The Polgar Way to Better Chess! Learn Chess the Right Way is a five-volume chess puzzle book series aimed at the novice, beginner and intermediate level player, using the unique methods of the award-winning coach and former world champion Susan Polgar. Susan Polgar 5 books Learn Chess the Right Way are all excellent. I read the series because I teach a chess class to a grade school team. This book is probably beyond their current level.

Highly recommended for chess players. Each of the series has 500 themed puzzles and asks you to record the time to solve it. Some answers are readily evident to me, and others take a long time to solve and some I can't solve. It certainly teaches patterns to watch for in chess games. I could read the entire series again, with the exception of book 1, and learn more. I believe that pattern recognition, etc. is very similar to muscle memory in sports. Muscle memory in chess is training your brain.
