Sarah O'Rourke is the alter ego of two best friends who have taken their passion for romantic fiction and erotica to the publishing world. Born and raised in the southern United States, one lives near Louisville, KY, while the other resides in Atlanta, Georgia. Neither is ever very far from a tall glass of sweet iced tea, their dog-eared copies of Gone With the Wind, or their Steel Magnolias DVDs!
Formerly an accountant and a chemist, they are now overworked, stay-at-home moms who adore their children, their husbands...and writing about love in every way possible!
I’m a huge fan of these smutty little insta-love novellas about obsessed alpha-males and the virgins of their dreams. I’m also a huge fan of Sarah O’Rourke and their unique writing style of southern humor, sultry heat and the sweetest happily-ever-afters. Combine the two in Fiona Davenport’s Sex, Vows, and Babies Kindle World, and you’ve got the makings of escapism reading magic.
Crenshaw Jacobsen, or Shaw, set his sights on Waverlee and pulled out all the stops to win over this beautiful but overworked young woman. He didn’t want just one more night with her — he wanted a lifetime of nights — and it took every tool in this billionaire’s arsenal to rebuild her vision of them into something that would stand the test of time. Along the way, readers are treated to loads of witty banter, crackling chemistry and a sweet love story. Waverlee was fiercely independent and no shrinking violet. She didn’t let Shaw just bulldoze right over her. Shaw got a run for his money in the smart and sassy Waverlee, getting her to see past one more night was worth every step in this sweet and romantic love story.
I devoured this novella, with a smile on my face from cover-to-cover, in about a little over an hour. For such a quick read, it sure was packed with humor, heat and heart. I smiled the whole way through Sarah O’Rourke’s One More Night, and it gets 5 smooches from me.
One More Night was a story that I LOVED so much, that I was ready to beg for one more night from the authors! Crenshaw Jacobson has always gone for what he's wanted, and when he saw the innocent, new bartender, Waverlee, he knew he would make her his. Waverlee Armstrong has been hurt deeply by the people that should have protected her, so she operates an attitude that she can only count on herself. When Shaw finally made his move, she let him know that they were just hooking up. But what happens when One More Night keeps going? This author duo is one of my very favorite, as I can't get enough of their writing. First of all, the well placed humor kept me laughing hard, while the sizzling sexy scene goodness melted the downtown. Their super talented, original, and brilliant writing style instantly captivates me EVERY TIME, and this story is no exception. My biggest issue was the length, as I'm not sure there is a number of pages that will ever be enough, but this one was shorter than normal, and I'm not too proud to beg for more. With that being said, CANNOT WAIT for more from this dynamic duo, so in the meantime, I'll just HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
These two are so damn sweet. So stinking cute, adored this couple. Crenshaw aka Shaw is a little older than Waverlee, but when he sees her all bets are off, he’s playing to win and he will do what it takes to win her over. He comes every night to her work just to see her. He brings in “reinforcements” to help win her over. He’s the ideal book boyfriend, knows who and what he wants and wears his heart on his sleeve. She finally agrees to see him outside of work. They share a passionate night together and she tells him that it’s only one night....but one night turns into 4 months, this had me laughing my ass off. She’s scared because she had crappy parents that basically didn’t want her, but Shaw wants her and knows she’s the one he wants to marry. He’s trying to convince her to move in with him and quit one of her jobs when an accident happens, it causes eyes to open and great news to be discovered.
This was a sweet and safe read, older man that knows who and what he wants, younger hesitant and hard working virgin, baby batter, a little pushing away and by that I mean she won’t admit he’s crazy about her, no ow or om drama (thankfully), epilogue and hea. Such a sweet read.
Crenshaw and Waverlee are the main characthers in this book and what names, they give them a presence before you know them!
This is an enjoyable read, Crenshaw has set his sights on Waverlee and is waiting for her to see him as a love interest.
Crenshaw is a successful man with money and Waverlee is a woman on her own, going to college and working hard to pay her way through college.
I found both characthers very likable and they worked well together, Shaw was quite Alpha but Waverlee was not having any of it and stood her ground when he tried to 'alpha' her, the exception being the bedroom.
Its not the longest book and the relationship moves from a night or two together to months passed a bit quickly for me, I would of liked more wooing in between, that said I felt the characthers cared for one another.
I enjoyed this read as I have others by this author and will be reading more of her titles.
If you're a fan of instant love you'll love this one. There is a good chance you'll fall in love with Shaw along the way. He definitely has many swoon worthy moments. Once I learned Waverlee's background I knew she needed someone like Shaw in her corner. He's everything she ever dreamed of, but that doesn't stop her from being wary. It's a good thing that just makes Shaw even more determined to win her over. Things get quite steamy between these two. Great chemistry between the characters. I loved the epilogue!

