These two stories became increasingly frustrating to read and I couldn't follow along and hated it.

The first story starts off okay with the introduction of Rory essentially being married off by his parents to an Alpha he hates for monetary benefits (ie land). Rory runs away, shit happens, and he ends up rescued by the Alpha Daniel (how dumb to make both Alphas in this story with similar names, Daniel vs Damon). They are in some fucked up human town with half the population being shifters who live and do jobs like illegal immigrants. All the humans are pieces of shit and hate the shifters, acting like the equivalent of shifter racists.

All of that, fine, but the weirdest part of the whole story is the fucked up relationship between Daniel and Rory. They both want each other and have an immediate and instinctual reaction to one another, but the whole meat of their relationship is some convoluted misunderstanding (I think) because nobody can have a proper conversation with each other. It literally made no sense. I can't even describe how idiotic and nonsensical it is.

The second story is no better. No context is given for a majority of it and shit keeps happening to the Omega Jace with no explanation and neither the reader nor the character know what's going on. It's chapter after chapter of bizarre tests, no context, mind fucking, misunderstandings, lack of communication, and conflict between two characters about nothing. The Alpha's name is Cade and there is yet another character with a similar name, the butler Carl. Cade is MIA for a good part with Carl present and it was honestly just annoying keeping track of who was who with the little information.

Everyone is an asshole in the second story, except maybe Jace. There is a character aptly named Dick because he is the biggest asshole in the story. Don't know why for the majority of it, nothing makes sense. WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON? Who is a good guy, who is a bad guy? It's not captivating like a suspense thriller, it's just ANNOYING to read! And every time they go "let's talk later, let's talk tomorrow." No, TALK NOW! Back and forth, yes, no. It was exhausting.

Fuck.

I mean, I'm sure other people will like if not love the somewhat creative plots and the writing or whatever else. Not me though, I quite hated reading these two.
