Andy McWain is a jazz pianist, composer, and writer from New England. He has performed improvised music throughout the United States, and in Germany, Switzerland, Japan, and China. His ensemble recordings (Starfish, Vigil, Resemblance, Interpreter, Mishawum, and Live at Audible Think) are available on the indie label Fuller Street Music (www.fullerstreetmusic.com), and from Distrokid. McWain is currently a full-time faculty member of the music department at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. I gave this four stars because it was beyond my ability to understand. It may be a five star book for those who understand it.