This is a new author for me so i was excited to read this....
Crenshaw Jacobson wants Waverlee and is determined to get her but she has her doubts. You'll understand why as the book continues.
Although I really enjoyed this book the beginning felt a little rushed and there wasn't any build up between the characters before they finally got together which would have been really nice to see.
Apart from that it was a really good read and that's why I've given it 4 stars.
Wow! who is this author? this novella was AMAZING! I absolutely loved this one! The hero, Shaw, is so deeply in love with the heroine and so perfect I dare you not to fall in love with him. The heroine got on my nerves with her trust issues and her insecurities but I liked the drama, angst she provided so I forgive her. She was also virginal and feisty which is great. Also the sex scenes are so steamy they will make you blush! Hero has a way with words, so dirty and hot! And the epilogue was adorable and melted my poor defenseless heart. Shaw is my dream man. I am crazy in love!
One More Night is a quick, sweet & sexy read. Waverlee's struggles from childhood have made her determined as an adult. She learned early on that you can't depend on anyone but yourself so when Shaw comes into her life, even as attracted as she is it's hard to let go, even for one night. Shaw on the other hand sees Waverlee, he sees her struggle, her need for control. But he's a man who knows what he wants and she's it. Lucky girl!! I loved both these characters, Waverlee's strength and Shaw's alpha made them the perfect combination for this story. Instalove at it's best!
Oh an don't you just love their names? It's not often that you find not one but two characters with unique names, names I'll remember specifically to this story.
“He couldn’t exactly explain the change that had come over him. It was as if his heart had instantly recognized its mate.”
“My soul knows yours, sweet girl, because yours is the missing piece to mine.”
Told from dual points of view, One More Night follows the story of Shaw and Waverlee. From the moment Shaw laid eyes on Waverlee, he knew he had to have her. There was an in-explainable connection between them, and he would stop at nothing to win Waverlee over. Waverlee has never known what love is. Her family life was far from perfect and she learned at a young age that they only person she could count on in her life, was herself. Never wanting to depend on anyone else, Waverlee worked hard to get the things that she wanted in life, never taking a moment for herself. She never saw Shaw coming, but he was a force to be reckoned with. She never stood a chance and if fate had anything to say about it, one night would never be enough…
Since this story is a novella, you know I gotta keep it short and sweet, so I don’t give anything away. Overall, I thought this book was a good read. It was fun. It was sexy. I easily read this book in just a few hours. This is definitely a story with insta-love, but the characters have a lot of heart and such great chemistry that it works well for their story. This story is very light on the drama. There are a few intense moments, but nothing crazy or over the top.
If you’re a fan of insta-love/insta-romance and are looking for a quick and sexy read, this might just be the book for you.

My oh my, this was so good. The H is the perfect alpha with caveman tendencies that falls instantly in love with h, but h is very shy and insecure. H has to convince h for more than one night. This book is a great story with friends, humor, sex, and a heart stopping moment all in one little package. This is a must read, so go buy this book now.

This was a quick, sweet and sexy story. This is the story of Shaw and Waverlee . I really liked Shaw, e was totally alpha and sexy and really sweet. He was head over heels for Waverlee. Waverlee was on ok heroine. She had some issues with commitment and her extremes in avoiding it irritated me a little bit. Everything was resolved nicely and there was a sweet ending.

Shivering against him as she parted her lips to speak, Waverlee moaned as his tongue swept forward, stealing the opportunity to deepen their kiss. And holy moly, the man could kiss. And not just any old kiss either. It was the-steal-your-breath-I-can’t-live-without-his-touch-because-nothing-else-in-the-world-matters kind of kiss a girl spends her life dreaming about. Their tongues danced together for long minutes as everything else faded away. The people. The noise. Everything took a backseat to the fierce passion Shaw created with a simple touch of his mouth to hers.
Forcing herself to find her voice when Shaw lifted his mouth from hers to take a deep breath, Waverlee flashed a furtive glance up at his darkened eyes. “Wow,” she breathed shakily, clutching handfuls of his light blue dress shirt in her fists as the world seemed to spin at warp speed, “I..I…don’t think I’ve ever felt anything like that before,” she whispered, the words catching in her throat as his finger swept against her lower lip.
“Then you best hold on real tight to me, baby, ‘cause I’m just getting started,” he replied, dropping his head to steal another deep, wet kiss from her lips as he curved one big hand around her neck, wrapping her silky hair around his fist and tugging gently.

In One More Night alpha hero Shaw falls instantly for virginal heroine Waverlee. However, Waverlee is leery of getting involved with Shaw: she’s attending the local community college while working two jobs – getting involved with a guy is no where near her priority. She’s alone -her father left before she was born and her mom hit the road as soon as she turned 18. Suffice it to say that Shaw has a lot to overcome to convince Waverlee that a relationship between the two of them would work.
