed well, and the transitions between the points of view of Caitlyn and Taylor were smooth and at logical junctures. I can already tell this author has a sense of humour I appreciate. I’ve really come to enjoy the fake fiancee trope, when handled with humour, it presents so many opportunities for fun and often cringe-worthy situations. This book is a perfect representation of this with the shenanigans involving Taylor’s family being a highlight of the story. I loved how all characters were really well developed, and it was easy to form connections with them. Obviously, Jane’s story has already been told, and I need to play catch up with that one, but I’m really looking forward to Fiona’s book, which I’m assuming will be the next in the series. She is such a shy wallflower, it will be lovely to watch her bloom.

I’d recommend Marissa Clarke’s Three Day Fiancee to anyone who enjoys a good romantic comedy heavy on both the romance and the comedy.

I loved this one! The characters, the plot, and the pet auction was great! I laughed out loud a couple of times. Taylor's grandmother was always after him because of his lack of a social life. A helicopter pilot, he spent most of his time working which left little time for dating. So when the opportunity presents itself he asks Caitlin to be his fake fiancee and accompany him to his grandmother's birthday party. Caitlin agrees as long as Taylor participates in the Animal Attraction auction. Animal Attraction is an organization Caitlin started with friends Jane and Fiona. It's near and dear to her heart. What Caitlin doesn't bargain for is Taylor's family. His grandmother, his sister, his uncle, they all welcome her with open arms and make her feel like she belongs. Since Caitlin's own family is practically non-existent, she finds herself forgetting her arrangement with Taylor isn't real.

I really liked the characters in this one. While Taylor was supposed to be a bit of a player, with Caitlin it's different. He actually likes her and wants to get to know her better. Caitlin is the perfect match for him. She's kind hearted, easy to get along with, and Taylor's seriously hooked on her laugh and her zest for life. Once I started this I didn't want to put it down. There were some funny parts in it as well which added to the story's appeal. And I particularly enjoyed the scavenger hunt. I'm definitely going to be checking out more of this author's work.

I love, LOVE pretending stories! It's my very favorite trope. So when I saw this one, I had grabby hands to get it!

This book added a couple more things I really enjoy in a book, laughter and a dog. Beau may be a Saint Bernard but he believes he's a lap dog. And he believes in slobbery kisses. I loved him. And, of course, he loves Caitlin. She's one the few that can handle him. Must be love.

Poor Caitlin. She's having the worst morning as she tries to get to Beau's apartment for his morning walk. Of course, when she arrives to find his owner chasing him around the apartment in nothing but a bath towel, things look up. Hehe.

While it doesn't really seem like it could happen, that's what I loved about it. I loved the pure fiction of it. The sudden attraction with steamy chemistry that just won't be denied. I loved the forced kiss in front of his family. I loved the silly Grandma that loves to play games, including truth or dare. I loved the happy at the end. It's a big part of why I read. To get lost in another's story, one that's better than what I've got going on at the moment. And this story does that.

Fast. I read this in an evening. Didn't want to put it down and I was giggling all the way through it.

Fun. The silliness was adorable and endearing.

Sexy. These two are combustible.

Pick this one up to enjoy an evening!

*I received this book through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review*

I love the stories where the couple has to pretend to be a couple and then find out they are perfect for each other. They are just so much fun! And I think this book is that feeling very well.

I did chuckle once or twice reading this.

This is a sweet story with cute characters. Honestly, I really liked these characters. Taylor understands Caitlyn has a problem with orders and does his best not to give those orders, but explains why he will. Now, I liked how this is done to show growth and connection, but still wish there was more of him not giving orders.

The romance is well done and the obstacles seem realistic, so how they were overcome was refreshing instead of how some books just sweep it away or expect the woman to move for the man.

I really liked this one, more than the first, and will keep my eye out for book #3.

4 “Nonstop dreaming of shenanigans” Stars

As the first book in the Animal Attraction series, Three Days Fiancée was a fun, light and sexy read I enjoyed from start to finish.

Here we follow the story of Caitlyn, dog-walker extraordinaire soon to be a CPA and Taylor, sexy hot guy/helicopter pilot.

A series of unfortunate events finds Cait stranded in Taylor’s apartment waiting for Beau, a giant fluffy pup, to pass an expensive ring he’s swallowed. Fortunately, for Cait mostly, she finds the ring stuck in the dog’s mouth and just so happens to try it on as Taylor’s busybody and matchmaking grandmother comes in. Cue in massive misunderstanding that Taylor walks in on and then decides to exploit to get his Grandmother off his case.

Now all they have to do is pretend to be happily engaged for a three-day anniversary party, and then go back to their own lives where Cait does nothing but work and study for her test and Taylor is out flying his bosses at any given time.

With a powerful and instant attraction, both Taylor and Caitlyn have to fight the pull if they dare walk away with their hearts intact… as we all know, though, things never go according to plan.

Taylor was the total package, he came off as a bit of an anti-commitment jerk at first, but he was funny and charming, a total hunk beef and sexy as all get out. He was really awesome to his dog and his family and I really liked to see him fall for Cait.

Caitlyn had a very bad experience with men in her past, which left her more than gun shy. She had a lot of walls up, but Taylor and his crazy family tore right through them. She was very standoffish, which isn’t my favorite trait in a leading lady, but she ended up being cute and fun and was capable of deep feelings.

