A call from an old friend stirred up feelings Amber thought she had buried years ago. Kelsey wanted help at a dig under an old Scottish castle - with Tomas's twin brother. She couldn't believe it. If his brother was back in their lives, wouldn't Tomas be, too? She didn't jinx it by asking Kelsey that. Nope, but she was on the next flight.

Tomas was on top of the world. He had a hot girlfriend. She knew about time travel, so he didn't have to keep secrets around her. So why did the sight of his old friends Amber and Kelsey make him uncomfortable? His girlfriend kept telling him to forget about them. But he couldn't. He wished he knew why.

Tomas

Loved this book in the Dunskey Castle series. It wrapped a few things up but not all. Clean romance and plenty of action.

Extremely childish, frustrating, and just plain flat and dumb the majority of the time... This book would probably be a really good one to read as a palate cleanser between more daunting titles, but truth be told I need a palate cleanser after finishing this one. It wasn't exactly terrible, but I didn't like the writing or the characters, despite thinking the plot was at least workable.
It was a little bit fun. I hated most of the characters and wasn't really rooting for any of them, but I did enjoy the time travel aspect... even though I feel like it really wasn't well done. Anyways, would not recommend this book unless you are extremely bored and into this kind of thing.
I could not stand the "witch with a b" and "B witch" comments that sprinkled the entire novel. I could not stand the main character for the majority of the time, either. I have never had a book on kindle more marked up than this one, mostly due to things that I found entirely grating. I had fun reading it in sort of a hateful, can't take my eyes off it way. I really wished the characters would just cuss, or act like the adults that they are supposed to be at any given moment in the novel, but that never happened, and on top of them acting like fifteen year olds the entire time, they also were flat as boards!! Still. Not terrible. Easy reading.
B-witch and variation count: 13
Final Note: #GALDUSSWEEP!!

How did the story line went from somewhen to nowhere?
I couldn't' for the love of me follow the whole Druid took over Tomas's brain throughout the story. Or how could a lost love, Amber, could help him.
It was a disappointing read after the previous story.
Weak plot line, no character development and inexistent romance. Amber gave me a roller coaster feel every time she wanted to help Tomas and then she run away when he didn't respond....oh, even though she knew he was being magically controlled (huh? Scratch head)
Now I am put off from reading more story even though I am curious about the Hadrian wall people. I guess I will read a history book instead.

Tomas (Dunskey Castle, #3), my fourth read from author Jane Stain, an author I've wanted to read since I began acquiring her books back in 2017, I own 21 of them. I got this book back in August of this year & am just now getting around to reading it as I've committed to reading the Dunsky Castle series in its entirety. I look forward to the next book from her, Time of the Celts (Dunskey Castle #4). I'll read more from this author & in this series, but what really got me going was narrator Andrew McDermott, I love his Irish brogue. “I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

I'm still a bit torn. I loved the time travel. I had to keep reading to find out how the spell on Tomas would be broken. So, there is mystery, intrigue and good characters.
I still find something missing. To me, Amber was childish. I am sorry to say that, but I can't help but say it.
Even though Kelsey, Amber and the ladies hug, enjoy their time and friendship together, I just don't get a natural connection from them. The kids are great.
I would definitely read more of the series though. There is a lot of fun and intrigue. I'm just being nit picky...lol... I've read 2 now and if I get offered anymore for free, I will definitely read them.

Another stone in he path

What I liked - More time travel to 1500s Scotland
What I didn’t like - A bit heavy on the angst of stolen love
Would I recommend this to a friend - Yes, if they were into historical romance with time travel thrown in

Boring

I knew I shouldn't have continued this series. I had already purchased the book though, so I finished it. Underwhelming to say the least. Don't bother reading. The author has a lot of growing to do in her writing.

This is book #3 in a series, and though I enjoyed the story of Toma's and Amber, I didn't like it as much as I liked the first two books.

It has all the same wonderful characters, and plenty of adventure and romance. I just didn't care for some parts of the storyline as much.

Still, it's a good time-travel adventure story, and I do recommend this whole series. I look forward to reading more by this author.

Magic and Romance. This is Tomas and Amber's story. Will the spell he is under be broken? Will he and Amber ever be together? Read to find out what happens.

Tomas

This is quite a story and the more it goes on the crazier it gets. It has its good points but it is so scattered with facts that it was hard to follow and even be believable.

Give me a man in a kilt and time travel and I'm happy.

I've read all of the books from Jane Stain in this series and with each book the story has gotten better! I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to reading more. I don't do spoilers because personally I don't like that but I can tell you it's a wonderful read and has some time travel in it. Characters are complex enough and story line has a nice flow to it. I highly recommend it! Nice change of pace how the time travel occurs!

This author is awesome. before i started reading her stories my favorite author for historicals was Catherine Coulter now i'm just not sure. The romance is clean. This being the third book in the series we see characters from the other books. Dont worry if you havn't read the previous books this is a standalone with a HEA although it does end kinda weird in my opinion like the author is going to make a 4th book so you know we will see the characters again. I love the interactions between the characters. In this one an evil druidess is mind controlling Thomas into doing her bidding. Meanwhile she also has a minion that is trying to kill thomas's ex because as you all know love conquers all so get her outta the way and thomas wil be hers. Will she succeed i guess youll just have to read the book to find out. You wont be dissapointed trust me :-)