Overall, this is a cute novella. O’Rourke makes it clear from the start that Shaw has instantly fallen for Waverlee and wants her to be his. While she is attracted to him, her reluctance to enter a relationship also makes sense; not only does she want to get her degree, but she also has to work two jobs in order to do this, since she doesn’t have anyone else to help her out.
I appreciated that Shaw respects Waverlee’s independence and desire to make it on her own, while also making it clear to her that he wants their “one more night” deal to last forever. While it is established from the start that Shaw has fallen and fallen hard for Waverlee, I would have liked to have seen more of Waverlee falling for Shaw. I thought the ending to be contrived and unnecessary, though since this is very much in the vein of an old Harlequin novel, (at least plot wise) it may actually be appropriate. Overall, this is an unobjectionable romance novella with some very hot sex scenes.
What rock have I been hiding under? Why, oh why, haven’t I read any books by this author before? I need to be having words with my so-called book friends, me thinks lol.
I’m a firm believer that every reader needs a bit of insta-love goodiness in their reading material from time to time. And this beaut had it in delicious spades!
Crenshaw ‘Shaw’ Jacobson is one of those lip-bitingly good Alpha males you come across in books that earn an automatic entry into your favourite BBFs list. He wants what he wants, and nothing stands in his way. One look and your lady bits would be all aflutter. Sheesh! Is it hot in here, or is it just me? Fresh air for one please!
And the lucky lady he has set his eyes and heart on is Waverlee Armstrong….
“My soul knows yours, sweet girl, because yours is the missing piece to mine.”
See what I mean? Holy exploding ovaries, Batman!
However, trust is not an easy concept to Waverlee. She has only had herself to reply on for so long. Can she trust Shaw with more than just her body? Is this man worthy of holding her heart as well?
I LOVED it, even the heart-stopping OMG bit at the end where I wanted to throw a wobbler! One more night, I just wanted one more chapter.

Crenshaw Jacobson never really believed in that whole lightening striking, head over heels, love at first sight stuff until he walks into the bar one night and sees little Waverlee Armstrong. Not sure whether Cupid hit him with his arrow or instalove really is a thing, Shaw knows she's the one from that moment on. He just has to convince her of it.
After being abandoned by her parents, Waverlee Armstrong has some, um, trust issues., especially when it comes to some too-good-looking-to-be-true-man, so when hot shot Shaw Jacobson starts coming into the bar where she works, refusing to sit in any other waitress' section and stalking her with his bedroom eyes, she's determined to resist his considerable charms. He's persistent though and what's so wrong with giving herself a break for just.one.night?
Great story with a alpha guy and a fiesty girl that perfectly complement each other. Fun extra characters that added to the story. This was a sweet instalove book with some seriously hot loving and tender moments.
Waverlee Armstrong has learned that she only has herself to depend upon after growing up with an absentee father and a mother who said goodbye to Waverlee as soon as she turned eighteen. She's sure she couldn't hold the interest of a man like Crenshaw Jackson when she couldn't even have a long term relationship with her own parents. Shaw is selective about the women who lets into his bed, but the more he learns about Waverlee, the more he knows she could be his forever. Now he just has to convince her he's going to stick around even if he has to do it one night at a time.
I really liked Waverlee; she was strong and independent, and instead of feeling sorry for herself because of her circumstances, she was working hard towards a better life. I loved how patient and determined Shaw was with Waverlee; he knew about her background so he understood her trust issues even when it frustrated him.
Hot and sweet, funny and touching, this was a 4.5 star read for me.
I love Sarah’s books, these ladies write some awesome books. This book is part of the Sex, Vows & Babies Kindle World. Crenshaw knew the moment he saw Waverlee that she was the one for him. Now he just has to convince her to give him a chance. He only needs one chance. Waverlee works two jobs and is a student as well. She doesn’t have time for a guy. Waverlee was abandoned by her family at an early age so she is leery of commitment. She thinks that her family didn’t want her, what does she have to offer a man like Crenshaw. Crenshaw takes his chance and gets Waverlee to give him one night. Now he just has to get her to give him more than one more night. Can get break through her walls and get her to give him forever? Will Waverlee finally realize she can have her happily ever after? Waverlee is a great girl but she is very self-conscience. She thinks that there is something wrong with her. Crenshaw wants nothing more than to give Waverlee everything she deserves. This story was funny, romantic, and had a twist in it. Another great book ladies. I was given this book in return for an honest review.
One More Night is a quick read but packed with sexual heat enough to keep me warm on a very cold night. It has that tough alpha man with the sweetest heart character, it's very easy to fall in love with Crenshaw Jacobson.