I know the “fake relationship” trope is not for everyone but I personally enjoy it very much, and Three Days Fiancée was a perfect example of why. With feelings, humor, and some seriously hot scenes, this checked all my boxes. Taylor’s family was just the frosting that made this sexy and fun cake even better.

Dog Walker Caitlin Ramos’s morning is off to a horrible start. Her building doesn’t have hot water, the deli where she gets her morning coffee isn’t able to make coffee, and she gets rained on while walking to see her 7am client, Beauregard. But, in an “oh my” jaw dropping moment, her day picks up in a memorable meet/cute when she lays eyes on Beau’s owner for the first time.

Taylor Blankenship is at his wits end. His two-year-old Saint Bernard has decided to swallow a family heirloom and Taylor doesn’t have time to wait Beau out. Luckily he runs into his dog walker and is able to convince her to help him out.

In a comedy of errors, Caitlin and Taylor find themselves pretending to be engaged during his family’s fun filled weekend getaway. For these two, the line between make believe and reality gets blurred and hearts get put to the test.

Three Day Fiancée is the standalone second book in Marissa Clarke’s Animal Attraction series. The book and series are loosely related to Marissa’s Anderson Brothers series. From start to finish, I loved this book. I honestly thought the laughs would just be in the beginning of this meet/cute, but they actually continued throughout the book. Taylor is a to die for hero who’s funny, charming, and sweet. Caitlin is a likeable and relatable heroine. She wants to make up for her past mistakes and make something of her life. She doesn’t necessarily believe it or know it, but she’s braver and stronger than she gives herself credit for.

If you’re looking for a read that you can simply lose yourself in, that will have you laughing and sighing, Three Day Fiancée is definitely the book for you.

I received this book from Entangled publishing and NetGalley in return for my honest opinion.

I don't know how I even keep doing it, but the books I read are always the second book in a series. And of course, I haven't read the first book.

Thank god that this book can be read as a stand-alone, I didn't have the idea that I missed things because I hadn't read the first book.

So, this book managed to get into the top 10 books I've read this far. It was funny, light and also not something I've read before. I'm a sucker for things like this, going on a 'holiday' without knowing the person you'll be with for the time being. The characters were very funny, and I loved the aspect of a dog as a big part of the book. I laughed way too hard at the events that were happening at the gala at the end of the book.

So, read this book. It is amazing!

I absolutely loved this book so hard I loved how there was that instant spark even if they were trying to fight there feelings. I cried and laughed so hard I think I may have peed a little lol (sorry tmi). I loved how that grams knew she was being given BS but she could see that they had really fallen for each other. I can't wait to read the next in the series.

When Taylor, a helicopter pilot, says he has no time for a relationship, he means it. Between his job, his lovable, but huge, dog and a matchmaking grandmother intent on finding happiness for him, his days are accounted for. He's lucky he gets to sleep. Something has to give and it can't be his job or dog, which leaves his grandmother's meddling. Which means he has to figure out a way to stop her.

Caitlin is currently prepping for her CPA exams and working as a dog walker in New York City works perfectly around that as she the schedule allows her to know how to budget her time, plus, and this is the biggest selling point - limited human contact. She's still healing from a recent breakup and avoids men as much as possible. And her newest client, Taylor, regardless of how hot and sexy he is, she's instantly against his plan to fool his grandmother into thinking their engaged. It's crazy, right?

But as Taylor and Caitlin begin Operation Fake Engagement, yes, she caved, don't judge her, she reminds herself she can handle anything for three days. She thinks. But add in that they're charade will take place in front of his entire family, a no holds barred game of truth and dare with a few seniors, and a game of Twister with Taylor gets things very...twisted, and Caitlin begins to doubt that she's faking anything.

What happens when the line between fake and real begins to blur? Is Taylor feeling it too? Can Taylor prove to Caitlin that all men aren't like her ex? Can Caitlin get Taylor to relax and enjoy himself, and her? Is a HEA in their future?

One-click now and follow along as two people strike an agreement that just could lead to forever.

Grades:
Overall - A
Plot - A
Character Development - A
Romance - A
Cover - B

I received a free copy of this title in exchange for an honest review.

Three Day Fiancee is an excellent take on the fake romance trope. Caity isn't interested in relationships after her husband ruined her for love. Taylor hasn't wanted to settle down since returning from his tour of duty. When Caity accidentally gets Taylor's grandmother's engagement ring stuck on her finger, they find themselves thrust into a sticky situation. Caitlin agrees to be Taylor's fake fiancee at his grandmother's party in exchange for help running a charity dinner. It should be easy, until they start falling for each other for real.

As I was reading this book, I kept checking how many pages I had left because I didn't want it to end. I loved Taylor's family the most, and I loved how deep Caity's characterization went. Taylor, too. All of the characters were amazing and I would love to read more books with this cast.

I did wish we'd gotten to see more interaction between Caitlin and Taylor post-engagement. And it bothered me that they didn't come up with a "plan" before throwing themselves into games with Taylor's family. However, the characters were amazing and the plot felt authentic and made sense from start to finish.

I recommend this book for anyone who loves the fake relationship trope and to anyone who just loves a good romance!
