How is he loving me and her at the same time? Was the question Jordyn asked herself for years and years until she reached the point of no return. The only feeling she experienced when she looked into her husband’s eyes was Resentment. Jordyn Adams deserved more but because Nasir King, Leader of The Underworld was all that she ever really knew she was unaware of what love was supposed to feel like. Lies, murder, betrayal, hurt, disappointment and fear was what her life consisted of from the day she met him up until she reached her breaking point. Nasir had her heart and she had his, but only one half belonged to her. The other was attached to Lauren Howard; the love of her husband’s life. In this crazy love triangle, three people are bound together but in the end, one will be set free. The Underworld is a street-crime collection of urban fiction stand-alone books. To fully understand RESENTMENT you must first read Please Catch My Soul, Pointe of No Return, From His Rib, The Christ Family, Stranger In My Eyes and The Arraignment, Resentment and The Arraignment II

Redemption gave me a run for my money!!! From the characters stressing me out, the horrific scenes and sad moments, I’m just stunned! The title threw me off because 90% of the book was me searching for redemption worthy moments.. but I digress. Nako is a master storyteller. The way she pulled me in and kept me coming back.. there’s something addictive in these stories! You cannot tell me this series couldn’t be a tv series! Now my biggest gripe remains with Nasir, the master manipulator and secret holder - I’m still very much not a fan lol! However, I was proud of Jordyn a few times so props for her growth. But my heart ached for Lauren and I’m eager to know more about MJ.. and whose wife was snitching? Lawd, let me go to the next book!
So much happening. Just when you think they are done something else happens. I loved the book. Can't wait to read the next book. I would highly recommend this book.
There was no progress of any of the characters. Both Jordyn and Lauren remained the same fools as they were in the previous 2 books. The ending was almost comical cause it made no sense at all. Maybe the book was about Nasir redemption cause Lauren and Jordyn experienced no type of redemption
Nasir ain’t sh!t. Jordyn finally woke up and played him so hard. Lauren is up on game, but has continually allowed Nas to play her where she faces physical harm once again. When will she find out Nasir’s truth concerning her? When will she see that he only cares about her for what she can do for him and let him go?? So much went down in this book. I still have many questions.

It took me a lil longer to read Redemption because Nasir and that damn Jordyn got on the very last nerve I had. Demi and Papa loss of their son was heartbreaking, and poor Lauren. I'm so #TEAMLAUREN cause it's like looking in a mirror. MJ is my girl as well, I never liked Miko and I still don't (but ironically my bestie name is Miko😄). I'm liking Sean and Jackie. But Nas needs to grow up, but his heart must be made of ice. Dude straight cold hearted. Jordyn makes my head hurt, she can be so much different if she'd listen to her intuition, but I know she's going to be the downfall of The Underworld. I first read "IS SHE THE ONE" by Nako, and now I'm hooked on this author. Keep'em coming. You are great with that pen.
Smart man, but ignorant when it comes to emotions. I’m glad he’s technically not messing around with a lot of females but the 2 super serious relationships he had with Lauren my favorites heroine of all time now, it’s because how she loves the Lord . Any way Nas definitely doesn’t deserve her and without her the Underworld wouldn’t of started out so smoothly so fast. I hate jordyn with a passion i feel like she the slimy side line chick lol but Nas said different with his dumb butt. Lol I’m loving this series and getting sad now I’m getting to the last few books... can’t wait to find out all about my girl MJ .
Nako girllllllala you have done it AGAIN! This book took me a while to get through simply for personal reasons and life’s demands. But your passion and talent has me so into the Underworld (heck all your books) that they’re like old friends I can pick right up where I left off with regardless of time in between. I love that Simon and Lo can confess and reciprocate genuine love, and I’m not too sure why Jordyn thinks she has such redemption in this?!?? Either way banger from Nako now onto Orange Moon! 😘
I just love me some Lauren Howard. I hate how Nasir chased her down and made her love him again just to break her heart all over again. He asked her to do the unspeakable but oh how it has backfired on Nasir King. Simon who was suppose to be a mark has shown Lauren what love is supposed to look like. I thought Jordyn King couldn't irk my nerves more than she already did but I was wrong. All the book sense no common sense. I can't believe he chose her over Lauren. Now Lauren has chosen someone over him but we all know how Nas handles those type of situations.
I love me some Lo! I even like papa too! And of course we can't forget about Malachi! Jade doesn't deserve him! With her whorish a**!please let Miko be the snitch not Demi! Maybe Jade or jordan! Give Chi a good woman... someone who is worthy of his heart! Is Lauren ever gonna find out about Nas, tried to have her killed and is the reason her baby died?Nako keep the words flowing, you are doing an amazing job as a writer!! Oh, and is Lauren gonna find out Nas had papa to kill Ben?
There was a lot going on in this book. Pain, heartbreak, 💘, serious health issues for MJ and sexual assault as well for Lauren. Too many grimy things kept happening. Papa & Demi suffered a great loss too. Nas is still mental and Jordyn is miserable with him. It was cool to see Sean find 💘. Good riddance to Polo & Mina mean a$$es. Finally, Lauren is happy with her new beau, Simon Schwartz, DA for NYC!