Crenshaw has his heart and mind set on one woman and he will try his hardest to make her his, even if it takes one more night sitting at the bar til she notices him. Once the connection is made he is not willing to let her walk out of his life.
Waverlee Armstrong has had a tough life, she is use to depending on herself and is not willing to let anyone in, for fear that they will leave her. It takes one night to let her guard down and accept the chemistry that she has with Crenshaw, but will she be willing to accept more from him?
I enjoyed this read, it had me swooning and feeling all those shivers that come from the heat radiating off the pages. This is a insta-love that needs to be read to enjoy all the feels. 4 Stars
Crenshaw Jacobson wants Waverlee and is hell bent on getting her. For him it was love at first sight. He shows up or stalks her every night at her job for days before she finally gives in and sets with him after work one night. Waverlee doesn't trust easily and for her one night is all she's offering... until one night becomes one night again and again and again.. Crenshaw has to keep his cool cause he's all in and wants to move at mock 5 but doesn't want to fight cause he's afraid she will leave. This was a short great read by a new author for me. It was fast past, witty and the sex was off the charts hot! Reviewed for HeadTripping Books by Amy
Waverlee Armstrong has survived a tough childhood, leaving her jaded and hesitant to give her heart to anyone. Her parentals failed her miserably, but they taught her one tough lesson for any child to learn at an early age - there's only one person you can trust and depend on, and that's yourself.
Crenshaw Jacobson is a dream. He's gorgeous, strong, and wealthy. But those aren't even his best qualities. He's committed to prove to Waverlee that she's the woman for him, his soul-mate. He would give her the world if she'd just let him.
With her walls up and her heels dug in, Waverlee's not open to a committed relationship, but each morning she's willing to give Shaw 'one more night.'
Will Shaw ever convince her that they belong together - forever?
No spoilers here. You'll need to one-click this story to find out.
Okay that was hot! I am fanning myself now. Dam this was one hot little book. This book is about a 4 hour read so just right for before bed. Got some sexy as hell dreams form it. Now as it is a short book this will be a shot review.
This is about a young woman and virgin, Waverlee has had such a rough life being deserted by her family; she is not easy for her to trust or love easily. But when Shaw sets his eyes on her, he has one goal in mind. Make her his and not just for now. He wants forever. But all she is willing to give him is one more night. And one more, and more, and more, till months past by and he is so fed up he wants her to see it is forever. But then something happens and now he is even more determined, let’s hopes he is able to change her mind.
Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this book, please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like it when you do; they value your opinions too.
Waverlee was a starving college student working two jobs along with her classes. She didn't have spare time to herself, let alone date. But when Shaw, a self-made man put his sights on her, he knew she was the one for him and he wasn't going to take no for an answer. It was only a matter of time before Waverlee understood the way it was going to be. He came into the bar she worked every night before he finally made his move. After much persuasion from Shaw and Waverlee's co-workers, she agreed to go home with Shaw for only one night. The following morning Shaw convinced Waverlee for "one more night" until she was staying with him every night, but stubbornly promising him only one more night. Will Waverlee ever let down her pride and let Shaw help her and love her or will she insist on remaining independent?
This is a novella with an HEA and instalove. The perfect story when you want little angst and a short story with a happy ending.
This book was a decent read. Once I started, I didn't want to put it down and only did when I HAD to run a few errands!
Waverlee Armstrong is working two full time jobs as well as going to school. She is running herself very thing. While working at the bar, a patron happens to have his eye on her. She quickly realizes that he won't let anyone else wait on him and that he wants more than what is on the bars menu.
Crenshaw "Shaw" Jacobson knows what he wants and will do whatever it takes to get it. In this case, he wants Waverlee. And on more than a one night stand basis the way she is thinking.
These two are good together in words. It didn't really seem like there was a lot of chemistry between them to me. That kinda fell flat for me but it was still a good read. I would reread it.
This is a NOVELLA. If you're expecting a novel length book, you will be disappointed. This is around 90ish pages and only takes a couple hours to read depending on your reading speed or your timing to be able to do it in one sitting.
*I received an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion*
The story has laughs, secrets, naughty fun, twists & turns, and heartbreak. I was pulled right into this story. The story flowed well and I was kept interested.
This is Waverlee and Crenshaw’s story. Crewshaw knows what he wants and is not afraid of going after it. He wants Waverlee and is determined to have her. Waverlee knows she is the only person who she can count on. She knows Crewshaw wants her but she can resist. She can have her fantasies and she will be fine. Crewshaw is about to change her mind. He is going to get her all hot and bothered and then he is going to show her everything he knows she craves. She can give him one night, right? What happens when one turns into two? Can Crewshaw prove to her he will be there for her inevery wayy?
I loved these characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
