I have read many of Janice Spina’s books and have never been disappointed. She writes with clarity and warmth. She doesn’t shy away from delving into another genre, as is evidenced by this eclectic collection of short stories.
The author’s tribute to her friend is heartwarming and is just the first story in this delightful collection. I recommend An Angel Among Us to everyone, as there are stories from multiple genres that are sure to appeal. This book can be read all at once or story by story. It is perfect for those who don’t have a lot of time but want something to read with their coffee or before bed or whenever they have a few minutes without committing to a full-length book.

This collection of short stories is diverse and engaging, most with a touch of the unusual thrown in. The author's imagination is evident in the range of plots and themes, as well as characters who populate the pages. Easy to read, this collection is ideal for grabbing a story here or there on a lunch or coffee break or enjoying all at once on a lazy afternoon or evening, However you choose to read this collection, you're bound to find your favorites among them. The title story and how it came about is in itself a delightful tale!

The collection of short stories in An Angel Among Us run from inspirational to contemporary so science fiction. I liked the difference as I am a big fan of short story collections. In the hustle and bustle of modern life there is always time for a short story. Janice Spina is a good story teller and you can tell by her work she has a caring and kind heart. A nice collection that will keep you interested and engaged - heartwarming, at times sad, but also uplifting.

This is a wonderful and well-written collection of stories. Most of the stories are beautiful and heartwarming, and those that aren't are enjoyable in other ways. The only thing stopping me from giving this book the full five stars is that some of the stories felt like they should have been the start of something longer, so their endings didn't leave me feeling entirely satisfied.

Author Janice Spina is a prolific and eclectic writer, whose creativity knows no bounds and whose books entertain readers of all age groups. Having had the pleasure of reading many of Author Spina’s earlier works, I looked forward to reading her newest creation and am happy to report that her first-ever short story compilation is ever so gratifying.
“An Angel Among Us” is fabulous. The characters that populate the short stories are from all walks of life, real and well-developed. Their touching stories resonate, as the protagonists confront and face up to life’s many challenges. Loss, regret, love and hope are ingredients you’ll find in abundance in this stirring and heart-string tugging book. Highly recommended!

The collection contains heartwarming stories from diverse genres. One of my favorites was “The True Meaning of Christmas.” Readers can enjoy this collection one sweet story at a time. This is a collection of several short stories that bring heart touching messages to all of us. I found the first story the most beautiful, but all of the stories will bring a smile of tenderness and a warm feeling to your heart. The author did a great job bringing together amazing short stories that are a pleasure to read.

Very enjoyable and easy to read. The author has covered all genre in this collection of short stories. Each story kept you entertained from start to finish. Great book to take on a trip.

Each of the fifteen stories are easy reads, and the characters are fleshed out well for being spotlighted in these short plots. Most of the stories have a feel-good ending with several that may provoke a stronger, less cozy emotion.
I was especially impressed with Spina’s dedication of the book to her deceased friend, Anne, and her retelling of Anne’s journey in the first short story. One of my other favorites was named “A Last Gift.”
Whether you enjoy the book in its audio version, as I did, or as an eBook or paperback, this collection is not to be missed.

A lovely collection of short stories by the prolific author, Janice Spina. The stories are many and varied, including mysterious clowns, bored fairies, a special locket and a creepy computer game. I enjoyed End of the Rainbow, a story about two naive North American girls visiting Ireland for the first time, hoping to find their pot of gold. Prince Charming is about first impressions and false assumptions. The book ends with a wonderful Christmas story that will tug at your heartstrings. There is a bit of fantasy, some romance and much hope in this collection. At a time when we all need some distraction from the woes of the world, these stories will offer a pleasant escape.

They say that variety is the spice of life. If you’re looking for variety, you’ll find it in this set of short stories. Diverse and intriguing, these stories were just the right length to fill the brief moments of downtime in my busy day. They were fun to read, relatable, and engaging. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. If one story stood out to me, it would have to be An Angel Among Us. This one brought on the tears.
