Exciting textures for little hands to feel, flaps to life, and die-cut finger tracks to follow make this a delightful book that young children will want to read again and again. Meet adorable animal characters in a gentle rhyme that's perfect to share.
I checked this out from the library in the hopes that it would help to keep F (15 months old) occupied on a plane trip. I do feel it achieved that purpose pretty well, as there are plenty of flaps to lift and different textures to touch. Four-year-0ld L was interested in paging through this book on the plane for a while, too. There isn't really a story, each page basically stands alone with its various lift-the-flap activities. There are really only four pages, though, and I wish there were more.