Damn Nas story was long as shit. But I’m so mad now cause I’ve falling in love with Jade and Chi,Papa and Demi and Lauren and Miko and everyone having they problems. Nasir is just a messed up person. I’m mad Lauren came back. How the hell he gonna get mad cause she wanted to leave after the rape situation. What happened to Polo and Mina? Like so much questions but a good read
As always a good read. However instead of replaying portions of previous books word for word, a brief summary of previous events from the other books would have been much better. I found myself skipping alot of pages because some parts were quite repetitive. Though a little frustrated and inpatient I was still intrigued enough to finish the book..
I am completely caught up in the underworld. Nasir is a mf for sure. I get how he feels about LO and J but man he is a manipulative son of a gun. I love how as I learn each character I embrace them flaws and all. I go from being on one side or another to simple embracing who the6 are with some kind of understand even if I disagree with their actions.
Great read i love that Lauren is finally getting someone who deserve her love. Jordan became a beast at over stepping nasir shit. Jade hated Lauren but she was nothing but a whore herself and couldn't talk about no one. Miko still is a mess and Sasha is still a mystery to us all.
Whoo chile, somebody gets me a fan because Nako turned the heat up in this one. In case you wondering, the love triangle between Nas, Lo, and Jordyn is still heavy in this book. That will change by the end of the book but honeyyyy the secrets! the secrets! the secrets! I was literally like IKYFL the whole book! Like wow I am flabbergasted
Man Man Man, some of these women or selfish on top of stupid. Lo sweet pea I need you to get it together. This goes to show that some women actually lose themselves in the mist of loving a man. Self love is the best love. I'm still not sure how I feel about Jordyn, she's rubbing me the wrong way.
The bombs that were dropped in this gem 💎 oh my goodness. This series literally has me sucked in and I can find my way back out. Lauren I pray she can get it together one day life is so unfair. Jordyn I really do not care for 1 bit! So many other characters and so many emotions but I just can’t seem to get enough!
I enjoyed this novel in the series a lot of clarity was given about Nasir, MJ & Lauren. Found out Pastor Howard was a trip! Really wanted Lauren and Simon together. Jordyn is one silly chic as well as Lauren, they are both willing to be made a fool of by Nasir. Something is definitely about to go down with the Underworld! A lot of repeating in this novel to build the story up!
This book was very good because we seen Lo Lo choose her for once. Nas show us vulnerability. Jordan boss up and finally gets that degree and opens her dentists. Nas mom also go down memory lane and mourn her daughter. MJ choose to be left alone. Loved this series
I don't know where to start but to say this book captured me from the very first page! I am even more Team Lo! She has to be the strongest determined woman and I admire her so much. I am just so happy she has finally found love. I have gained more respect for Jordyn, it was about time she bossed up on Nasir and made him see her worth and to step outside of her shell and realize she is her own woman. Nasir is a snake period point blank. I understand a little more why he is why he is but still a snake nonetheless. I am sorely disappointed in Papa he could have done way more to save Ryan and my heart breaks for Demi. I have a newfound dislike for Jade and Malachi is still a real man. I feel MJ's pain and I love her as she is an awesome friend. Miko should get knocked off. Sean and Jackie are cute. Where the heck was Sasha? I'm happy that Noel is at peace finally. And oooh baby THE Farren Knight, she is my she-ro! The best to ever do it. The realest! This is an absolute must read. I am ANXIOUSLY awaiting the next installment! I can't get enough!
I love how Redemption went more into detail about everyone's relationship. I would have liked to read more about Simon and Lauren while living together and during her pregnancy, plus where was Nas and how did he take them living together? Oh my goodness, Chi and Jade are they going to make it? Jade was definitely suffering sex addiction, wow. Jordyn has truly bossed up, but is it god for or bad her? I can't wait to read the next book drop.
This fool don't kno the Queen is the baddest piece of the broad! Nasir rub me the wrong way he really f****d two women's lives up. But he did Lo so wrong. What is Love? All the couples went through it. Which wife snitching...Jade or Jordyn???
A bit confused at the end because I think I read this book out of order. The story seemed to follow Resentment, but at the The Arrangement II was listed as what I should have read first.
I really enjoyed this one. I’m glad Lauren found strength to let Nasir go. It’s refreshing to see Jordyn get her self together. I was very sad about what happened to Demi & Papa but glad they were able to work through it.
This was THE BEST book in this series yet ... I didn't see numerous editing issues not was there a problem with the flow of the story ... Simply Magnificent! I cannot wait to read more!
I want to know who is Nas loyal to. It seems nobody. Why did he not have security on Lauren? I really want to know do he knows what love is. My heart goes out to Lauren. Simon loved her.
This book is definitely a page turner. So much information on all the characters and you never know what’s going to happen next. I’m so ready to see how Nasir handle jordyn. Lauren oh Lauren ummmmm got to love her but her decisions stress me out.
I never understood how a woman could blame any and everyone for her misfortunes except the woman in the mirror. Jordyn has to be my most hated female character ever. She’s rich and can’t buy a clue...
I thought this book was about Nas and Jordyn and her finally getting it together with Lauren. Why was it a repeat of MJ and the girlfriend and Papa and Demi and Chi and Jades problems?
